Story
I am needing to re-home my sweet GSP. Bruce is 3 years old with a ton of energy. I am selling my house and downsizing to an apartment. It has been one of the hardest decisions I have had to make, but I know it’s what’s best for him.

Story
Loki is the sweetest boy with people he knows; he cuddles so close you’d think he’s apart of you! Unfortunately with people he doesn’t know, mainly with men, Loki may show aggressive tendencies, and needs some time to warm up! Once he knows people, he is wonderful and wants to be right by you. Loki would thrive in a laidback home where his owner is a homebody. He does well with cats and dogs with proper introductions. He would benefit from no kids due to their lack of predictability. If you want to know more about Loki we would love to hear from you!

Story
Amber experiences significant anxiety around unfamiliar people. When frightened, overwhelmed, or feeling threatened, that anxiety can escalate into aggressive behavior. She should therefore be placed in an **adult-only home** with someone who understands canine behavior and is prepared to manage her carefully around unfamiliar people. I believe Amber needs:- A stable, predictable routine- A securely fenced yard- Someone experienced with strong, energetic dogs- Someone who understands anxiety, reactivity, and responsible behavioral management with aggression- Plenty of exercise, play, attention, affection, and mental stimulation- Someone willing to build trust gradually rather than expecting immediate social comfort- Careful management around unfamiliar people and other animals.I am seeking a safe and appropriate placement for Amber because I believe she needs a home with more specialized structure and behavioral management than I can provide long term. My roommate is scared of her!

Story
American Bully not Bulldog I rescued Tia in January in my hometown of California MD. I had just retired and she and I were inseparable. Last month we drove cross-country for me to begin a new career in MN. She did so wonderful with just the two of us. But after getting here and being her 3 weeks, I feel horrible. I find myself sometimes being gone 14 or 16 hours a day and she is just lonely. I cannot crate her, so she has free reign. But she has no one with her. It is breaking my heart to do this but she deserves so much better. She needs an owner that can give her the time and attention she deserves. She is such a pleaser, such a sweetheart. I have never heard her bark, honestly, ever. She is very friendly with everyone she meets. She is scared of trash bags and bubbles. But she is a people person and needs interaction to be happy. If you have other dogs, great. Cats, great. Kids, great. Just a companion, great. I swear you will not find a more loyal dog than T.

Story
Say hello to Uno! He has lived with other small/medium dogs and did well. He has lived with children and did great, but he tends to be jumpy when excited. Slow and proper introductions to resident pets and children are always recommended when bringing a new animal into the home. Ask a TCHS staff for tips on how to ease the transition. Uno is a very friendly boy. He still has lots of puppy energy! His favorite thing to do is play. He truly enjoys playing fetch with a ball. Come meet Uno today! *Adoption holds may be placed on available animals in person or by calling 320-252-0896. An adoption hold reserves available animals for one day after the animal is ready to be adopted. More than one adoption hold may be placed on an available animal and will be honored in the order they were received. Adoption holds are $25 plus tax, are non-refundable, non-transferable and not applied toward the adoption fee. **Minnesota sales tax and an administrative fee ($20 for cats/dogs and $10 for small animals) will be applied to all adoptions. Donations and adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter surgeries, microchipping, vaccinating, deworming, any medical procedures, and general care of all shelter animals. Story
Say hello to Fig! Fig came to TCHS as a transfer from another facility along with her siblings. We don't know much about their history or where they came from. Since their arrival, they have been somewhat shy and nervous, but we're sure if given enough love and patience, their personalities will shine through! Fig has not met other animals that we know of. She has not met children. Slow and proper introductions to resident pets and kids are always recommended when bringing home a new furry friend. Ask a TCHS staff member for information on how to ease the transition! Fig would love to have durable toys to chew on and keep her entertained. Patient and consistent training using treats is a good way to work on obedience cues. Ask a TCHS staff about training and suggestions for the perfect toy for your new friend from the TCHS Re-Tail Shoppe. Come meet this sweet girl today! *Adoption holds may be placed on available animals in person or by calling (320) 252-0896. An adoption hold reserves available animals for one day after the animal is ready to be adopted. More than one adoption hold may be placed on an available animal and will be honored in the order they were received.
