Story
Alright everyone! 👉Hope needs YOU! 👈 Hope #hmrhope has had a heck of a journey in her life and she has one more stop, and it’s the most important. 🏡She needs a furever home. 🏡 Hope is around 2 yrs old and 40 pounds. She is a very mixed breed dog with her top two breeds being American Pit Bull Terrier and German Shepard (we can send DNA report to interested adopters). Currently in Warrenton, VA she can be transported. She has been in 3 foster homes while with HMR and has proven to be fantastic with other dogs (her favorite playmates are #hmrabbey and alumni Reign) she is fine around cats and has lived with kids. She walks well on a leash and enjoys car rides. She is very housebroken and is trustworthy left out of a crate day or night, she also crates well and in her foster homes she has had an open crate as an option to go in. She will do best in a home with a fenced in yard and a canine playmate. She isn’t a natural social butterfly so not well suited to a home where she will be expected to go to dog parks or lots of public outings. She does however ride very well in a vehicle so would definitely enjoy trips and rides for pup cups. As she gets settled into a real home and gains more confidence she will likely change and we can see her enjoying quieter outings in the future. Hope has been treated for heartworm as well as having a front leg amputation. She is spayed, chipped and vaccinated. All she is missing is a loving home. Please share her post! For more info you can find her on Petfinder with the link below or you can click her hashtag. https://linktr.ee/hailmaryrescue1?utm_source=linktree_profile_share&ltsid=e19407ae-0c4e-45ac-9860-80c9da3d38a8

Stevie is a lovely example of a super mutt. He is kind and gentle but adores a good game of fetch. He is easy on a leash and has some basics under his belt it seems. He is dog friendly and enjoys playing in the yard with his friends. He kennels quietly and is pleasant to have around A young dog that would suit a wide variety of homes, he is smart and go with the flow type. 1-2 yrs old and 75 lbs He is heartworm positive and has stsrted treatment which will be covrered.by rescue

Story
Shadow was placed in a home about 5 yrs ago. Unfortunately, her owner needs to relocate and is unable to take her along. No negative comments, life happens. Shadow is around 7 yrs old and 20 pounds. She was originally a feral dog and while she has come very far she isn’t going to be a social butterfly with everyone and adopters will need to be mindful of giving her time to get to know them. She is up to date on her vaccinations and of course spayed. She enjoys an open door on her crate during the day so she can come and go. At night her crate is shut. She walks well on a leash and while dog friendly isn’t a huge fan of playing with others unless it’s her huge collection of stuffies. Shadow is still living with her adopter but will likely be moving back to her original foster near Warrenton, VA. Story
Tucker is a very handsome and loyal dog. Our family absolutely loves him, but unfortunately, his instincts and prey drive have made it not possible to keep him. We have two cats and he can no longer live with them. We have five children in the house, and he has always been absolutely wonderful with them, however, he is nervous with new people that he doesn’t know. He does warm up quickly, but a new person does need to take it slow. He has been trained to heal, come, sit, and lay down. He is extremely athletic, but doesn’t require a lot of exercise. We have another dog that he gets along with very well, I just don’t know how he would get along with other dogs. It is possible that he would be fine.
