Story
Gus is amazing with all animals and humans. He wants to be best friends with everyone. Very sweet and energetic, yet loves a great nap! Doesn’t bark unless he is really needing something. Loves being outside and playing fetch, loves snuggles. We really want Gus to go to a great home where he will get the attention he deserves, and be as loved as he is with us. Unfortunately we have to rehome him as our child has developed very bad allergies to him.

Story
Rosie is a sweet nine year old purebred red piebald dachshund. Her family moved and couldn't take her along. She spent her entire life with her previous family and needs time to adjust to a new living situation. Rosie has beautiful blue eyes, one is smaller than the other (congenital issue). She had a tumor removed in September 2022. She's had eight years of excellent veterinary care and is in great health. Rosie is spayed and current on vaccinations, and as of her vet visit 11/9/22, she weighs 19 pounds. She will be microchipped before she leaves. Rosie lived with three other small-breed dogs (all younger than her), and she did very well. She's selective about which dogs she's making friends with in her foster home, and has gone after other dogs (almost exclusively female dogs). She needs to be placed in a home without other female dogs for her own safety. Rosie can be food aggressive toward other animals (cats included), but not toward humans. She needs to be fed in her own area away from other pets. Rosie is a dachshund and as such she cannot live with rabbits or other small pets - she will try to kill them. Kids are no problem. Rosie loves her two-legged foster siblings (ages 9 and up). She has a good recall (most of the time) while in a fenced area (poor recall if allowed to run loose), but she walks well on a leash. She does well being let out every three hours throughout the day, but will have accidents if she's not let out regularly. Her previous home left potty pads on the floor, her foster home relies on outdoor potty training. Rosie does howl and cry if she thinks she is home alone. She would do best in a home with someone who can be with her full time - or can bring her with them to work - or can have a pet nanny or dog sitter with her at all times. Rosie's original family would like to stay in touch and get updates if at all possible. Rosie is available for adoption to an approved home that can meet her specific needs. Her adoption fee is $375.

Story
She will be 2 in July. English Bulldog/Pitbull mix. She is super sweet, very gentle, great with older kids (has not been around little ones), needs a lot of love and attention. She is kennel trained, house trained and pretty well behaved. Knows basic commands. She will give you all her love and is very loyal. This will be a big adjustment for her so will need someone who is willing to be patient and give her the time and attention she needs to adjust.

Story
Ella Mae has arrived from Mexico! This sweet girl has had a tough life but is looking forward to a new beginning! She is so sweet & gentle natured. She's calm but loves to explore. She is looking forward to a slow retirement home filled with love! Age: 12 Breed:  Chi Mix Weight:  12 lbs Kid-friendly: Great with kiddos but she is shy so we recommend older kiddos. Dogs: She's pretty bossy so she would need a very tolerant dog. She likes to bark orders! Cats: Yes but again, bossy ;) Crate trained: Yes! Potty trained: Yes! Health concerns: She only has two teeth! Adoption fee: $175 As a rescue, we provide the care, procedures and testing that is available to us.      Adopters will be responsible for continued preventatives, follow-up appointments, and medications (if applicable). At times, adopters will be responsible for procedures not completed in rescue (dentals, bloodwork, etc.) Your new dog will receive their rabies and distemper vaccine. $50 discount for seniors (65+) and veterans. Adoption fees help pay for the dog's veterinary exam, vaccinations (rabies and distemper) HW test, a microchip, and spay/neuter if needed and additional health needs specific to each animal.  Grey Face Rescue does not adopt outside of Minnesota for now. We apologize for the inconvenience. We do not adopt animals to families whose current pets are not up-to-date on vaccinations or not altered. Exceptions may be made for medical reasons as stated by a veterinarian and we will require proof of that recommendation. Thank you for understanding our mission to reduce overpopulation. Once you submit your application, our adoption manager will be in touch, so please check your spam folder if you do not see something from us within 7-10 days. Story
Sweet Reba! Reba is a bit shy but her personality really blooms with another dog. She listens well and loves treats and belly rubs. Reba has a sweet personality, both kennel and potty trained. She enjoys the love and affection of her humans. She is truly a gentle and loving girl. We do recommend she go to a home with another dog that will give her confidence. Reba is quite small for a Shepherd Mix. She is only 35lbs so great for an apartment or someone looking for a smaller dog. Age: 4 years Breed: Shepherd/Mix Weight: 37 lbs Kid-friendly: She does great with the foster's older children but may be a little timid towards younger children. We recommend children that have respectful boundaries with dogs. Dogs: Yes, we would prefer she go to a home with another dog. Cats: Unknown but with slow introductions she may be fine, she doesn't seem to have a prey drive Crate trained: Yes, she does great in her crate Potty trained: Yes Health concerns: None Adoption fee: $325 As a rescue, we provide the care, procedures and testing that is available to us. Adopters will be responsible for continued preventatives, follow-up appointments, and medications (if applicable).
