Story
If you’ve ever wished for a dog who’s equal parts brains, beauty, and big-hearted love - say hello to ALPINE!Alpine is a 1.5-year-old girl with a truly unique mix: German Shepherd Dog (28.6%), Mastiff (24.3%), Supermutt (20.9%), Rottweiler (14.8%), and Border Collie (11.4%). Despite all that impressive math, she is 100% GOOD GIRL!This sweet girl is incredibly affectionate and thrives on human connection. She’s the kind of dog who wants to be near her people, soaking up love and giving it right back with happy wiggles and soulful looks. Alpine is also super smart - she picks things up quickly and would absolutely shine with continued training and enrichment! Her favorite activity in the entire world? FETCH. Alpine loves loves LOVES chasing a ball and would happily trade just about anything for a game of fetch with her favorite human - any day, any time. She’ll play again… and again… and again. Because of her energy level and love for interactive play, Alpine will do best in an active home that can provide regular exercise, mental stimulation, and plenty of time for play and engagement!Alpine came to WCAS as a stray, so we don’t know much about her past. What we do know is that she prefers her canine friends to be well-socialized and respectful. Because Alpine can be selective with other dogs, a meet-and-greet with any resident dogs will be required prior to adoption.Alpine is spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and current on flea/tick & heartworm preventatives - all ready to go home!If you’re ready for a devoted companion with a playful spirit and a heart of gold, Alpine is ready to meet you! Please fill out an adoption application on our website - for any additional information or questions, please contact the shelter at wausharacoanimalshelter@gmail.com or (920) 279-9795.

Story
We`re pretty sure JUICE has never had a single serious thought in his entire life... and we respect that!At just 1.5-years-old, this Siberian Husky/mix is the total package - drop-dead gorgeous AND ridiculously fun. With his bright white coat and those piercing ice-blue eyes, Juice looks like he walked straight out of a snowstorm… but don’t let the model looks fool you - this boy is all about having a good time!Juice is the definition of goofy, lovable chaos (in the best way)! He’s got zoomies down to a science and fully believes every moment is an opportunity for fun. Whether you’re outside, inside, or just existing… Juice is like, “Cool, what are we doing and how can I be part of it?” He’s not a velcro dog, but he is incredibly curious and wants to be involved in whatever’s going on. Think: your enthusiastic sidekick who occasionally turns life into a comedy show.Juice would thrive in a home that can embrace his playful energy, keep him mentally and physically engaged, and appreciate his silly, larger-than-life personality. Juice may do well in a home with other animals as long as proper, slow introductions are performed! He is neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and current on flea/tick & heartworm preventatives. If you’re looking for a dog who will make you laugh daily, keep you on your toes, and look stunning while doing it… Juice is ready to bring the party (and the zoomies) home with you! Story
Frannie is a compact cutie looking for her new family! This girl is about 2 years old and is all about the FUN. Toys, games, walks, runs, you name it, she`s up for it. We think she`d love agility or maybe scent work - anything that keeps her brain and body busy. Frannie can be cautious and leery of new people so a home without a lot of people coming and going would be ideal for her. Frannie would do best with a confident and patient person who is able to help her thrive. She is an amazing, sweet girl and is well worth it. More about Frannie:- 2 years old (estimated); 43 pounds- Active and playful but also snuggly once she gets comfortable-Frannie is dog social but may be best as the only dog in the home because of how intense and pushy she can be with other dogs. She would be best as a `playmate` not a `roomate` and needs to have supervised playtime- Not suggested for a home with cats. She will chase - Suggested for children around teenage and up due to exuberance, active playstyle, excitable jumping, initial caution with new people. - Spayed, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. Please note dog visits are by appointment to ensure staff and space availability so we can make the best match possible. Interested in meeting this dog? The first step is to fill out an adoption application on our website at: https://www.oahs.org/dog-adoption-process/ . Questions? E-mail dog@oahs.org or call (920) 424-2128 ext 108.

Story
Flash is a sweet, timid boy who came in with his brother, Chocolate. They both came from a home with a lot of other dogs and they haven`t seem to have had much socialization with people and places, so they are very timid and cautious with new people at first. But given time and patience their personality really comes out! Flash is the more quiet of the two! He just likes to be by his favorite people and get pets and attention. He also enjoys the occasional morsel of tasty treats. Flash would do best with somebody who is home a lot and would have the time and patience he needs to acclimate comfortably into a new home. Because Flash is so nervous with new people, he may require multiple meets prior to adoption. More about Flash:More about Flash:- 5 years old, 19 pounds- Sweet and friendly once he gets comfortable but will be timid and cautious with new people at first (may require more than one meet with new people to get comfortable) He loves to play & snuggle in bed. Very affectionate & loyal to his person- Enjoys pets, attention and treats.- Best suited for a quiet home without a lot of people coming and going-He needs a patient owner who will give him time & space to acclimate, as It can take him a long time to feel comfortable in new spaces.- Suggested for homes with adults only or children in their teen years- Lived with other dogs in previous home. May get overwhelmed by overly playful dog - seems like a peaceful co-exister-Not suitable for apartment complexes or multi-unit housing as he will sometimes bark when left alone- Neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinationsPlease note dog visits are by appointment to ensure staff and space availability so we can make the best match possible.
