Story
** COURTESY POST ** ** This animal is NOT at the Rowlett Animal Shelter, so please do not inquire with them ** ** For information contact Tracy Johnson; 214-697-7362 ** Meet Scout (aka Muffin. The shelter called her Muffin, but we felt Scout was a better fit. Feel free to re-name her when she is yours). This soft-coated, beautiful dog is being fostered by our son in who is a college student in Waco, but Scout frequently visits us in Rowlett and will be with us most of July. Scout is believed to be an Australian Shepherd mix, approximately 2 years old. She is energetic, smart and loves to cuddle. She is trained to sit & fetch, loves to go on walks and can entertain herself with her toys. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Scout and would love to keep her, however we recommend that Scout goes to a home where she will be the only pet. She LOVES humans, smiles when she sees them, but Scout does not get along with other dogs (of any size) or cats. Our male dog was incompatible with Scout as he can be skittish and aggressive. After getting to know this sweet girl, we are confident she will be an amazing pet for the right person or family. Scout is a true angel with our special needs nephew. Actually, everyone Scout meets falls in love with her, especially the neighborhood kids. She is also great in the car (road trips or running errands) she’s a little doll in public stores. Also, she rarely has an accident in the house and is crate trained. Scout has been spayed. At this time, she is heartworm positive, but scheduled for treatment in Waco on July 17th. We will take care of this expense and will provide heartworm prevention medication for one year. We are committed to finding her a home as the Waco shelter does euthanize and we are not going to allow that to happen. Please contact us if you are interested. We have plenty of videos and pictures to share.September 30, 2023, 12:39 am
