Story
Clifford, a handsome BIG RED DOG, is a Redbone Coonhound mix. His good looks turns heads!! He's about 2 years old and weighs 70 pounds. He is neutered, utd on vaccinations, HW negative, on preventatives and microchipped! Clifford is a little shy when meeting new people but once he learns to trust he will be your best friend! He was a dumped stray so we don't know anything about his past. We do know that if his forever family has the patience to help him conquer his rears, he will reward them with his true goofy personality that loves to play, get treats and scratches behind his ears. Clifford would be fine as your only dog or would benefit from having a confident dog his size or bigger to play with. Sturdy, older children would be great too! A home without cats is recommended. Clifford is house and crate trained too! A fenced yard (appropriate for his size) and vet a reference are required. We adopt in the DFW area only (within 1 hour's drive from Terrell) as we deliver our dogs to their new homes. You can apply here: https://www.terrellanimalalliance.org/application

Story
Lenny is a sweet, loving Catahoula that has bonded with his American Bulldog big sister. They get along fantastically with each other and should stay together. They do not do well small, aggressive dogs. Lenny found his big boy bark, and will let you know when a "Stranger" is around, but he is a good boy and will do parkour off your ankles as soon as he can. He likes to greet your with a goofy smile, too. He loves to cuddle, hog your bed, give kisses, spin around and steal your socks and pillow. This sweet boy just wants to love you and be loved in return. He is so sweet and cuddly. He likes to steal socks, shoes, blankets, pillows....and he will sometimes enjoy them too much and they ultimately get destroyed...He makes faces, silently judges you, side eye, plays with his sister and being a chaos creator. His lip occasionally gets stuck on his teeth and you can't help but love it! If you want a dog to love and cuddle, my boy is the one to steal your heart. Watch out ladies!

Story
Violet is a love bug to her people but cautious of others until trust is built. She takes her role as her family's protector very seriously. She is thought to be a German Shepherd and Golden Retriever mix. She was born July 25, 2023, weighs 53 pounds, is fully vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, HW negative and on preventative. She sleeps all night in her crate and is house trained.  Due to Violet's rough start in life she will need a family with patience, allowing her to bond in her own time by giving her love, positive reinforcement and remembering that it's a journey not a race. Once she gains your trust she's likely to cuddle like a baby with her people, play with her chew toys and will love going on walks. Her ideal home is one where the mom or dad work from home or part time and has a doggie friend to play with. She does okay with respectful cats, but does try to herd anything that moves faster than a walk whether it is other dogs, cats or humans both young and old. She sees any type of fowl as a chew toy so we recommend a home without pet birds or chickens. A fenced yard and vet reference are required. We adopt in the DFW area only (within a 1 hour's drive from Terrell) as we deliver our pets to their new homes. You can apply for her here: https://www.terrellanimalalliance.org/application

Story
11-month-old Australian Shepherd/Heeler mix. He is a very smart, sweet, friendly, playful, and lovable dog. He loves being around people and has been great with kids and our cat.He knows sit, stay, leave it, and come, and he has a lot of potential to continue learning with consistent training. He is potty trained, neutered, up to date on shots, and current on worming and flea/tick medication. We are needing to rehome him because, as much as we love him, we cannot provide the freedom and care he needs. He has a strong herding instinct and chases our chickens and cows. We had hoped that a GPS collar would be the answer to his need for boundaries, but we have not been able to make it work reliably. We also aren’t home enough to give him the freedom, exercise, and attention we wish we could. We believe he would do best with a fenced yard or plenty of space to run and play, or with an active owner wh
