She’s partially blind in one eye, but it doesn’t slow her down or dampen her spirit one bit. She’s house-trained, crate-trained, and knows how to sit. Barbie walks nicely on a leash using either a prong collar or a martingale. She’s great with dogs, kids, and cats, and does wonderfully being left home alone while you’re at work—no destruction, no drama. Barbie enjoys a calm lifestyle and prefers being near her people. She’ll fetch a ball a little, but toys aren’t really her thing. What is her thing? Snuggling in bed and keeping you company. She has no allergies, isn’t picky about food, and takes treats very gently. While she’s not a fan of baths, she’s patient and cooperative for nail trims. This mom was brought in with her babies as strays. She is a sweet girl who does well with other pups and people. She has plenty of energy to go wherever her family goes. She might be house trained but does use a dog door. She has been on a leash and has done okay. She will be learning more of that and some commands. She is a great girl although a bit rough around the edges. She will be terrific for any family and is ready to head out! She is located in Tennessee but can be transported through Rescue Riders.

Story

Coco is a playful, energetic, people-loving girl who enjoys being close to her humans. She’s smart, affectionate, and eager to engage with her family. She would be great with a jogging or hiking buddy! Coco jumps when excited, so she’d do best with older kids and an active home. She may show a submissive grin when meeting people or getting excited — an appeasement behavior that responds well to calm handling. Coco loves boisterous play with other dogs and would do well with a canine companion who enjoys active play. She will bark at and chase cats (not aggressively), so she would do best in a home without cats. CoCo weighs approximately 45-50 pounds and is approximately 9 months old. She was turned in to our rescue as a neighborhood stray several months ago and has since been spayed and up to date on vaccines. She is HW negative and is on heartworm prevention. If you would like to adopt CoCo, please message us and I will put you in contact with her foster mom. She can send you an adoption application! Coco is being fostered in MS but included in your adoption fee is transport to a location near you by Rescue Riders Pet Transport, the most animal friendly transport on the road!
