Story
Meet Chevy! Chevy is the most handsome 8 year old pup you will ever lay your eyes on! And he’s got the brains and personality to match! Which to be honest doesn’t always happen haha. He was surrendered by his family to the shelter with his brother. His brother was adopted but Chevy found himself left behind and set to be euthanized for space. When we saw he only had a few hours left we busted him out and I’m so glad we did. Chevy is going to make a family so incredibly happy one day. He is truly a unicorn dog. Going through our temperament evaluation there’s typically a few little things that come up…. Not with Chevy though. Every test we through his way he passed with flying colors. Truthfully it’s almost been a bit boring but he is certainly 100% good boy certified! -Good With Other Dogs. Has an “all out” play style. -Very Sweet and submissive with people. -House/Crate Trained -Leash/Obedience Work We Are Currently Working On. Definitely Had No Work Prior. -Demands belly rubs and he’s cute enough to where you will cave in and give them. -Lower drive GS -High Energy and social would be a great adventure buddy We do not ships dog out of state. All adopters must travel to Dallas to meet their potential animal in person before moving forward with an adoption trial run.

Story
Meet Littlefoot! This little tripod is one of the sweetest pups you’ll ever meet. She was found as a stray along with her puppies in South Texas a few months ago. Since rescuing her, we have gotten her fully vetted which included amputating her front limb, as she was born with a deformity that was causing her some pain. She’s a little over a year old, good with dogs, but prefers a mellow companion. She’s extremely sweet with people and would like to be a cuddle partner for hours on end. She’s also potty trained and crate trained. She has not been cat tested so unfortunately, we do not know how she would do with kitties. Because Littlefoot was a "street dog" the first year of her life, new things can be scary at first. So we will require a patient leader that can teach her that the world is not a scary place. Our trainer will be happy to continue to work with her on confidence building once she enters into your home, as all of our pups come with 3 free at home sessions with one of our trainers. If this little bundle of energy and love, sounds like the perfect match for you, please visit the link and fill out an adoption application so that we can schedule a phone call to chat about her . Please note we do not ship dogs out of state. If you’re currently not in the Dallas Fort Worth area, you will have to come to Dallas to meet her.

This is Taz.....The spunky one of the crew! If you have been looking for a running partner...a bestie that will go on adventures with you, look no more! Tax is your man! He is incredibly smart and is already learning commands! As go go go has he is, he loves to be held like a baby and a lapdog at the most perfect times. Taz was found on the side of the road with his siblings in a rural area. They were left there to fend for themselves. These babies deserve to know what a really family looks like! Story
Meet Coconut Coconut is a sweet 18-year-old female Poodle mix weighing about 16 pounds who is looking for a calm, loving home to enjoy her golden years. She was surrendered when her previous owners were no longer able to provide the care a senior dog deserves, and now she's ready for her next chapter with a family who can give her comfort, stability, and love. Despite her age, Coconut is doing quite well overall and appears healthy for an 18-year-old senior. She has been receiving care for a skin infection, which is being treated with medication and is improving. Skin infections are common in dogs with underlying allergies, especially when left untreated, and Coconut is already on the path to healing. If she is adopted before treatment is complete, her adopters will receive her remaining medication along with instructions to continue her care at home. Coconut was also treated for a double ear infection and is scheduled to return on 01/21/26 for her second treatment to ensure full resolution. This follow-up appointment will help keep her comfortable and feeling her best. Coconut is currently living in a foster home, where she's enjoying a cozy environment while she waits for her forever family. She is spayed, microchipped, current on rabies and basic boosters, and heartworm negative. Her adoption fee is $125. Because Coconut is in foster care and not housed at the shelter, an approved online adoption application is required prior to scheduling any meet and greets or adoption. Apply here: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ Coconut may be a senior gal, but she still has so much love to give&#194&#151and she's hoping to spend her golden years surrounded by comfort, care, and kindness.  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense. January 7, 2026, 4:15 pm

Story
Meet Baxter &#194&#150 Your Future Adventure Buddy! Hi there! I'm Baxter, a 2-year-old male Shepherd/Husky mix weighing in at about 85 lbs of fun, fluff, and full-speed zoomies. I recently found myself at Rockwall Adoption Center through no fault of my own, and now I'm ready to start my next chapter with an active family who's ready to keep up with me. I'm a smart, energetic guy who loves learning new things and staying mentally and physically busy. As a Shepherd/Husky mix, I'm very people-oriented and thrive on interaction, companionship, and being part of the action. I'm the kind of dog who wants to be involved in your life&#194&#151walks, playtime, training sessions, and probably supervising whatever you're doing (quality control is important). Because I bond strongly with my people, I'm not a &#194&#147set it and forget it&#194&#148 kind of dog. I do best in a home where I won't be left alone for long stretches and where I can be indoors, included, and mentally engaged. Long lonely days in the yard are not my style&#194&#151I'd much rather be by your side. If you have other dogs, a meet and greet is recommended to be sure everyone's play styles and personalities are a good match before I head home. I'm already neutered, microchipped, current on my rabies and basic vaccinations, heartworm negative, and my adoption fee is $125. If you're looking for a loyal, energetic, intelligent companion who's ready for adventures and endless love, I might just be your guy. Apply to adopt me here: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ Approved applicants will be contacted by RAC staff to schedule meet and greets in the order applications are received. Let's see if we're a perfect match!  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX.
