Lilo is a petite little girl, weighing around 10 pounds, and is somewhere between 3 and 4 years old. She’s incredibly sweet and affectionate, loves giving kisses, and would be happiest curled up in your lap or following you from room to room. Lilo isn’t used to children, so an adult-only home would be the best fit for her. She’ll be fully vetted and spayed while in our care. She came to us with Beans (listed separately) after their owner sadly passed away. She was clearly loved and is now looking for a calm, caring home where she can feel safe and cherished again. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. You must begin our adoption process by applying to adopt on clawsadopt.org. Please do NOT inquire via Petfinder, social media messengers or in our comments. We will only be looking at applications! 2. Please make sure you fill out our adoption application COMPLETELY. Story

Finzel and Tippy are brother and sister. Finzel was initially rescued and was very needy until we rescued Tippy a few days later. Since then they have been two happy little puppies. They play together, cuddle together and sleep together. They are thankfully not destructive puppies. Their father was Shih Tzu and Pekingese and their mother dachshund and yorkie. They both seem to have taken on more the Dachshund size, figure and definitely sweet personality. We do not expect them to get more than 10 to 12 lbs. They are both very affectionate, playful, sweet, cuddly, smart, and well-behaved. They have both been altered and are healthy and ready for their forever home. We would prefer adopting them together first and if that does not work out then we would separate them so that they could at least be in a home with hopefully another dog. Anybody that gets these puppies will have a lot of joy and smiles in their home. They have been well loved and socialized. They are puppy pad and litter box trained. They are also used to going outside and going in the yard when there is not a foot of snow. They crate well when needed as well. Still tends to get scared even with familiar people, but wags her tail and gets excited when she sees the person who takes her for walks. * With Dogs: Gets along with other dogs at our center with no issues. * Separation Anxiety: Unclear since she’s living communally at our center. * Potty Training: Not confirmed as she resides communally at our center. Is currently going potty outdoors at our center. * Walks: Is a well-behaved walker who enjoys being outside and does not pull on the leash. May initially feel a bit intimidated and sit down after a few steps to scan the surroundings. Once adjusted to the environment, she walks forward confidently. * Car Sickness: Had no problems and rested during short car rides. * Biting: May growl at times, but calmly accepts being touched. While the growling is a sign of being fearful of people, she has never shown any aggressive behavior, such as nipping or putting teeth on skin. * Bark: Is still afraid of people and growls out of fear when making eye contact with them. * Like: Likes going for walks.

Meet Lola! This very sweet and spunky girl is very skittish and distrustful with new people, but has really blossomed in her foster home. We believe she is a Chihuahua/Dachshund mix and has many personality traits that we think will appeal to the Chihuahua people out there. This girl is not only beautiful, but is also housebroken, crate trained and knows several commands. She'd also be perfect for those hot summer months and cold winter months, since though she loves to be outside, she's not super fond of lengthy walks. Once she chooses her person and bonds she's silly, playful, cuddly and loyal, the perfect work from home companion who loves to sit on your lap and help with whatever you are doing.
