Story
Meet Lola, our beautiful 6-year-old, full-blooded German Shepherd who is looking for a loving new home. She has such a sweet and loyal heart. She’s been part of a family environment and has done wonderfully with children, always gentle and loving. She’s also enjoyed time with her best friend, Alfie (a Great Dane mix), so she’s comfortable around other dogs. Lola is well-trained and knows sit, down, stay, and come—and she will come with her training certificate. She walks incredibly well on a leash and truly enjoys being with her people. She’s affectionate, loyal, and thrives on connection.German Shepherds are incredibly intelligent, loyal, and protective dogs. They form strong bonds with their families and do best in homes where they are included in daily life. They benefit from: Regular exercise (they are active and enjoy walks/play) Mental stimulation (they’re very smart and like to “work” or learn) Consisttent structure and leadership. Time & attention.

Story
Meet Senior, aka Bentley, a sweet 16 year old, 13 pound Yorkie boy being fostered in Rockwall, TX. Only Texas applicants will be considered. ALL COMMITTED INTERESTED PARTIES MUST COMPLETE AN APPLICATION AT WWW.UYR.US ,SO THAT WE CAN CONTACT YOU AND DISCUSS YOUR INTEREST AND THE NEEDS FOR THIS BABY.. Hi everyone. My name is Bentley. UYR gave me a new name of "Senior." I think that means I'm special or I got a promotion or something. I don't suppose it has anything to do with the fact that I was born in 2009 and I'll be 17 in May??? My foster mom thinks I'm pretty spunky for being a Senior. I weigh 11.8 pounds. I've gone to the vet twice. My vaccines are up to date. I got a microchip. I had my teeth cleaned. I had a bump taken off one of my front paws, which foster mom said was benign. I've been having to wear this blue collar thing because of that bump, but I'm looking forward to taking it off soon. My favorite activities are eating, sleeping, wandering around in the yard, and going on several short walks every day. My favorite place to sleep is in mom's dirty clothes basket. Bentley is used to being around young children, as he used to play with his previous owner's grandchildren. He is very friendly with people who come to visit. He has not been around other dogs, and he gets annoyed when we pass another dog on our walks. He is well potty trained. He is a sweet boy who is looking for his furever home.

Story
We originally welcomed Leo into our family when we were living in Indiana, and he made the big move to Texas with us. He is a happy, healthy 6-year-old dog. If I had to describe Leo in a few words, he is friendly, affectionate, adaptable, and a total crowd-pleaser—in fact, every single person who has ever boarded him absolutely falls in love with him!Due to some recent, unexpected changes in our personal lives, we unfortunately no longer have the time to give him the attention and care he truly deserves. We are looking for a loving, attentive new home for Leo where he can get plenty of companionship, playtime, and love.

Story
Meet Rolo! Rolo is an approximately 1 year old Labrador Retriever and Shepherd mix weighing around 60 pounds who is ready to find his forever home. He was found as a stray off King Road in Heath on 07/02/26 and, unfortunately, no one came forward to reclaim him. Now, he is looking for a family to give him the fresh start he deserves. Rolo is a friendly, happy young dog with a constantly wagging tail and an eagerness to make new friends. He has done well meeting other dogs and is beginning to learn how to play appropriately. While he is still figuring things out, he is very interested in interacting with other dogs and has all the enthusiasm you would expect from a young dog. He also does not seem to mind cats. Like many dogs his age, Rolo will benefit from a family that can provide structure, consistency, regular exercise, and continued training. He is intelligent, eager to learn, and ready to become a wonderful companion for a family willing to invest the time in helping him reach his full potential. If you currently have another dog in the home, a meet and greet will be required prior to adoption to help ensure a good fit. Rolo's adoption fee is $125. He is neutered, microchipped, current on his annual vaccinations, and heartworm negative. If you are interested in making Rolo a member of your family, please submit an online adoption application at: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ An approved adoption application is required prior to scheduling a meet and greet or moving forward with adoption.  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense. July 14, 2026, 6:37 pm

Story
Meet Diego! Diego is a handsome 3-year-old Pit Bull mix weighing approximately 60 pounds who is looking for a fresh start and a loving forever home. Diego is a sweet, affectionate boy who loves to cuddle with the people he trusts. He can be a little cautious around some men and will benefit from slow introductions and a patient family willing to let him build confidence at his own pace. He's also still discovering how to play with toys, making it clear he may not have had many opportunities to simply be a dog. Diego is looking for a calm home where he can be the only pet and would do best with children 16 years of age or older. With time, understanding, and consistency, he'll reward his family with unwavering loyalty and companionship. His adoption fee is $125. He is neutered, microchipped, current on his rabies vaccination and basic boosters, and heartworm negative. If you're interested in adopting Diego, please submit an online application at: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ An approved adoption application is required prior to scheduling a meet and greet or moving forward with adoption.  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Story
Hello, my name is Mercury! I am an approximately 18 month old male Lab and Pit Bull mix weighing around 48 pounds who is looking for a loving forever home. I was found off Holden Drive in Rockwall alongside two other dogs believed to be my siblings and was never reclaimed. I am a sweet and gentle boy who can be a little shy when adjusting to new people and environments. New situations can be overwhelming at first, but with patience, kindness, and consistency, I begin to relax and show my affectionate side. Once I trust someone, I enjoy quiet cuddle time and being close to my people. I walk well on a leash and would do best with a family that can provide encouragement and support as I continue to build confidence. I am still learning that new experiences can be positive, and I am looking for someone willing to help me grow at my own pace. I have done well with female dogs. My compatibility with male dogs is currently unknown. If you have another dog in the home, a meet and greet is recommended prior to adoption to ensure we are a good fit for one another. I am neutered, microchipped, current on my rabies vaccination and annual boosters, and I have tested heartworm positive. Thanks to Rockwall PAWS, my heartworm treatment is sponsored, helping ensure I have every opportunity to live a long and healthy life. My adoption fee is $125. If you are interested in giving me the loving home I deserve, please submit an adoption application at: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ An approved application is required prior to scheduling a meet and greet. I look forward to finding a family that will help me leave my past behind and start my next chapter.
