Story
Coco aka Jessie is a 28 lbs 3-4 yr old spayed female mix breed who is in Warrenton, VA and ready for adoption. She is vaccinated, microchipped and has been fully treated for heartworm. She will have no issues going forward and is looking for a life full of adventures and snuggles. This is a prime example of the medium energy type dog we reference on our application. While she definitely enjoys walks and playtime outside she is very settled in the home and loves to snuggle with you in bed. She is good on a leash and loves to ride in the truck. Cat tested well and currently fostered with a ton of dogs. She is definitely a leader type so not likely well suited to a home with a boss female already in residence but otherwise is definitely dog friendly. No problem with kids she is respectful and doesn’t jump on people. Application can be found here- https://linktr.ee/hailmaryrescue1?utm_source=linktree_profile_share&ltsid=e19407ae-0c4e-45ac-9860-80c9da3d38a8

Story
Is Valentine’s Day not your deal? Wanna skip the whole dang month of February and get right to the good stuff? Are you looking for a friendly and outgoing new friend to celebrate with? Jordan could be your man! This guy is rocking the Saint Paddy vibes with his new collar and we can definitely see this social guy enjoying outdoor bars and restaurants. He is around 3 yrs old, 60 lbs and is most likely a Bully mix. He is very friendly, the type of guy that’s never met a stranger. Walks into new environments like he owns them. Has been fostered with other dogs as well as cats. He is a wonderful blend of play and chill and while he does need to polish up his leash skills he is definitely a type that won’t mind you going to work after a walk, just leave the TV on for him. Housebroken, crates well and is fully vetted. #hmrjordan in Warrenton, VA. But transport available. https://form.jotform.com/hailmaryrescue/hail-mary-rescue-adoption-applicati

Story
Meet Humble! She’s a sweet, gentle soul with a heart as big as her dreams. This young, approximately 2-year-old terrier mix has already conquered so much more than most pups her age. She arrived in February, abandoned but brave, after caring for her four precious puppies. With her babies now safe in loving forever homes, Humble is hoping it’s her turn for a happily ever after. She’s been spayed, microchipped, and is up to date on her vaccinations and preventatives, and fully ready to give her love to a new family. Weighing in at about 35 pounds, Humble is truly one of a kind, with delightfully unique features (and fabulous lashes!) that will melt your heart . She’s the perfect candidate for a doggy DNA test! She adores making new canine friends, is unbothered by feline companions, and is housebroken. Humble walks beautifully on a leash and brings an instant smile to everyone she meets. Her joyful presence lights up every room. If you’re ready to add a little extra sunshine to your life, come meet Humble at the shelter any day except Wednesdays, from 12:00 to 4:00. She can’t wait to meet you and start a new chapter together!

Story
Bunny is the self-proclaimed president of the `Sniff and Zoomies Club` and loves making friends with other dogs. She`s voted Most Likely to Wag Her Whole Body at first sight. She’s even been known to petition for feline friendships, though her excitement is best handled by a cat with knowledge in dog-wrangling. She’d thrive in an active home that continues her training (bonus points if you have a stash of squeaky toys) and would be a fantastic playmate for kids, especially if there`s a fenced backyard for impromptu squirrel surveillance and tug-of-war marathons. Bunny came to us in November of 2025 and is spayed, microchipped, up to date on her vaccinations and preventatives, and ready to bring laughter, love, and the occasional muddy paw print into your life. Ready to add this hilarious bundle of joy to your world? Ask to meet Bunny Burkett today!

Meet Slacky! This blue-eyed, 7/8-year-old boy still has a lot of love to give. Not only is he adorable, but he is also very chill, easy on the leash, listens well, and treat-motivated. He is fine with cats but would do best as the only dog in the home. He loves toys and fluffy blankets which he will curl up in. If you think you might be his fur-ever home - come by to meet him!
