Story
Lola has had 2 homes in her 7 yr life, both were with retired ladies and both times she had to be rehomed after they were no longer able to keep her in their homes. She is adjusting to being in a foster home again and we are hoping her next home can be her last. She is 10 lbs and a leggy girl. Good with dogs and cats and mature kids should be fine, not sure we would recommend her for a home with young kids. She leash walks fine and has lived in an apartment but we are sure she would love a fenced in yard as well. Located in Warrenton, VA

Story
Meet Snow Some dogs come into rescue carrying the weight of an uncertain past. Others arrive and immediately remind us why we never give up on them. Snow is one of those dogs. At just 2 years old and 80 pounds, this handsome German Shepherd has proven time and time again that he is ready for a family of his own. Despite whatever life may have thrown his way before rescue, Snow greets each day with a wagging tail, a happy spirit, and a heart full of love. His foster family describes him as an absolute model citizen. Whether he's meeting new people, accompanying them on outings, riding in the car, or simply relaxing at home, Snow takes everything in stride. He has visited numerous public places and continues to impress everyone he meets with his friendly and outgoing personality. Snow isn't looking for perfectionhe's simply looking for someone willing to give him a chance. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, housebroken, crate trained, and easy to groom. He rides beautifully in the car, knows his sit command, has a solid recall, and is not a digger or excessive barker. He has shown no dog aggression or leash reactivity and has lived peacefully around cats. With a front-clip harness, he is a wonderful walking companion. What Snow needs most is a family experienced with German Shepherds who will provide structure, routine, and the patience to help him continue building confidence as he settles into his forever home. Every night, Snow lays down to sleep without knowing if tomorrow will be the day someone chooses him. Every day, he waits patiently for the family who will see beyond the rescue label and recognize the incredible dog standing right in front of them. Could that family be yours? Story
Alright everyone! 👉Hope needs YOU! 👈 Hope #hmrhope has had a heck of a journey in her life and she has one more stop, and it’s the most important. 🏡She needs a furever home. 🏡 Hope is around 2 yrs old and 40 pounds. She is a very mixed breed dog with her top two breeds being American Pit Bull Terrier and German Shepard (we can send DNA report to interested adopters). Currently in Warrenton, VA she can be transported. She has been in 3 foster homes while with HMR and has proven to be fantastic with other dogs (her favorite playmates are #hmrabbey and alumni Reign) she is fine around cats and has lived with kids. She walks well on a leash and enjoys car rides. She is very housebroken and is trustworthy left out of a crate day or night, she also crates well and in her foster homes she has had an open crate as an option to go in. She will do best in a home with a fenced in yard and a canine playmate. She isn’t a natural social butterfly so not well suited to a home where she will be expected to go to dog parks or lots of public outings. She does however ride very well in a vehicle so would definitely enjoy trips and rides for pup cups. As she gets settled into a real home and gains more confidence she will likely change and we can see her enjoying quieter outings in the future. Hope has been treated for heartworm as well as having a front leg amputation. She is spayed, chipped and vaccinated. All she is missing is a loving home. Please share her post! For more info you can find her on Petfinder with the link below or you can click her hashtag. https://linktr.ee/hailmaryrescue1?utm_source=linktree_profile_share&ltsid=e19407ae-0c4e-45ac-9860-80c9da3d38a8

Story
Are you looking for a dog that’s looking for fun? Zipper is a black shepherd mix that is outgoing and energetic and will be best suited to a home with the ability to give lots of exercise and attention. She is dog friendly and not cat aggressive but with her energy level other dogs will need to be up for the action and cats will need to be used to dogs and have the ability to access a dog free zone. Zipper is very athletic and would love a home where she can do activities such as agility or dock diving in addition to regular exercise. A smart and trainable dog she will bond quickly and always be motivated to give you her best. Zipper is vetted, heartworm negative and received a Proheart6 shot this spring.
