Story
My wife and I recently had our first child and, unfortunately, our good boy Spud does not get the same attention that he used to. He’s a very energetic and loving dog that deserves a home that can give him more consistent exercise and attention. Spud is not great with other dogs, but he makes an awesome companion. He is neutered, house trained and loves to cuddle. Please feel free to reach out with any questions!

Story
I got Remy from my niece who bought Remy and her sister in NC for a friend in VA. My niece kept her sister for herself. After bringing Remy and her sister to VA the friend backed out of taking Remy and my niece could not house her so my wife and I brought Remy home so she would not end up in a shelter. She has been crate-trained and is housebroken. Remy is 7 months old and loved very much. However, my wife and I just recently divorced and I recently lost my job and in the process of starting over. I have not been able to find adequate housing that would allow pets and much less Remy's breed. I do not have any background on Remy's parents, and due to financial difficulties have only been able to get her first round of vaccines (documents are available). Remy loves attention, playing in the back yard, and is full of energy 24/7. She eats twice a day (purina one instinct) and not fed any table food. She needs a home where she can play, have fun, and gets lots of love.

Story
Meet Piper! 🐾 Piper is a 45-pound fawn and white pitbull mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Estimated to be around 5 years old, she’s the perfect blend of playful energy and cuddle-loving charm. Piper loves bouncing around outside, enjoying fresh air and fun, then winding down with her favorite thing—snuggling up with her people. She’s looking for her forever home with someone who’s ready to give her the love she deserves and receive plenty of affection in return. Piper is ready to be your loyal, happy companion! Piper is very sweet with her cute little underbite and smooshy face. My senior pit doesn't like her and I don't want any fights breaking out.

5 to 6 month old miniature black lab pug mix, he is very friendly, loves to play with anyone, loves his toys and bones. He will be your shadow! He is quiet, never barks unless playing with other dogs. Has never shown aggression towards anyone or any animals. He is really just a little love bug. He is missing left ear flap but doesn’t affect him or his hearing. I’m unaware what happened with the ear flap. He needs a new home as I have to leave town to care for ill parent immediately. Please open your home to this little guy! Comes with food, toys, leashes, collar, harness, beds if you would like it all!. $0 rehoming fee

Story
Bunny B is an almost 6-year-old, 70-pound girl with a strong presence and a thoughtful heart. She came to the shelter after being seized and surrendered along with many other dogs due to improper care, a situation that asked far too much of her and shaped the way she approaches the world today. Because of that past, Bunny B is observant and selective with her trust. She takes time to warm up to new people and situations and does best when allowed to move at her own pace. She is not chaotic or unpredictable — she simply needs clarity, consistency, and respect. Once she feels secure, Bunny B is affectionate, loyal, and deeply connected to her people. She enjoys being involved in daily routines and wants to feel like part of a stable, dependable home. Bunny B thrives in an active but low-key environment where expectations are clear and her boundaries are understood. She can be selective with other dogs and will need slow, thoughtful introductions. Based on what we’ve observed, a home without cats will be the best fit for her. Bunny B is a powerful, intelligent dog with a sensitive heart. She is looking for adopters who understand that trust is built through patience and kept through consistency. For the right home, Bunny B will be a deeply rewarding companion — steady, loyal, and all heart. Bunny B is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines, including rabies. She’s also been dewormed and started on flea/tick prevention. To apply for adoption or foster, please copy and paste the following link: https://orangecountyva.gov/158/Animal-Shelter
