Story

Saber is a loving boy who enjoys walks, running and chewing his toys. He leads and active life-style with daily walks and would need a home where he could exercise regularly. He is tough on toys and destroys them pretty quickly. He needs extra tough chew toys. His favorite toy is a Kong Marvin the Moose, which he sucks on to comfort himself. He's lived with his brother until recently but still sees him often. Saber needs to be the only dog. He likes and does not chase cats. He just does not like other animals around his food. He knows all basic commands and is house broken. Saber would be most comfortable in a home with no children and relatively quiet. He doesn't react well to overstimualtion and nipped at people and sometimes growls.

Sasha has overcome an incredibly difficult past, arriving at PAWS severely underweight and suffering from significant hair loss. Despite everything she endured, her spirit still shines bright. She absolutely adores people and greets everyone with full-body wiggles, a happy tail, and endless enthusiasm. Like many enthusiastic dogs, Sasha is still learning how to manage her excitement. She can jump up during greetings, get all up in your face, and give off a bad first impression on her training skills. She also plays rough, sometimes accidentally nipping fingers or body slamming when she's having fun. There's never any ill intent, she simply gets carried away. She has made incredible progress with consistent redirection and structured play-and-train sessions and is eager to keep learning!Sasha is an active, intelligent girl who loves having a job to do. She knows many of her basic cues through both verbal commands and hand signals, enjoys learning new things, and has recently discovered a love for agility. Whether it's training, enrichment, or an outdoor adventure, Sasha thrives when both her body and mind stay busy.Sasha would do best in a home with older children who understand dog behavior and can help continue her training. She has learned to ignore cats while out on walks, though living with one may require slow introductions. Story

Bear is the newest addition to our PAWS family. While he’s still getting to know us and settling into his new routine, he’s already fitting in wonderfully. One thing we’ve learned very quickly? Bear absolutely loves love! He’s a big cuddle bug who is happiest when he’s getting attention and spending time with his people.Bear is still learning the proper ways to ask for attention and can get a little jumpy when he’s excited, but he’s picking up new skills quickly. He has already mastered "sit" and working hard on the rest of his manners. He’s a smart boy who seems eager to learn and please. Bear previously lived in a home with a young toddler and reportedly did very well with children. As with any dog, we always recommend teaching children how to interact respectfully with dogs and supervising their interactions to help everyone have a safe and positive relationship.Bear has reportedly done well with other dogs, and so far, we haven’t seen anything that would make us question that. He’s curious and interested when he sees the other dogs here at PAWS, although we haven’t introduced him to any play sessions just yet. We’re looking forward to learning more about his social skills as he settles in.Bear has never been around cats. Because of this, any introduction to cats would need to be slow, thoughtful, and patient. We’re happy to provide resources to help his future family learn the best way to make those introductions successful.Bear is still very new to us, but he’s already showing us what a sweet, affectionate, and eager-to-learn guy he can be. We can’t wait to see what else we discover about this lovable boy as he continues settling in!Please Note: Bear is not quite ready for adoption yet, but we are beginning to host meet-and-greets with interested adopters.
