Story
Crixus is an 8-year-old, 65 lb German Shepherd with a gentle soul and a strong heart. He’s mellow and polite in the home, perfectly potty trained, and happy to lounge under the table or near his people as they go about their day. While he loves a good walk and sniffs everything with purpose, he’s also content to kick back and watch the world go by. He’s kid-friendly, dog-curious (but strong on leash), and loves to be outside. Crixus is not a good match for homes with cats or small dogs , but could potentially live with another large dog after slow introductions. He’ll be neutered before adoption and is ready to start the next chapter of his life with a calm but active family. Will be neutered before being adopted. Adoption fee:$375 As a rescue, we provide the care, procedures and testing that is available to us. Adopters will be responsible for continued preventatives, follow-up appointments, and medications (if applicable). At times, adopters will be responsible for procedures not completed in rescue (dentals, bloodwork, etc.) Your new dog will receive their rabies and distemper vaccine. $50 discount for seniors (65+) and veterans. Adoption fees help pay for the dog's veterinary exam, vaccinations (rabies and distemper) HW test and spay/neuter if needed and additional health needs specific to each animal. Grey Face Rescue does not adopt outside of Minnesota for now. We apologize for the inconvenience. We do not adopt animals to families whose current pets are not up-to-date on vaccinations or not altered.
