If you’ve ever wished for a dog who’s equal parts brains, beauty, and big-hearted love - say hello to ALPINE!Alpine is a 2.5-year-old girl with a truly unique mix: German Shepherd Dog (28.6%), Mastiff (24.3%), Supermutt (20.9%), Rottweiler (14.8%), and Border Collie (11.4%). Despite all that impressive math, she is 100% GOOD GIRL!Alpine is incredibly affectionate and thrives on connection with her people. Once she knows you, she is devoted, loving, goofy, and always ready to be part of whatever you’re doing. Did we mention she is WICKED smart?! Alpine has awesome basic obedience and has come an incredibly long way during her time with us. She knows her stuff - but just like any smart dog, those skills need to actually be USED! Alpine is looking for someone committed to continuing her growth through consistency, structure, repetition, and ongoing training. She doesn’t need someone to start from scratch; she needs someone willing to keep building on the fantastic foundation she already has.Her favorite thing in the entire world? STUFFIES. Alpine is absolutely obsessed with stuffed toys and carries them around proudly like prized possessions. Toss one for her, let her parade it around, or give her a basket to choose from, and she’ll be in heaven! She’s playful, energetic, and would thrive with someone who enjoys keeping both her brain and her body busy.One thing about Alpine’s future home is non-negotiable: she needs to be the ONLY pet in the home. While Alpine can coexist and enjoy time with well-socialized doggy friends when interactions are appropriately managed by an experienced eye, she is not a dog who should permanently share her home with another animal. Being an only pet gives Alpine the environment, structure, and individual attention she needs to be her best self.Alpine came to WCAS as a stray, so we’ll never know every detail of the life she had before us. What we do know is how much she has grown while she’s been here.
