Story
Rosemary came to us from a connection and a newtork of dog loving animal welfare supporters in the DFW area. She has been living on the street on her own for five years, and in that time she had 3 litters of puppies that were all taken into homes or into rescue care. It was finally Rosemary's turn with the dedicated help of some amazing people and a professional trapper.  She was heartworm positive and has undergone treatment. SHe has come such a long way form being a frightened little lump in a private room to the happy girl she is today.  While Rosemary has made extravagant strides in the direction of being accustomed to living indoors, she is still frightened by quick movements or loud sounds. She will need a very specific home willing to continue working with her - perhaps for the rest of her life - on learning how ot be a dog and a dog living in a home. She is incredibly sweet and does accept human affection when she knows the person.  Rosemary is approximatly 6 to 7 years old.  If you are interetsed in opening your heart and home to Rosemary, please visit RedstoneHuskyRescue.org/adopt ##1100735##

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
This boy came to us as a literal skeleton late in 2021. He had to gain a lot of weight before he could be treated for his heartworm disease and he had so much to overcome when it came to trust and confidence. Zero is finally ready to move on from the rescue and meet his new family! Zero has not been able to play with other dogs for quite some time, but he was known to be dog friendly prior to us taking custody of him. Due to the severe burden of heartworms, Zero has been activity restricted since he came to us for his safety. He will need to have a slow reintroduction of activity, but he can be a normal energetic husky over time. He will need a dog experienced home as he does have some behavior setbacks. Due to being on high doses of steroids for a long time, he struggles with house training. With a schedule/routine and some positive experiences we are confident in Zero's abilities. Another of his struggles is that he does have resource guarding when it comes to food and water, we have worked with him on this but he may need the assistance of a professional trainer. He is crate trained and eats in his crate and does wonderfully there. If you are interested in adopting Zero, please visit RedstoneHuskyRescue.org/adopt for his adoption profile and application. ##1247284##

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Saiph is a spayed female husky mix that weighs approximately 55 lbs. She is shy at first meeting new people, but will warm up after a short time. She requires slow dog to dog introductions. She is likely not safe around cats.  She is very sweet once she opens up and is rather quiet on the day to day. She will bark and become vocal if another dog encouches on her space, but we work with her every day on this.  Saiph was found as a stray and had very obviously recently weaned a litter. She was heartworm positive and has completed treatment with us. If you are interested in Saiph, please fill out her adoption application and we will reach out to you as quickly as possible!  Petfinder: Please visit RedstoneHuskyRescue.org/adopt for adoption profiles and appications.  ##1568471##

(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Good with dogs, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Luna is a sweetheart that has been through a lot in her short life so far. She spent the first many years of her life living in a 4 x 4 outdoor pen that was never cleaned. She would get fed at most once a day and sometimes she would get clean water.  Sadly, her life outside with neglect of her care she was heartworm positive. She has, however, successfully completed her heartworm treatment with us and is looking for her new home to treat her like the princess she is!  Luna loves children but can get rowdy at times. Learning to control her excitement would be key to good success there.  She is houstrained and her foster family says she does amazing in her crate.  She does well with other dogs once she is introduced slowly and has some time to warm up to them.  Cats are a questionable housemate for Luna. She will chase them so it is not recommended that Luna openly comingles with a feline house mate.  ##1381731##
