Story

Was surrendered by young owner to Babinski due to abusive environment at home. Shelby is a very sweet girl that needs a fun home & family to stay with. She is about 3 years old. She is not destrctive. Shelby is housetrained, knows several commands, likes to sit on the couch with me and really likes being petted. Loves squeaky toys...of which she has many. Chuck-it is her favorite thing outside. Unfortunately my dauschund has not accepted Shelby and he has attacked her. I have to keep them separated which is not fair to either of the dogs. My terrier is just fine around her and Shelby gets along with the neighbors dog. I have a kennel for her but she does very well sleeping in the living room at night and in the spare room while I'm at work. Shelby has a fabulous and loving temperament. She will be a great companion.

Story

Bruno is a great dog. Very loving, completely housebroke, great with our cat & other dog. He worries over me & is causing stress in our marriage. He is not aggressive, I just worry it may get worse & my husband has no patience with his behavior. He would do great with someone that took the time with him. He also has hip displasia. At this point we just give him suppliments & an occasional pain pill. I'm not sure if he would be good around young children. His only experience with a 3 year child was not pleasent for him. I think he would be insecure around a young child. He also does have some anxiety. Which also with someone working with him, I believe it all would go away.

Story

Rigby was born 2 wks before Christmas 2025. She joined us in Feb 2026. She came from an Amish farm. We have 2 older dogs. We purchased a full package of obedience training through PetSmart, and only completed the Puppy/ Beginner training. We never finished because I required major surgery and I was unable to take her back. Additionally, our lives have gotten busier and I have returned to work. Rigby is crate trained, but I do not like the idea of leaving her in a crate 15+ hours a day. We have taken Rigby to our local vet (all records will be made available) at time of adoption. She is current with all vaccinations. She has a microchip. And she was spayed.Rigby needs a home where she can get a lot of attention, other pets. She is a heeler mix with rat terrier. She likes to dig, corral, and chew. It's important to provide her lots of bones, areas designated for digging, and play partners to keep her occupied! She's affectionate and seeks attention. And she is submissive.

Mama Everest is a stunning husky/shepherd mix with a heart as big as her name. She comes to us from the Red Lake Reservation, where she did everything she could to keep her babies safe in the harsh Minnesota cold. Everest gave birth under a porch, sheltering her puppies as best she could. A kind community member brought the puppies inside to keep them warm, while Everest stayed close by—watching, waiting, and protecting from outside, even though she wasn’t comfortable coming indoors herself. Her devotion never wavered. She has proven to be an incredible mama. Her puppies are healthy, happy, and chunky thanks to her constant care. Everest has done her job beautifully—and now, once her babies are fully weaned, she deserves the chance to be someone’s baby too. Mama Everest is gentle, resilient, and deeply loyal. She’s learning that she’s safe now and that humans can be trusted to take care of her as well. If you’re patient, compassionate, and ready to open your heart to a dog who has given so much of herself already, Mama Everest may be the perfect fit.
