Odin is a 6 year old, neutered male black bi Australian Shepherd. He is 37 pounds, housebroke, good with cats, and likes people. He does pull on leash some, is well mannered in the house and can sit, down and shake. Odin is currently living in a foster with 6 other dogs with no issues. Odin was a transfer from a shelter in Iowa due to the fact that he has issues with body handling and needed some work in cooperative care to get him comfortable with grooming and vet visits. His foster has worked on muzzle training and desensitizing him to brushing. Odin is very treat motivated and loves his training sessions on the grooming table. All grooming except nail trimming can now be done with no drama. The details: Needs fence: no, has a great recall Good with dogs: yes, actively avoids conflict in house with 6 other dogs. Good with cats: yes Good with kids: Older kids would be fine. All of our dogs live in foster homes with volunteers. DOB 2/1/26; currently about 30# and will probably get to be 45-50#s, best guess. She is the most adorable puppy EVER! She is enthusiastic & confident; curious & playful; and very smart. She has almost mastered walking on a leash and she is good in her crate. She loves car rides. She is mostly quiet in the kennel, except when she needs to do her business! She loves people and dogs of All sizes and ages. Because she is young, we don’t recommend very young children be around her. In her puppy playfulness, she would probably knock the little ones down. Curious, interested in cats but not aggressive. Loves treats so she will be easy to train. She plays with the rope toy or stick with you, but she does not return it yet. She definitely acts goofy when she plays but also loves to snuggle in your lap. This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. Percy is doing SO well, and we honestly can’t believe how much he has changed in such a short time. When Percy first came to us, he was a very scared 4-year-old Border Collie. Because of his unfortunate past, he was especially fearful of men and would even become nervous when I simply walked into the room. But with patience, love, and a little time, Percy is discovering that he is safe. Today, Percy sits beside me, happily lets me pet him, and even gives me the sweetest hugs and kisses. He now gives both me and my wife plenty of love and affection. He is also becoming much more comfortable with our adult dog but has so many feelings he doesn't know how to handle them sometimes and this can be overwhelming to him. Because of this he would do better in a home with no dogs, but he would love company of a cat or two. He also has been wonderful around our grandson. Percy is an incredibly smart, energetic boy who absolutely LOVES to play ball and run in the yard. He also happens to be the best dog on a leash we have ever fostered! It has been amazing to watch this scared dog slowly come out of his shell and show us the loving, playful personality that was there all along. We know Percy is going to be so excited when he finally finds his forever family. We truly hope there is someone out there who will give Percy the loving, patient forever home he deserves. He has so much love to give and is ready to continue his journey toward a forever home. Prednisone is just a baby and is not yet house or crate trained. This is something his new family will need to work on with his. He does not currently live with kids, and we do not know if he’s ever seen a cat. Koda is a 3 year old, 45 pound, neutered male aussie with a sordid list of offenses from two prior homes - really the kind of behaviors that made us think we would not be adopting this dog out. Legal note required by our lawyer if we had one: (details will be fully shared with interested adopters but we prefer not to make allegations public since he has not been convicted by a court of law - ). We will say that it involves rowdy neighbor children and goats and chickens (RIP cluckers)- a very sordid story indeed. BUT.... then he came to a foster home and has been good as gold the entire 2 months he has been here.... including around sheep and chickens. We have nothing - we don't know why he has reformed. So if you also think that this is the cutest dog you have ever seen and are willing to take on a reformed criminal, please ask us about Koda. Koda is crate trained, good on a leash, has a great recall and is off leash outside in a rural setting (including around free range chickens) and loves attention and his tennis ball. He does have some stranger danger but warms up fast.
