Hi, I’m Livie! I’m a 16 pound 2-year-old Doxie/Mountain Cur mix with a soft heart and an even softer spot for being close to you. I came from a property with lots of other dogs, so I’m used to having furry friends around and I enjoy their company. At first, I can be just a tiny bit shy when I meet new people, but it doesn’t last long. Once I realize you’re kind, I come out of my shell. Everyone who spends time with me says I’m super, super sweet and such a gentle girl. I just love to be loved! I’m also best friends with Leah, who is looking for her forever home too. I’d do wonderfully in a calm, loving home where I can continue to build my confidence and be someone’s loyal companion. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. Meet Lola! This very sweet and spunky girl is very skittish and distrustful with new people, but has really blossomed in her foster home. We believe she is a Chihuahua/Dachshund mix and has many personality traits that we think will appeal to the Chihuahua people out there. This girl is not only beautiful, but is also housebroken, crate trained and knows several commands. She'd also be perfect for those hot summer months and cold winter months, since though she loves to be outside, she's not super fond of lengthy walks. Once she chooses her person and bonds she's silly, playful, cuddly and loyal, the perfect work from home companion who loves to sit on your lap and help with whatever you are doing. She's not a fan of other animals, children, or strangers especially men although she's been able to make friends with them if they ignore her at first and offer lots of yummy treats- intros have to be slow and on her terms. She was placed on the euthanasia list, so Adogs quickly rescued her. 3⃣ Basic Information * With People: Is scared and fearful of people. Still tends to get scared even with familiar people, but she wags her tail and gets excited when she sees the person who takes her for walks. * With Dogs: Gets along with other dogs at our center with no issues. * Separation Anxiety: Unclear since she’s living communally at our center. * Potty Training: Not confirmed as she resides communally at our center. Is currently going potty outdoors at our center. * Walks: Loves going for walks and handles it maturely without pulling on the leash. Is a little cautious at first, but does well after a few steps. * Car Sickness: Had no problems and rested during short car rides. * Sometimes growls but accepts pets calmly. Growls out of fear of humans but never bites. * Is still afraid of people and growls out of fear when making eye contact with them. * Likes going for walks.

Located in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders. This girl was brought in with babies when her owner couldn't take care of her. She was not socialized very well so will need some work. She will need a very patient person to get her to come out of her shell. She was kept outside so she has no house manners, nor has she been with cats. She does do well with dogs her size and seems to like to play with them. She deserves a new chance to be a loved dog and companion. She will take a lot of time and investment but deserves a chance!
