Story
Meet Pearl! She is a 6 year old black lab. Pearl is a good girl with a typical lab personality - tons of energy and she loves to play fetch and go swimming. Pearl currently eats Hill’s Science Diet adult dog food and her favorite treats are pork chomps. Pearl is a great dog but needs to be an only pet. She is not great with other dogs or cats but she has never had an issue with people or children. Pearl knows sit, down, middle and place commands. She loves to tug on a leash and we typically exercise her with fetch or running around in the yard. She does not typically chew on anything she shouldn’t, but she will counter surf given a tempting treat left out. Pearl is a very very smart, motivated and high energy dog. I will miss her so much but she is too stressed living with our other pets. I have had her her entire life so only one owner. Let me know if you have any questions. I’m willing to meet or travel for the right fit. Thank you!

Story
Polaris is a young girl who was found dumped on the side of the road with a bag of dog food dumped on the ground as her only help for survival. A good samaritan picked her up and contacted me. Help Polaris never face that kind of treatment again by giving her a forever home. She is very sweet and friendly and great with other dogs and people and kids. She definitely has a prey drive though, which is not at all unusual for dogs, so no kitties or small animals. She walks well on the leash and does well in a crate. She is currently still in Oklahoma where she was rescued but she can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. She has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take her in or she will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. Note: No dogs are advertised as potty-trained because most dogs need at least some re-training in a new environment and after being in a shelter/rescue environment/strays. www.facebook.com/desideratarescue (copy and paste into a new browser window) Transport locations: - Washington State (Kennewick, Spokane, Tumwater, Tacoma, Tukwila, Lynnwood/Edmonds, Bellingham) - Oregon (Portland and Springfield) - Colorado (Ft Lupton) - Idaho (Heyburn and Boise/Meridian) - Utah (Ogden) - Wyoming (Evanston, Rock Springs, Laramie) - Montana (Missoula) - Illinois (Vandalia, Springfield, Chicago) - Indiana (Spiceland, Burn Harbor) - Michigan (St Joseph, Battle Creek, Ann Arbor) - Wisconsin (Madison, Wausau, Eau Claire, Appleton, Milwaukee) - Minnesota (Minneapolis/St Paul) - Iowa (Des Moines) - Ohio (Columbus and London) - Pennsylvania (Erie, Pittsburgh and Harrisburg) - New York (Buffalo and Albany) - Connecticut (Enfield) - New Jersey (Bedminster) - Nevada (Las Vegas) - Arizona (Flagstaff) Vetting: spayed, microchipped, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, dhpp vaccine x 3, lepto vaccine x 2, dewormed several times, on monthly flea and tick prevention, on monthly heartworm protection, heartworm tested (negative) Adoption fee: $550 (includes the $250 cost of transport from Oklahoma and all vetting listed above) Adoption application (copy and paste into a new browser window): https://form.jotform.com/82677586784176 FAQs (copy and paste into a new browser window): https://docs.google.com/document/d/12eb_SRtk1AzaBl87UltcLJ24MjH9UhQm_LE77iWZEQA/edit?tab=t.0 Desiderata Rescue is Oklahoma Licensed Rescue #95
