💜 Come meet me at our Adoption Event at Trove Brewing in Burnsville on Saturday, 4/4 from 2:00pm - 4:00pm! 💚 🐾 Meet Brit 💖 📍 Age: 4 years ⚖️ Weight: 28 lbs 🐾 Breed: Border Collie 🐶 Dog Friendly: Yes 🐱 Cat Friendly: Unknown 👶 Kid Friendly: Yes, but adult-only home preferred 🚽 Potty Trained: Yes, good on a schedule 🏠 Crate Trained: Does well being left loose in the house when left alone 🌳 Fenced Yard: Yes, physical fence required 🦴 Training: Leash trained, rides well in the car 🏡 Best Home Fit: adults-only household, apartment-friendly, and great companion for seniors Brit is an easygoing, calm presence who’s ready to settle into a peaceful, loving home. After navigating life on her own, she’s learned to appreciate the simple things: a soft place to nap, some gentle attention, and a safe spot to lounge inside or out. She’ll greet you at the door with a wagging tail, but she’s not demanding—she comes to you when she wants affection and is content to snooze the day away. On walks, Brit is a dream. She stays right by your side at any pace and enjoys exploring the world calmly and confidently. She tolerates other dogs and does well with children, but her happiest life will be with a calm fur sibling in a quiet adult home. Brit recently had one eye removed after an unfortunate porcupine encounter, but she’s recovering beautifully and has shown zero aggression toward other animals while in care. 💵 Adoption Fee: $495

Story
Hi, my name is Harlan and I am from Arkansas! This is Harlan, the sweetest and most gentle dog. He’s extremely well-behaved, easygoing, and incredibly lovable. Harlan has a mellow personality and enjoys lounging outside and relaxing by your side. While he’s mostly calm and sleepy, he’ll occasionally spring into action with playful bursts of energy, especially if he spots a squirrel. He can be a bit shy, but with a little patience and time, his affectionate, playful, and loyal personality will shine through. He loves being around his people and will quickly become a devoted companion. Harlan isn’t the biggest fan of being left home alone or going on car rides, but with patience, time, and some training, these behaviors can likely improve.

Story
Jinx is a 10 year old border collie looking for a home where he can stay busy and challanged. He is smart, intense and has a high drive He needs a home with experience and interest in training. He is a very sweet boy who loves to snuggle as much as play! He is very loyal and wants to please his people. He is housebroken and crate trained. This boy loves to play fetch and can spend hours pushing balls around the yard! Jinx has lived with many dogs and has done well with most, but can be selective. He may do best as an only dog. He is not good with cats. Jinx is neutered, vaccinated, heart worm negative, and microchipped. Jinx is not an easy dog, but he will be an amazing friend to the right family! Jinx is a courtesy post, please do not contact MUSHR but instead email his foster owner at megwagner@hotmail.com and include some information about your family. Jinx is fostered outside of the metro area, you must be willing to travel to meet him.

