Story
Meet Maizy! She came to the shelter as an owner surrender and is 6 years old. She has been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped.Maizy is the whole package; she's the type of dog who greets every day like it’s her best one yet, tail wagging and eyes shining, ready for fun and affection. She adores spending time with people and thrives on being part of the action. Whether you’re heading out for an adventure or just relaxing on the couch, she’ll be right there beside you. She’s a total cuddle bug who loves belly rubs and gentle pets, and she’ll happily lean into you for hugs like you’re her favorite person in the world. She also enjoys the company of other dogs and would love a canine playmate who can match her friendly, goofy energy. However, Maizy isn’t a fan of cats and would do best in a home without them (she promises to make up for it with extra love and kisses!)If you'd like to be Maizy's furever home you can call us at (540) 778-2101 or email petfinder@pagecounty.virginia.gov or animalshelter@pagecounty.virginia.gov.

Story
Meet Buddy! He arrived to the shelter as a surrender and is 6 years old. He has been neutered.Buddy is the kind of dog who fills a room with personality the moment he walks in. This lovable, goofy guy absolutely adores his people and thrives on being part of whatever you’re doing. If you’re moving from room to room, expect Buddy to be right behind you, happily playing the role of your loyal shadow. He’s incredibly affectionate and never passes up a chance to curl up beside you for some quality cuddles. Playtime is Buddy’s favorite time, and he could chase a ball all day without getting tired. Fetch isn’t just a game to him—it’s his passion. If you’re looking for a fun loving companion who will keep you active and entertained, Buddy is your guy. Buddy would do best as the only pet in the home, as he isn’t comfortable around other animals or children. But what he lacks in social circles, he more than makes up for in devotion. If you'd like to be Buddy's furever home you can call (540) 778-2101 or email animalshelter@pagcounty.virginia.gov.

Story
Meet Junior! He arrived to the shelter as an owner surrender and is 1 year old. He has been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Junior is a doggy with a big heart and even bigger energy to match. Like many dogs his age, he’s full of enthusiasm and always ready for his next adventure; whether that’s a long walk, playtime, or just exploring the world by your side. He loves people and thrives on attention, often seeking out affection and companionship whenever he can. Junior has also lived with other dogs before, showing that he has the potential to be a great addition to a multi-dog household with the right introductions. The shelter environment can be overwhelming for a high energy, social dog like Junior. With all the noise and limited space to run, he doesn’t always get the chance to show his best self. As a younger dog, Junior is eager to learn and will benefit from continued training and structure. If you'd like to meet Junior you can email animalshelter@pagecounty.virginia.gov or call (540) 778-2101.

Story
Meet Bronco! He arrived at the shelter as a stray and he is about 3 years old. He has been neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated.Bronco is a quiet soul with a gentle heart. He arrived at the shelter unsure of the world around him and is still learning what it means to feel safe. At first, he can be shy and reserved, taking his time to observe and understand new people and situations. But beneath that cautious exterior is a deeply sweet dog who just needs a little patience and kindness to truly shine. The shelter environment can be overwhelming for Bronco. He much prefers the calm of being outside, where he can relax and enjoy the company of his people at his own pace. Those quiet moments are when you start to see the real Bronco; the one who leans in gently and is learning to trust. He’s still figuring out how to just 'be a dog'—learning how to play, how to let his guard down, and how to embrace the simple joys of life. With a patient and loving home, he has all the potential to blossom into a loyal, affectionate companion. If you'd like to be Bronco's furever home you can call (540) 778-2101 or email animalshelter@pagecounty.virginia.gov.
