Story
This adorable little fella is Vortex. He is one-year-old and weighs 28 lb. We believe he has some dachshund in him. Whatever his breed mix, he is 100% cute! Vortex is a shy, but gentle dog who would benefit from an experienced owner. Vortex loves to explore and sniff around outside and is happy to just sit next to you and soak in the sun. He is not overly affectionate and does take some time to warm up, but he is well worth it. Vortex will appreciate a quieter lifestyle and people he can trust. He would do well in a home with children of all ages, but might prefer a calmer adult-only home. Vortex would love to have a doggie friend to help him come out of his shell. This boy is going to thrive and make someone a great companion once he is out of the shelter and chilling in a home. We don't know what Vortex thinks of cats, but we can "cat-test" him if needed. Vortex is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and healthy. His adoption fee is $395. If you would like to meet/adopt Vortex, please complete our online application at https://daws.org/daws-forms. Email daws@daws.org if you need assistance or have any questions.

Stop by during our open hours to meet our available dogs!!Before you can adopt, please complete an adoption questionnaire on our website at pawscrossedny.org/dog-adoption-questionnaire. If you have any questions, please email us at adoptions@pawscrossedny.org for more information. Please understand that we cannot hold any pets. All adoptions are done on a first come, first adopt basis for pre-approved applicants. The Shelter software system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.October 11, 2024, 12:28 pm

Story
*Name: Fred (Flintstone Litter) *Age: 1.5 years old *Current Weight: 27 pounds *Rescued from: Texas (currently located with foster in Texas, transport will be scheduled once adopted.) *Adoption fee: $475 They don't come any cuter than this! At just 27 pounds, Fred is a short legged bundle of sweetness, smartness, and affection. He is incredibly friendly and loves to meet new people and dogs of all sizes. Fred is a cuddle bug and a wiggle butt - he loves nothing more than snuggling up to his favorite humans and wagging his tail with excitement. A perfect companion, our Fred is a pleasure to work with, walk with, and watch TV with. His behavior in the house is impeccable. Fred has been in a loving foster home with other dogs and kids, and interacts wonderfully with all. He loves the small children in his foster home and is gentle and calm with them. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will bring joy and love into your life, Fred is the pup for you!  To apply to adopt, fill out an application at https://snarrnortheast.org/adopt/ FAQs -- PLEASE READ ALL BEFORE EMAILING All adoption fees are non-refundable If paying by credit card, Venmo, or PayPal there is a set processing fee, generally this fee is under $15 per pet. These processing fees are determined by the form of payment adopters decide to use. By helping with this minimal cost this allows us to save more animals. Please note that SNARR NE is a volunteer-based organization. While our volunteers will try to respond to you as quickly as possible, it is helpful if you review the below information about our adoption process before emailing: LISTED BREED(S) & AGE: We are taking our best guess on age, breed, and size when fully grown, based on the puppy's/dog's physical appearance and what we might have learned about one or both parents depending on the situation. *NOTE* We rarely know a dog's exact age, nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. Because we often do not have access to medical records at the time that we are listing for dogs for adoption, there are sometimes discrepancies between what is posted on their profile and what might be listed on a dog's medical records. SNARR'S ADOPTION PROCESS: The first step in adopting or meeting a SNARR dog/puppy is to fill out an application at https://snarrnortheast.org/adopt/. Once we receive your application, one of our adoption application processors will contact you, review our adoption process with you, and answer any additional questions you may have. **We do not go on a first-come-first-serve basis for adoptions, but on best fit for a family and most importantly the puppy or dog. ** MEETING ADOPTABLE DOGS: Meet and greets will not be scheduled until after your adoption application has been fully processed and approved by one of our adoption processors. APPLYING ONLINE: If you fill out an online application, please do so from a computer (not a mobile device), make sure you answer ALL the questions in as much detail as possible, and that you receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive a confirmation email, that means we did NOT receive your application. ##1624964##
