Story

Simon is a Neapolitan Mastiff. We originally took him as a favor from a family that couldn’t care for him. He’s been with us since 2019. He’s about 5 years old now. In 2021 he started having severe skin issues. Excessive itching, bleeding, redness, irritation, and some growths, which has progressed. We’ve done everything we can possibly do. Countless vet visits, so many medications, dermatology, etc. He has not had allergy testing, which he may need at this point, but we can not pay it since it’s very costly upfront and then the medication that will be required to keep it going. I feel that he would be best suited for someone that can keep up with his care and we can not unfortunately. His quality of life here is not what it should be. He’s a great dog and deserves more than we can give him.

I walk well on a leash, but I definitely have some strength so I do best on a gentle leader or harness. I have been looking for my furever home for 492 days and counting as of 08/28/23 and am now considered a Diamond Dog! My adoption fee is $75. I am spayed, microchipped, current on my rabies vaccination, basic boosters and heartworm negative.  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. I am a very sweet girl but can be shy at first. If you have other pets, a meet and greet is suggested. I walk well on a leash but will need more time with basic training. I have been looking for my furever home for 457 days (as of 09/13/23) and am now considered a Diamond Dog! My adoption fee is $75. Story

We have had Oliver since he was just weeks old and he has always been such a loving pup. He was given to my daughter by a friend. He has always been an indoor dog and he was potty trained pretty easily. He is great with children, as long as we had him never had issues with him. He loves attention and for people to pet him. He is not a barker, only when he wants to get someone's attention or when he really needs to go potty. He has been around dogs but gets a bit nervous with bigger dogs. Although we marked him as a border collie, because that is what his paperwork says, he is mixed with another breed, not sure what it is. Our family loves Oliver, we are just in a different season in life and our family situation has changed. Our schedules have gotten pretty busy and my daughter has gone off to college. We have tried everything we can but we are at a point where we feel like he needs to be with someone who can attend to him and give him the love and care that he deserves.

Hello, my name is Petey! I am a 4 year old neutered male American Bulldog mix that weighs 80 Lbs. I was found off of Santa Fe Lane in Rockwall on 10/26/22 and never reclaimed. I am a fairly calm boy who knows basic commands. I am great with people of all shapes and sizes. I love being a couch potato. I would do best in a home as an only pet. I have been diagnosed with chronic dry eye that requires someone to apply lubricating eye drops to my eyes twice a day, but I am a very good boy when getting my meds. It was recently diagnosed and due to my condition going untreated for so long, I've developed some scar tissue over my eyes. I can see just not 100% but it has no impact on my quality of life. The eye drops help tremendously and are very affordable. A side from the daily eye drops no other long term medical treatment for my eyes are necessary. I have been searching for my furever home for 320 days as of 09/11/23 and am now considered a Diamond Dog! My adoption fee is $75. I am neutered, microchipped, current on my rabies and basic boosters. I did test positive for heartworms but thanks to Rockwall PAWS, I am able to receive treatment with no cost to my adopters. Please feel free to ask RAC staff if you have any questions about heartworms or my heartworm treatment.  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX.
