Meet Duncan!
Duncan is an 8-year-old, 13-pound chocolate and cream piebald Dachshund who is ready to trade his difficult past for a lifetime of love. He was rescued alongside 41 other Dachshunds from a home with more than 60 dogs, and despite everything he's been through, Duncan has remained one of the sweetest, happiest little dogs you'll ever meet.
This handsome miniature Dachshund is all about love, companionship, and snuggles. Duncan adores people and quickly makes friends with everyone he meets, whether they're kids, adults, seniors, men, or women. His favorite place is wherever you are, and he'll happily follow you from room to room just to be near his favorite people. When it's time to relax, he's more than happy to curl up on your lap or settle beside you for some quality cuddle time.
Duncan is the perfect blend of affectionate and easygoing. He loves being pet, enjoys toys and treats, and gets along wonderfully with both dogs and cats. He's playful when the mood strikes but is equally content spending the day lounging around the house or taking a leisurely walk. He's great on a leash and enjoys getting out to explore with his family.
One of Duncan's most charming qualities is his goofy, silly personality. He has a way of making people smile wherever he goes. While he loves being close to his humans, he also understands when it's time to relax and is perfectly content sleeping in his crate. He's crate trained, uses puppy pads like a pro, and is continuing to make progress with his potty training.
Duncan has no interest in drama—he doesn't bark much, doesn't resource guard, and has no known behavioral issues. He's simply a happy, loving little dog who is grateful for every bit of kindness and attention he receives.
After spending years as one of more than 60 dogs, Duncan is finally getting the chance to experience life as a cherished family member. He's looking for a home where he can continue to thrive, share his endless affection, and be someone's loyal best friend.
