Story
Sadie is such a wonderful loving dog. Life has thrown me a curveball and unfortunately I’m not able to take Ms. Sadie with me where I’m moving to. She is exceptionally loving and great with kids. Thrives in an only dog in the home situation. She will get along with other dogs in short spans, just jealous so I prefer her to be by herself.

Looking for a daily dose of happiness? SPRINKLES is here to deliver it - with a side of cuteness overload! This almost 4-year-old cutie is quite the mix of dog! Sprinkles` previous owners completed an Embark test which revealed he is... Jack Russel Terrier (27%), Bichon Frise (14.6%), Australian Cattle Dog (13.5%), Border Collie (12.5%), German Shepherd (5.3%), Pomeranian (5%), American Pit Bull Terrier (3.8%), and Supermutt (18.3%). No matter his mix, Sprinkles is 100% sweet, spunky, and absolutely unforgettable. One look at that little underbite and you’ll be head over heels - it’s his signature charm!Sprinkles may be small, but he’s full of personality. He’s the kind of pup who can turn an ordinary day into an adventure with his silly antics, happy zoomies, and heart-melting cuddles. Whether he’s making you laugh or curling up in your lap, he’s guaranteed to sprinkle joy everywhere he goes.Sprinkles can be a bit picky about his canine friends, so a meet-and-greet with any resident dogs is a must before adoption. He’s neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and current on preventatives - all ready to go home!If you’re ready for a one-of-a-kind companion who’s cute, quirky, and full of love, apply today at wausharacoanimalshelter.com! Story
If you’ve ever wished for a dog who’s equal parts brains, beauty, and big-hearted love - say hello to ALPINE!Alpine is a 1.5-year-old girl with a truly unique mix: German Shepherd Dog (28.6%), Mastiff (24.3%), Supermutt (20.9%), Rottweiler (14.8%), and Border Collie (11.4%). Despite all that impressive math, she is 100% GOOD GIRL!This sweet girl is incredibly affectionate and thrives on human connection. She’s the kind of dog who wants to be near her people, soaking up love and giving it right back with happy wiggles and soulful looks. Alpine is also super smart - she picks things up quickly and would absolutely shine with continued training and enrichment! Her favorite activity in the entire world? FETCH. Alpine loves loves LOVES chasing a ball and would happily trade just about anything for a game of fetch with her favorite human - any day, any time. She’ll play again… and again… and again.Alpine came to WCAS as a stray, so we don’t know much about her past. What we do know is that she prefers her canine friends to be well-socialized and respectful. Because Alpine can be selective with other dogs, a meet-and-greet with any resident dogs will be required prior to adoption.Alpine is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and current on preventatives - all ready to go home!If you’re ready for a devoted companion with a playful spirit and a heart of gold, Alpine is ready to meet you! Story
*NOTICE - BREED EXPERIENCE STRONGLY PREFERED*Rufus will thrive in a home that truly understands the Eskie way - someone patient, consistent, and appreciative of his intelligence, sensitivity, and spirited personality. Ideal adopters are those with prior American Eskimo experience. If you’re not already familiar with the breed, we strongly encourage doing some research to ensure Rufus’ needs and quirks are a great match for your home. Rufus would do best as the only pet in an adult-only home.Do you appreciate a dog with opinions - and the confidence to share them? Meet RUFUS!With his snowy white coat, expressive eyes, and a personality as big as his fluff, Rufus is impossible not to notice. This 4-year-old Eskimo is the kind of dog who seems to glow - equal parts charm, smarts, and mischief wrapped up in one irresistibly fuzzy package. Beneath all that fluff is a heart full of loyalty and love, just waiting for the right person to see him for who he truly is!As anyone familiar with the breed knows, American Eskimos are smart, opinionated, and sensitive. Rufus fits the bill perfectly! He’s an incredibly loving dog once he trusts you, but in typical Eskimo fashion, he’ll politely let you know when he’s “over it.” It’s all part of his big personality, and it’s exactly what makes him so endearing.Rufus is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and given a flea and tick preventative as well as a heartworm preventive. If you’re ready to open your home to a dog with beauty, brains, and a one-of-a-kind personality, this fluffy charmer is ready to show you just how wonderful life can be with an Eskie by your side. Story
Ready to be dazzled? ZORRO is here to steal hearts and maybe your socks, too!Meet Zorro! This 2-year-old American Bulldog mix is 55 pounds of love, silliness, and dramatic flair. Don’t let the tough-sounding name fool you - Zorro is a total marshmallow who’s more about kisses than crime-fighting. She’s got the zoomies of a superhero and the snuggle skills of a professional napper.Zorro arrived at the shelter as a stray, so her past is a bit of a mystery. What we do know is that she’s been a total delight since day one. She’s sweet, outgoing, and always ready for a new adventure (bonus points if it involves snacks). Zorro is a high-energy girl who would thrive in an active home - one that can keep up with her playful spirit and ideally has a fenced yard for her to romp around in.While she would do best in a home without cats, Zorro has shown positive interest in other dogs and may enjoy a canine companion - as long as slow, proper introductions are part of the plan.Zorro is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and given a flea and tick preventative as well as a heartworm preventive.Think your home needs a little more zoom, sass, and snuggle? Zorro’s your girl! Please fill out an adoption application on our website or get in touch with us at (920) 279-9795 or wausharacoanimalshelter@gmail.com!
