Story
Ginger's foster mom wrote to tell us what an amazing dog she is. This is her experience with Ginger. She loves everyone and everything. She loves to curl up and cuddle (she thinks she's a lap dog) and she is the snuggliest pup I have ever met! During the day, she is so relaxed while I do my work, she just curls up next to me or goes to sleep on her bed - just super go with the flow. She's a major velcro dog, and yet does not seem to struggle with separation anxiety. I have been practicing crate training and leaving her alone for short periods of time throughout the day and she does an amazing job, no barking, crying, or destructive behaviors. She was a bit difficult on the leash when I first got her, as she had never been on leash, but I started using a gentle leader harness and it has made a WORLD of a difference and she is super easy on the leash now. We are working on "heel" on the leash but with the gentle leader she barely needs the reminder to heel. However, she would only pull out of excitement since she just wants to say hi to every human and dog we walk past! The world needs to know how amazing of a dog she is! She is just a wonderful, sweet, silly dog who makes the best companion. Age: 2 years. WT: 51lbs. Temperament: Good with all people and dogs. Vetting: Spayed, up to date on vaccines, HW negative Training: House trained, crate trained, knows commands, Sit-stay-shake-down For questions, please email loramyers51@yahoo.com To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review.

Story
Fauna is an amazing girl! She was rescued from the pound and nursed back to health when she had a bad upper respiratory infection. She has so much personality and she is a ball of love. She loves people more than anything and she's looking for a best friend. She is good with dogs, but she has a semi-alpha personality and likes very slow and proper introductions. She is a bit of a humper but she has played with other dogs. She plays like a Boxer and has an energetic play style. They have to be the right fit. She would be fine as an only dog. She would love a person that will take her for long walks. She is playful and sweet and happy to meet everyone that passes by. She is incredibly affectionate and loves to snuggle. She will definitely watch movies with you. She is housebroken and crate trained and she'll bark to let you know she needs to go outside to pottie. She loves a routine and consistency, but mainly she loves people. She is non-destructive when left loose in the house while you’re gone, but we recommend crating her if you're going to be gone for long to reinforce her pottie training. She doesn't love her crate, but she'll go in it. Sometimes, she likes to be bribed with a little treat to go in. She has a kong crate. She likes her toys and enjoys having them in her crate if she is left in one. She'll play quietly with her toys on her bed while you're working also. She pulls on the leash but walks great with a prong collar. Age: 4 years old approx Weight: 56lb Temperament: Good with dogs with slow introduction, best with dogs who have her energy level, older respectful kids due to her energy. Training: Crate-trained, house trained. Vetting: Spayed, up to date on vaccines, HW negative For questions about Fauna, please email: aimiablepetcare@aol.com To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review.

Story
Meet Mavi, a sleek young speedster who's ready to zoom off with your heart. She'd be the perfect partner for your hikes or jogs, and she's a social butterfly, so other doggies on the trail are welcome too! She's no slouch in the brains department either and catches on quick. Just wave a treat and watch her sit like a pro. She's totally house-trained, so no accidents to worry about. She's crated during the day and spends her nights on a cozy futon. Mavi is a sweet gentle soul, making friends with every pooch she meets. Although she has a playful nature, she might be too much for dogs who aren't interested in chase. Mavi is a people pleaser and loves everyone in the family. She's a car fanatic, eager to hop in and gazing out the windows. And, once the excitement is over, she'll take a nap in the back seat. They don't get anymore fun or mannerly than Miss Mavi! Age: 2 years old Weight: 45lb Temperament: Good with dogs but not cats, and older sturdier kids due to her energy Training: Crate-trained, house trained and knows commands Vetting: Spayed, up to date on vaccines, HW negative For questions, please email: aimiablepetcare@aol.com To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review.
