Meet Alba & Allegra!
Alba and Allegra are two 9-year-old, 10-pound Dachshunds who have spent their lives together and are ready to find a forever home where they can continue their journey side by side. Rescued alongside 40 other Dachshunds from a home with more than 60 dogs, these sweet girls are discovering just how wonderful life can be when you're loved as a member of the family.
Alba, a beautiful red piebald, and Allegra, a lovely red Dachshund, share a special bond and spend their days doing what they love most—being close to their people. Wherever you go, don't be surprised if these two little shadows are right behind you, happily following along and keeping you company.
Affection is one of their favorite things in the world. If you're petting one sister, the other is sure to come over and gently nuzzle your hand, hoping for her turn. Alba is especially fond of belly rubs and will happily roll onto her back to make sure you don't miss the opportunity to give her some extra attention.
These girls are sweet, gentle companions who get along well with both dogs and cats. They have easygoing personalities and are happiest when they're spending time with their people, whether that's relaxing on the couch, following you around the house, or settling in nearby for a nap.
Alba and Allegra are doing well with puppy pad training and have adapted nicely to life in foster care. Like many dogs rescued from this situation, they're still learning some new skills. Leash walking is a work in progress, and they'll need a patient family willing to continue helping them build confidence and learn about the world around them.
Despite everything they've been through, Alba and Allegra have remained loving, trusting, and eager to connect with the people caring for them. Their resilience and gentle spirits are truly remarkable.
After spending years as two of more than 60 dogs, these sisters are finally getting the chance to be cherished as individuals. Now they're hoping to find a family who will continue showing them the love, security, and comfort they've always deserved.