Story
Acorn is a 10-week-old Border Collie mix and a very fast learner! Weighing in at 9 lbs now, he’s already showing how smart and eager to learn he is.He already knows how to sit and is learning to come when called. Acorn thrives on praise and treats, so training is a breeze. He’s going potty outside during the day and keeping his crate clean, though he may still use a pad overnight. He’s also starting to see the crate as his own safe space. He'll give a little whine when he’s ready for cuddles or when he needs a potty break!Acorn is great with other dogs and currently lives with two cats, not paying them much attention. He also does well with children.Acorn is full of playful puppy energy. He loves chew toys, squeaky toys, and a good game of fetch. As a Border Collie mix, he’ll benefit from regular exercise and mental stimulation to keep his sharp mind busy and happy.Acorn would do best in a home where he gets plenty of interaction, guidance, and playtime as he continues to grow and learn. If you’re looking for a smart, sweet, and playful companion, Acorn is ready for you!If you are interested in Acorn, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $550. Story
Clover is a 10-week-old sweetheart who loves to snuggle! At just 9 lbs, she is already showing what a loving companion she’ll be, absolutely loving being held and would happily snuggle in your arms all day if she could!Clover is doing great with house training for her age. She goes outside frequently and uses potty pads when needed. She’s also crate-trained and will nap and sleep on and off in her crate. While she may cry a bit when she wants attention (typical puppy behavior), she settles down well and just wants to feel safe and loved. She’s curious and quietly observant around other dogs, and she loves kids, happily soaking up attention from everyone she meets. She doesn't have experience with cats, so a proper introduction is recommended.Playful and affectionate, she plays hard and naps hard! Clover enjoys mini stuffed squeaky toys, followed by long, cozy naps. She’s a little shadow who loves to sit between your feet and stay close by. Clover would thrive in a home ready for all the fun and learning that comes with a young puppy. With her sweet personality and cuddly nature, she’s sure to grow into an incredibly loyal and loving companion. If you are interested in Clover, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $550. Story
Farmer is an 11-week-old Border Collie mix and a pretty chill pup! At around 12 pounds now, he’s in that perfect squishy, playful puppy stage.Farmer is already crate-trained and doing great with it—he’ll even wander in on his own to relax with the door open. He’s also well on his way with house-training and just needs a bit more consistency to fully master it. He handles alone time well and is especially excited to greet you when you get home, tail wags guaranteed. He has met other dogs and doesn't usually react very much, and has done really well with neighbor kids. He does not have experience with cats.Farmer loves romping around with other dogs (especially his sister and resident pup). When he plays, he does the cutest little “air chomp”, biting at nothing with tiny snapping sounds that will absolutely make you laugh. He’s also a fan of Kong toys and enjoys short bursts of energy. Once he’s gotten his wiggles out, he’s more than happy to curl up in his crate or puppy bed for a cozy nap. Farmer would thrive in a home ready for puppy life, continued training, playtime, and lots of love. As a Border Collie mix, he’ll grow into a smart, active companion, so a family excited to engage his brain and energy will be a great fit.If you’re looking for a sweet, silly, and snuggly puppy to grow up with your family, Farmer is ready to plant himself right in your heart. If you are interested in Farmer, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $550. Story
Meet Jackson 🐾 Jackson is a striking Australian Shepherd/Blue Heeler mix born in 2017 with a big personality and an even bigger heart for the right person. He’s an intelligent, high-drive “alpha” type who thrives best as the only pet in the home, where he doesn’t have to compete for attention. Jackson can be the jealous type and prefers a calm, adult household without children, as busy environments can make him uneasy. He especially bonds well with women, who have a wonderfully calming effect on him and help him feel safe and secure. This loyal guy does best with an experienced dog owner who understands working breeds and can provide structure, consistency, and mental stimulation. In return, Jackson offers devotion, companionship, and a deep one-on-one bond that’s truly special. If you’re looking for a smart, loyal companion and can offer a quiet home where Jackson can be your one and only, he may be the perfect match for you. ************************************************ Fine Print: All dogs of NWMNAR are screened at the headquarters in Ada, Mn until they are vetted. Story
Meet Sammy! This beautiful 2 yr old blue eyed girl is an Australian Shepherd x Klee Kai. Sammy came into rescue via divorce and her owner having to find a new place to live. Sammy was supposed to complete her certification to become an emotional support dog. She is one of the sweetest girls here at the rescue waiting for her furever home! Sammy walks beautifully on a leash, however, does not have recall and with her Alaskan Klee Kai in her she would love to run and run. A fenced yard is a mandatory necessity, and on a leash when outside of her home. Sammy is still learning how to ride in vehicles without being scared. While she is calm in a travel kennel, she does tend to drool. With time and practice she should become an expert rider. Sammy is spayed, will be up to date on vaccinations prior to adoption, and is microchipped. Fine Print: All dogs of NWMNAR are screened at the headquarters in Ada, Mn until they are vetted.
