Brynlee would love to snuggle and keep you company! Do you like to go for a jog? Brynlee will keep up with you! Do you have a dog at home that wants some puppy love or a fetch partner? Brynlee would love to be a sister! We have been lucky to foster Brynlee for a few months now. She came as quite a nervous and anxious girl but once she builds trust she is such a fun, playful & loving pup! Brynnlee enjoys other dogs, whether it is playing tug, wrestling, chasing in the yard, or just lying side by side. She enjoyed sunbathing on our deck this summer and was fascinated by all the bugs in our yard - she is such a silly cutie! She has a great mix of personality - lazy and energetic. She is kennel trained, it is a great safe space for her. She sits and waits for meal time and is getting better at recall in the yard. She still needs work on leash walking. (Brynn is a strong girl & has many questions about the outdoor world yet!) Brynnlee needs a family that will be patient and continue to lead her! Schedule a meet and greet with this peanut!    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.   or     *The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person!  If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called "cute" as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification! We do not accept personal checks. Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.   //

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Leo already went through a lot in his short time of life. He was living alone in a coal mine, being fed once a week by a security guard there. Needless to say, he was extremely underweight and tick infested. A Good Samaritan stepped up and took him in before something bad could happen to him. Unfortunately, the Good Samaritan wasn’t allowed to have dogs in her home and couldn’t keep him. That is how this special guy ended up with us. It is amazing how affectionate and loving Leo is after these poor experiences. He is not food aggressive or possessive with toys. He loves to share with his furry friends and enjoys a good game of tug of war. He loves to play with his dog friends outside just running around. He’s not much into playing fetch yet and does well on his potty training. He rides well in the car and seems to be intimidated by cats. He is a little skittish with loud noises, but who can blame him. We are working on leash manners. He loves people and loves to hang out on the couch and touch his humans. He is pretty submissive and rolls on his back right away when you offer pets. There are no small children in her foster home, but I think he would be fine as long as they are respectful to his personal space. He is not very barky. At night he sleeps in his kennel and is quiet until it’s time to get up.   Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $525.00  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 1, 2023, 9:46 pm

Story
Sweetie is a "Sweet Senior" pup.  She has been good with other dogs, but would prefer the dogs to be low key, she does'nt have the time or need to play around with roudy dogs. Sweetie lives with cats, and she is great with them.  Walks are great, she loves them, and is good on a leash.  She may have some gray, and her odometer may give her the apearance that she is slow, but don't be fooled, she loves to go for a zoom in the yard a few times, but then is ready to call it a day! Potty trained, house trained, no need for a kennel for this girl. She knows how to behave in the house. ##1749342##

Story
Meet Diamond, a brave explorer, who does great in new environments, tolerates loud noises, and can play hard with friends or chill quietly with a toy. This guy is smart, calm, curious, and sweet. He learns fast and already has basic commands down. He is food motivated, but also likes to please his people, so training him is no problem. Diamond also boasts an adorable smile that melts hearts, but he doesn't like to be caught smiling on camera, so you'll have to meet him to see it.  Diamond is perfect in his kennel which is so helpful when he is unsupervised. He does great alone with a chew during the day while his people are away. He will let you know when he needs to go out, but otherwise doesn't make a peep.  ##1777703##

Story
Grizzle is an active and sweet 10-year old Sheltie/Border Collie mix looking to be picked to be a part of your family.    Grizzle slaloms through the stalks of a corn maze, and creates crop circles in the backyard when he has the zoomies. He was born for agility, but ready always to be wherever his humans are. After a good walk he will happily roll over for some belly rubs before he finds a warm autumn sunbeam to nap under.    Grizzle has done well with other pups in the patch, but has not yet met a cat or young kids so we cannot say whether the pairings will be ripe for friendship or whither on the vine.    Grizzle does have minor separation anxiety that manifests through barking, so no shared walls for this pup. He has impressive air when he jumps paired with a hobby of hunting squirrels which means he will either need a 6-foot-tall fence or to be leashed at all times while outside.  Grizzle is looking for a home filled with patience as he continues his leash training, calm routine to help him build confidence and a companion willing to allow him to share their lives together in all seasons. If you have fallen for Grizzle apply to meet him at https://www.rescuecrew.org/adoption-request-forms1.html ##1802558##

Henry is an amazing and friendly boy. He loves everyone. He’s very very smart and loves to make you happy. He’s adored and was trained at Your Dog’s Best Friend. Which approaches training YOU rather than your dog. An owner who teaches through love not anger. He needs a simple firm voice for any behavior. He is allergic to chicken so eats a fish based diet. He LOVES his bed and it will be best to send with him. We are sad to see him go. We want someone who loves him.

Story
Welcome Hamilton to CCPAL Foster Program. Hamilton is a 10-month-old Border Collie/Miniature Pinscher mixed dog. He weighs about 25 pounds. He may fill out some but shouldn’t be much taller. He has the Border Collie colors but a shorter coat. He is very attentive and he currently is in foster care with 3 children and other dogs. He is the more dominant boy in the group. He has long legs and will be able to keep a good stride. He is moderately vocal and would be best in a home without shared walls. He is fine in a car and is crated and did fine. He is good with other dogs and kids. We like all children to be 8 or older even though he successfully lives with a smaller child now. He would be best in an active home and would be fine with another dog. He will be neutered soon and get his vaccines and be ready for his forever home. We would like someone who has had a working breed even if he is on 50% Border Collie. He will be a great walking or jogging partner and has long legs to help keep stride. We don’t see any of the herding tendencies yet but he may have some of those. People love the Border Collie Breed so we think he will get lots of interest and applications. Please put in an application and we will get back with you. What you see in the video is exactly the way this precious dog behaves regularly. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport fee is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. I’m doing real good at potty training and can typically hold it and sleep through the night. But I do still have accidents as I’m still a puppy.
