Story
**This dog is with Corridor Rescue in Houston, Texas** Hi there, I'm Davis! My friends at the kennel call me a "sensitive soul", but it is only because I do not like to be alone. What can I say? I like the company! They also say that I feed off the emotions of other dogs. Because of this I would only feel comfortable going home with a very laid back, passive dog. A home with no other dogs would be even better! You will always catch me with a smile on my face. Eager to please and eager to love! Those are my words to live by! I'm a pretty easy guy to get along with. If you'd like to see that for yourself, fill out an application to meet me! I'd love to meet you! ********* Davis has separation anxiety and would do best in a home where someone is with him the majority of the day or is able to have someone come over and let him out or bring him to doggie daycare. He loves his people and will sit in laps, on feet, etc., to keep you near. He also very much prefers to sleep in bed with his people. He's a very sweet, sensitive, athletic boy who will require time, energy and patience, but the love that comes back will be more than worth it. He has flourished in his foster home with his human parents and furry siblings. We can't wait to see what he does in his forever home. **** Please apply to foster or adopt online at www.corridorrescue.org Direct inquiries to: adopt@corridorrescue.org The adoption fee of $125 covers spay/neuter, microchip and current vaccines. Transport is available and can be discussed on an individual basis. Thank you for considering a rescued former street dog for your next family member!

Story
**This dog is with Corridor Rescue in Houston, Texas** While we joke about Knight being a jerkface of a dog, the truth is he is one of the sweetest boys you'll ever meet. Mellow yet energetic, this stunning 7yr old bachelor is in the prime of his life and looking to settle down. Found at a Buddhist temple, this handsome boy has had some truly rough patches and deserves a warm comfy spot on the couch to spend the second half of his life. Carrying an inbedded bullet close to his heart tells of struggles in his past, but never slows him down. He is an absolute clown, prone to making less than stellar decisions. He's been known to bite holes in jackets to reach treats, easily overpowers small children, and can be a touch of a brat when he feels it's time to behave as one. That said, he is without a doubt the staff favorite at the shelter, and while we will hate to see him leave we hope every day that the right family will come for him. When he's being his 'good' self, he's a dream on a leash, and listens to commands well(sit, down, shake, and stay) - 90% of the time he's an angel, the other 10% sometimes makes us wonder if all dogs really go to heaven, and we adore him 100% of the time!! You're sure to fall in love with his soulful eyes, and warm cuddles. At a commanding 65lbs, Knight is a very strong and athletic boy which makes him the perfect running partner. He adores time on the treadmill just as much as he loves sunbathing, and is always ready for a cuddle session. Not the biggest fan of other dogs, and loathing of cats, Knight will need a single-pet household. For the right family, a true gem is waiting here in Knight! *** Please apply to foster or adopt online at www.corridorrescue.org Direct inquiries to: adopt@corridorrescue.org. Story
**This dog is with Corridor Rescue in Houston, Texas** Hey... um hi...my name is Freckles. I did not get a lot of socialization with people before I was rescued from the streets, so it takes me some time to trust and get comfortable. I do enjoy the company of other dogs and puppies and would do well in a home with another dog. I am currently living in a foster home with another dog who is not as playful as me. We still enjoy each other's company and I am learning how much joy it is to live in a real home. I am completely housebroken and have the zoomies each morning while my foster parents are waking up. I am doing my best to approach new experiences with a brave face but because it takes me a little while to warm up, no one has really given me a chance to shine....like a good diamond it takes time. *** Please apply to foster or adopt online at www.corridorrescue.org Direct inquiries to: adopt@corridorrescue.org The adoption fee of $125 covers spay/neuter, microchip and current vaccines. Story
**This dog is with Corridor Rescue in Houston, Texas** Hello, my name is Jetta, but the ladies at the kennel call me Jetta Bear, I guess because I'm so sweet! Anyways, a little bit about me, you say?! Well I love sun bathing it is my absolute favorite. I also love toys! Playing tug a war with you or even a squeeker toy or wobbler just for myself I am happy with. I do great on a leash, LOVE car rides, and am great for baths and nail trims. Above all, I want nothing more than to cuddle! Quiet and laid-back, there's just gotta be a couch cushion waiting for me, somewhere. I think I am the princess of the world and I don't like sharing my attention with any other animals and would be best if it was just me and you, cause I am spoiled like that. Cats are not cool to me, and I'm not a fan of other dogs one bit, but I'm all the love you'd need!! *** Please apply to foster or adopt online at www.corridorrescue.org Direct inquiries to: adopt@corridorrescue.org The adoption fee of $125 covers spay/neuter, microchip and current vaccines. Story
**This dog is with Corridor Rescue in Houston, Texas** Hi there, I'm Boots! Up until my rescue I lived my life on a short chain. It was very lonely living outside for such a long time by myself, so I have a lot to make up for now that i'm safe! Although I wasn't always treated the best by my owners, I still can't help but to love everyone I meet. I am still working on learning my manners and leash skills - I just get so excited for attention! I'm decidedly NOT a fan of cats, but have done very well when it comes to playgroups with female dogs; what can I say, I love my canine buddies! The shelter staff often relies on me to learn if new dogs are friendly, because being social is what I do! I've got 'sit' down pretty solid, and am good about keeping a clean kennel, so I think I'll be a rockstar in a home environment. While I've done a lot of maturing at the shelter I'm still pretty high energy, so I am looking for an active home who can help me learn what being a part of a family is really like. Could it be with you? *** Please apply to foster or adopt online at www.corridorrescue.org Direct inquiries to: adopt@corridorrescue.org The adoption fee of $225 covers spay/neuter, microchip and current vaccines. Story
**This dog is with Corridor Rescue in Houston, Texas** Sweet and fun-loving, Mateo has certainly had a rough start that he's not let get him down. He's yet to meet a stranger, loves toys(balls are his favorite), and is solid on a leash but could use some refinement. Because of his questionable start, we have yet to see him successfully interact with other dogs; he lacks social cues and would likely do best as an only dog. Cats are sadly a firm no, as he shows a strong prey drive. He's started to work on basic obedience, knowing sit and being the King of the pouty lip when he begs. For an active home, he's perfection! Mateo is a goofball through and through, and sometimes doesn't make the best decisions - toys with squeakers **must be monitored closely** as he loves to chew them up and swallow the squeakers!! *** Please apply to foster or adopt online at www.corridorrescue.org Direct inquiries to: adopt@corridorrescue.org The adoption fee of $225 covers spay/neuter, microchip and current vaccines.
