Our sweet and beautiful Farrah is still waiting for her furever home. In Warrenton Virginia but can be transported. #hmrfarrah She is dog friendly, cat friendly and good around all humans. She is around 20 pounds and estimated to be 3 yrs old. The perfect blend of play and chill she isn’t high maintenance, just wants love and some soft beds. She is one of 4 we took in a few months ago and the others have all settled into homes beautifully. Story

Zany has been hanging out with the rescue for awhile now, she has been treated for heartworms and now tests negative. We havent done DNA on her but the Cattledog/Pitty cross is the most common breed mix to come out of the south and she has the looks and personality like most of them. She is very smart and loyal, easy to train, but quick to tell you she forgot.... She is dog friendly and will easily be submissive or dominant depending on her situation. We use her quite a bit in dog testing and when we are working on dogs with guarding issues as she listens well and wont fight. She does have a good bit of herding drive and will chase horses, cattle and cats. She is extremely human friendly and enjoys meeting anyone and everyone. She is appropriately 5 yrs old and a chunky 70 pounds, she could afford to loose some weight.

Story

We are looking for a special home for Pippa, a long term foster home would be great. Pippa is a 4 yr old pure bred French Bulldog originally from Poland. She is spayed, vaccinated and on monthly preventative. She weighs around 32 pounds, but is a small dog just a tank. She has a genetic heart condition like many Frenchies but requires no medication, and has no abnormal lifestyle restrictions beyond the breed’s usual. She has worn off all of her teeth, but has no issue eating dry kibble and she LOVES to chew on hard style toys and bones. She is also an attention loving girl and if she feels she is being ignored her method of getting your attention is to pee in the house. This is absolutely intentional and once given attention will resume her regular very well housebroken status. She crates quietly at night and as needed during the day. She is fantastic riding in a car and she is absolutely fantastic when out in public. She has been extremely friendly and social to everyone she has met. She is great with kids, but to keep her from feeling neglected we would like kids to be 10 or up if any in a home. While she is not dog aggressive she is a brat. She likes to hoard her toys and make sure no one is getting something better than her in her food bowl. While she can live with other dogs home as an only dog would suit her best. Her ideal home would be with someone retired that is looking for a fun companion. She doesn’t need a ton of walking and we think could be trained to use potty pads or an indoor bathroom for dogs if desired. She is not a barker and would do fine in an apartment setting. We would love to of course find her a permanent adopter but if you feel you could be a good fit but worry about the potential medical expenses please reach out, as a long term foster home would be appreciated by us and Pippa. She is a super fun dog and is honestly absolutely fantastic with a few quirks. Charlie is a 3yr old personality filled, affectionate, playful, energetic, goofy, people & comfort loving Olde English. He has trouble with other dogs around his owners, but previous trainers and his current boarding trainer successfully integrate him with small groups in a short time. He’s also been professionally trained to respond to a mini Educator ecollar. We do particularly well in the home and around guests, given he loves attention and new people friends. However, if there is visible prey (squirrel/rabbit/salamander) or we are too near another dog, our response to e-stim becomes extremely limited. This level of intensity applies to specific but randomly categorized objects in the home as well. While some traits like his prey drive, are innate, the history that undoubtedly contributes to his behaviors is complex and not at all his fault. Despite our love and connection, our home is expecting a child and anticipate many objects introducing similar triggers.
