We adopted pepper about two years ago while looking for a companion for our other dog, and Pepper has gotten along great with her and the cats in the house-- but each time her schedule gets interrupted, she attacks the chicken pen, and this is deeply unfair to the chickens. Pepper is a very smart dog who would be great for someone who wants a jogging, walking, or hiking buddy, but also will lounge on a couch with you all day when you're done. She has been doing agility for a year and wants nothing more than to be in the air conditioning when it's hot out. If she has a yard it must be well enclosed or she will Explore. Affectionate with kids and cats, and complains if the cats don't like her back. She had heartworms as a puppy and so must remain on heartworm medicine! Her remaining year of medicine will come with her to her new home, along with her stuffed toy, puzzle feeder, and a bed.
