✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to JFK/EWR💟 The prices listed are based on USD, and the adoption fee will be calculated in CAD according to the exchange rate. Meet Rumi🧡 💙 Adogs News Account: @_adogs_ 1⃣ Health Condition * Spayed. * Microchipped, and heartworm negative. * Recently received treatment for pancreatitis. Should avoid being fed fatty foods. 2⃣ Rescue Story * Rumi had stayed at the Gimje City Shelter for over two years after giving birth to puppies, living in a cramped space. Afterwards, she was placed on the euthanasia list, so Adogs quickly rescued her. 3⃣ Basic Information * With People: Is scared and fearful of people. Still tends to get scared even with familiar people, but wags her tail and gets excited when she sees the person who takes her for walks. * With Dogs: Gets along with other dogs at our center with no issues. * Separation Anxiety: Unclear since she’s living communally at our center. * Potty Training: Not confirmed as she resides communally at our center. Is currently going potty outdoors at our center. * Walks: Is a well-behaved walker who enjoys being outside and does not pull on the leash. May initially feel a bit intimidated and sit down after a few steps to scan the surroundings. Once adjusted to the environment, she walks forward confidently. * Car Sickness: Had no problems and rested during short car rides. * Biting: May growl at times, but calmly accepts being touched. While the growling is a sign of being fearful of people, she has never shown any aggressive behavior, such as nipping or putting teeth on skin. * Bark: Is still afraid of people and growls out of fear when making eye contact with them. * Like: Likes going for walks.

If you have any questions, please email us at adoptions@pawscrossedny.org for more information. Please understand that we cannot hold any pets. All adoptions are done on a first come, first adopt basis for pre-approved applicants. The Shelter software system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.November 26, 2025, 12:43 am

Story
Located in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders. This girl was brought in with babies when her owner couldn't take care of her. She was not socialized very well so will need some work. She will need a very patient person to get her to come out of her shell. She was kept outside so she has no house manners, nor has she been with cats. She does do well with dogs her size and seems to like to play with them. She deserves a new chance to be a loved dog and companion. She will take a lot of time and investment but deserves a chance!

Story
ALL our cats and dogs are in the NY area but can be adopted out of state to the purrfect furever home.  In some cases, we can help transport.  Zani's al fresco Summer Adoptions  follow us on FB to find us this summer as we will try new locations to meet the needs of NYC and support the little stores:)     Everyone, meet Brick Age: 4 yearsBreed: MixedWeight: 30 pounds (a bit overweight)Neutered: YesVaccines: Fully up to dateGood with dogs: YesFriendly with people: Yes Brick’s story started in a municipal shelter, where he was taken after being hit by a car. He healed on his own inside a kennel. Because of how the bone healed, he has a slight limp, but he is not in pain. It is simply the way his body recovered. After his recovery, Brick was at risk of euthanasia. An animal lover stepped in and pulled him from the shelter, but the municipality warned that if he was returned to his territory, he would be euthanized. With no other safe option, the volunteer placed him in a paid boarding shelter. That was three years ago. Brick has been living there ever since. He is a sweet, calm boy who gets along well with everyone. He asks for very little and gives so much love in return. No dog deserves to spend their entire life waiting behind kennel doors. Brick may walk a little differently, but he is just as deserving of a home, a family, and a soft place to rest as any other dog. He is simply a good boy, and he has waited long enough. If you want to know about cats/dogs specifically being shown at our adoption locations, please email us info@zanisfurryfriends.org closer to the date so we know your interest and will make every effort to have that pet at the event or let you know how and where you can meet.  It is extemely helpful and speeds up adoption if the application is filled out prior to visiting us so please do that before coming to our weekend events. Our weekend locations are: Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent  Follow us on FB, Zani's Furry Friends ZFF, for latest updates. Usually we are in our foster homes so all this is a bit more stressful but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer. And you can always donate:) Cats and Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD w/ all age appropriate shots and microchipped. Cats are feline combo tested for FIV/FeLV; dogs are heartworm tested and rabies vax'd, (NOT lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it); rabbits are spayed/neutered. Please fill out an application and email to: For Cats: cats@zanisfurryfriends.org For Dogs: dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org For Rabbits: nyc.acc.rabbits@gmail.com. Please visit our website zanisfurryfriends.org.

All dogs are located in NY/NJ area All our puppies need puppy play dates/doggy facetime so we recommend homes with other pups or daily interactions to keep them tired out, happy and social.     Facebook: Zani's Furry Friends ZFF (weekly adoption event info posted there)Twitter: zanisff Instagram: zanisfurryfriends   Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, Rabies vaxed, and microchipped (not Lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it!)  All are in the NY/NJ area but we will adopt out of state to the purrfect home and in some cases, we can arrange transport.  Please go to our site  https://zanisfurryfriends.org  fill out an application  Many of us (cats/dogs) will be on display on Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent--please ask by writing us at dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org and following us on FB. If you are seriously interested in adopting one of us in particular, please fill out an application early Friday so that we can be sure to be there. Otherwise we decide based on other variables. Usually we are in our foster homes so this is a bit more stressful and a slightly artificial environment but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes too.   Please consider providing a home for more than one dog, especially if you are considering adopting a puppy. Dogs are pack animals and very much enjoy as well as need other dog company to learn to play, socialize and be good companion animals to people. The upside to this is that you won't feel as guilty leaving them alone and you get twice the love. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer, and you can always donate!
