You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee: $550 plus taxI'm so very pleased to meet you!  I'm good with kids and love other dogs. I like to spend my days busying myself with toys and doggie chewies.  I like to stay active too by running and playing in the yard.  However, I usually fit a few naps into my day as well.  After all, who doesn't like a nap?  I'm learning what potty pads are and that I really should go outside to do my dirty business but it takes time to establish those habits.  I love to cuddle with my humans too. I'm searching for a fabulous forever home to share my life and love with! Do you want a great friend to join your family?  Well, adopt me and let's start making lasting memories together!  * Puppies under 5 months should not be left alone for more than 4 hours at a time to help them with potty training and socialization.   If you have previously applied with us please email adoptionatmars@gmail.com to reactivate your application with new interest.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  or    *The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person!  If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called 'cute' as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification! Completion of an Adoption Application via our website www.midwestanimalrescue.org is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in our adoption process.  *Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.  Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.   //

Story
We rescued Reo in 2021 and had significant anxiety over everything. Over the past few years, he has overcome SO MUCH and is the most loving loyal pup ever. He loves walks, going to the dog park, chewing bones, playing with his stuffed banana and chew ropes, and spending time in the backyard. However, he still has a lot of anxiety around children (including my 7-year-old) and it has become too hard to keep them both happy and comfortable without asking my son to not act like a kid. I will be honest and say that he has starting grumbling and snapping at my son when he gets too worried and scared. Because of that, ideally, he would be in a home with one or two super loving adults who can spend all the time with him that he needs! He would be less anxious and happier with a family without children or other pets. Reo really is my best friend, and while this absolutely breaks my heart, I know that this will be what is best for him and his anxiety.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Did I catch your eye? Learn more about me by reading my profile below; I just might be your new best friend! Apply on our website ( https://www.healingheartsrescue.org/adopt )  to  set up a private meeting or check below for my adoption event schedule.   Age: Approximate DOB 9/9/2022 Weight: 35 pounds Dog friendly: YES! I need one in my forever home Cat friendly: Yes with dog savvy cats Kid friendly: Older kids only, please! Potty trained: Yes Crate trained: Yes when I can see other dogs **Needs another confident dog and physically fenced yard**  Addie is the sweetest little girl you’ll ever meet! She is nervous about new people at first, but will warm up after she realizes she's home and safe. She is such a little love bug who wants to cuddle and get pets. She happily lounges on the couch She needs another dog in the home to teach her how to be confident. She absolutely LOVES her doggo foster brother and playing with him, so another dog that wants to play is a must, as she needs that kind of relationship to blossom. She would cuddle up with her cat foster sister all of the time, so as long as the cat can handle her bursts of energy, she's a doll with them! Because of her fears, she'll need a securely fenced yard to live her happiest life, and you'll see a different side of her when she's outside playing! She is potty trained on a schedule when you're home with her, but she can also keep her kennel clean for a workday. She's the easiest little girl because of her sweet demeanor and smartness. She keeps herself busy with toys during the day, so she'd be a great companion for anyone who works from home but is not required!  Once she's comfortable with you, we think she would be really great at agility or other training, too, so feel free to put her border collie abilities to the test! She gets really scared by sudden, loud noises and fast movements, so Addie would do best in a home without little kids. Other than that, she just wants all the love she can get from her people, dogs, and cats!  Adoption Fee: $595Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.INTERESTED IN MEETING ME? If you’d like to arrange a private meeting or begin the adoption process, please fill out an adoption application by visiting    https://www.healingheartsrescue.org/adopt   **Note on breed and age determination:  Breed and age are often determined on appearance, our own knowledge, veterinarian advice, and/or information from the sending shelters or previous owners.  Most of our adoptable dogs were previously stray dogs with little history, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s breed mix, and unless there is a specific date of birth listed, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s age. Story
My name is Ophelia and I’m loving MN life! My foster mom tells me I’m so smart because I learned how to use stairs to get up on the bed and the couch after only 1 lesson! I sleep in bed with her & two other pups & I let her know if I need a potty break in the night. She also tells me I’m the goodest girl, whatever that means. I’m so happy to have toys to play with. Most of all, I have pup foster siblings & I love playing best with my 21lb. and 45lb. siblings. I’m an active puppy and so is my cattle breed, so I’ll need plenty of activity, training and adventures! In between, snuggling with me is a must! Ophelia is estimated to be 4.5 months old and 18 lbs. Since we don’t know the dog’s actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested. If you are interested in meeting this dog please complete the adoption application on our website at http://www.safehandsrescue.org under Adopt and then we can contact you about setting up a meeting. We are also holding the following upcoming adoption events! Story
Welcome Willy to CCPAL Rescue. Willie is a 4.5 month old 30 pound Border Collie mixed pup. He is proably going to be a 55 to 60 pound adult. He is smart, good in a crate, good in a car and very affectionate. He currently is in foster care of a farm and he gets along well with other dogs and cats. He is not good with free range chickens. He is learning his potty manners and is already neutered and has all vaccines. He is healthy and ready for his forever home. He would be great with someone that loves the breed. He is a mix so doesn’t have all the qualities of the BC but he is smart, attentive and affectionate. He is decent on a leash and would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He isn’t as high energy as the pure bred Border Collie but he is a average playful puppy. An active family wanting a nice young companion to join your family would be best. Another playful dog would be good or a large yard for him to play in. He is currently in Texas and can find a local adopter. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states.Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Welcome Lilly to CCPAL Rescue Foster Program. Lilly is a 4.5 month old 30 pound Border Collie mixed pup. She is probably going to be a 55 to 60 pound adult. She is smart, good in a crate, good in a car and very affectionate. She has gorgeous markings and her face looks like she has eyeliner. She has more floppy upright ears than her her brother. She currently is in foster care of a farm and he gets along well with other dogs and cats. She is not good with free range chickens. Story
Lady is a true country dog at heart trapped in the city. She would be best suited in a home with plenty of room to run and explore. She is a 3 year old Red Heeler and McNabb Shepherd mix. Her breed can typically run 25 miles a day. She loves playing fetch for as long as humanly possible. She will wow you with her speed and agility in her pursuits. Her singular desire is to be your companion. If working from home, she will find a quiet spot to rest as she eagerly awaits the return of your attention. She will gladly snuggle while watching a show together. She does well with cats and children, knows many basic commands, and is kennel trained. The downside, Lady barks, a lot; again not as much of an issue in the country, but in the city is another thing. She responds to verbal redirection fairly well. She can be overbearing when she plays with other dogs. She has the ability to jump a 6 foot privacy fence, however she has never run off. Typically she will just sit at the front door
