Potty trained: Yes Crate trained: Yes when I can see other dogs **NEEDS ANOTHER CONFIDENT DOG IN THE HOME AND A FENCED YARD**  Hi there! I’m Addie, and I am the sweetest little girl you’ll ever meet! I didn’t have the easiest start to life, so I’m nervous of new people at first, but I warm up after I realize I’m home and safe. Boy oh boy, do I looooove to cuddle, and I like pets and scritches. I really want to be loved, so please take a chance on me, even though I’m scared at first! I need another dog in my home to teach me how to be confident. I absolutely LOVE my doggo foster brother and playing with him, so I would love nothing more than having another pup that wants to run around with me. Because of my fears, I'll need a securely fenced yard to live my happiest life, and you'll see a different side of me when I'm outside playing! I’m doing really well walking on leash, but I get scared of new people that are on the sidewalk too, but once they pass, I’m super happy again! I am potty trained on a schedule when you're home with me, but I can also keep my kennel clean for a work day.  Because I’m a border collie, I do sometimes get a little nippy trying to herd you, but that only happens if I’m really excited. I think that once I'm comfortable with you, I would be really great at agility or other training too, so feel free to put my border collie abilities to the test! I get really scared by sudden, loud noises and fast movements, so I would do best in a home without little kids. Other than that, I just want all the loving I can get from other dogs and adults! Will you be my new family? Adoption Fee: $595  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.INTERESTED IN MEETING ME? Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Leo already went through a lot in his short time of life. He was living alone in a coal mine, being fed once a week by a security guard there. Needless to say, he was extremely underweight and tick infested. A Good Samaritan stepped up and took him in before something bad could happen to him. Unfortunately, the Good Samaritan wasn’t allowed to have dogs in her home and couldn’t keep him. That is how this special guy ended up with us. It is amazing how affectionate and loving Leo is after these poor experiences. He is not food aggressive or possessive with toys. He loves to share with his furry friends and enjoys a good game of tug of war. He loves to play with his dog friends outside just running around. He’s not much into playing fetch yet and does well on his potty training. He rides well in the car and seems to be intimidated by cats. He is a little skittish with loud noises, but who can blame him. We are working on leash manners. He loves people and loves to hang out on the couch and touch his humans. He is pretty submissive and rolls on his back right away when you offer pets. There are no small children in her foster home, but I think he would be fine as long as they are respectful to his personal space. He is not very barky. At night he sleeps in his kennel and is quiet until it’s time to get up.   Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $525.00  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 27, 2023, 11:23 pm

Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person!  If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called "cute" as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification! Completion of an Adoption Application via our website www.midwestanimalrescue.org is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in our adoption process.  *Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.  Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.   //

Disclaimer: I'm currently soaking up the Texas sun, but the great news is that I can be transported to my forever home once adopted, and the transport fee is $230.My journey began when I was surrendered, along with my four precious puppies, because my family couldn't provide the care I needed. I'm a bundle of energy and an incredible jumper! My foster mom thinks I have all the potential to excel in agility training courses. While I absolutely adore the company of other dogs, I'm not a fan of being on my own, so a home with a calmer dog would be a perfect fit to help me settle. I'm a social butterfly who cherishes my human companions and still carries that puppy-like spirit in my heart. In my previous home, I was raised alongside three children, aged 8 to 16, so I'm sure to thrive in an energetic family environment. If you're looking for a furry friend who's ready to embark on adventures with you, look no further. Apply today and let's make a fantastic team!*Disclaimer: This pet is located in Texas. Once adoption is finalized the pet will be transported to the adopters location for an additional fee (currently $230-$250).* The adoption fee helps to cover some of the cost of vetting the animal prior to adoption (spay/neuter, microchipping, and up to date vaccinations). Please fill out an adoption application to be considered for adoption. https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41

Story
Hi! My name is Acoe and I am from Missouri. Acoe is a very sweet puppy who loves pets, cuddling and naps on your lap. He has lots of love to give, sometimes a little excessively. He is very curious, wanting to explore and see everything, but does get frightened. He is working on his bravery and could use help continuing to explore the world. As with all puppies, Acoe needs close supervision as he likes to chew on everything. With proper chew toys, guidance and time, he will learn how to channel his energy and teething needs. He has very few accidents in the house (!) but we have kept a consistent schedule because he hasn't learned how to tell us he needs to go. Acoe can hold it consistently for about 5 hours but as he learns a new environment more frequent let outs would be helpful for his success. He sleeps in his crate at night. When there is movement or noise around him while he is crated, he will whine but otherwise does quite well. Acoe has not been very vocal at all yet, only barked a few times when trying to play. He needs training and support but has the potential to be an amazing companion and addition to your home. He has been getting along okay with the resident dog but hasn't learned boundaries or how to read other dogs quite yet. If he is going into a home that already has a dog, he would do best with a tolerant dog who is willing to help him learn the ropes.

Story
Hi! My name is Scoob Or I go by Scooby too! I came from KY with my mom and two brothers. This sweet little ball of energy will brighten anyone's day. He is currently working on leash training, and loves to greet anyone on the block (dogs or humans). He definitely has puppy energy, so would be perfect for someone who could take him for long walks, or has a backyard he can run around in. For being a puppy he's very curious but is a fast learner. Scoob has been doing great going outside and letting us know by sitting by the door, but will still have some accidents. He is doing well with crate training overnight and intermittently throughout the day. His ideal home would be in a house, due to some barking tendency's. He is currently is living with another dog, but loves to be the star of the show. Scoob is looking for his furever home filled with lots of love and attention.

Story
Hi! My name is Daphne and I am from Kentucky. Hi! I'm Daphne. My foster parents say I am a sweet love bug who wants to give you all the kisses and cuddles. I am quiet in the house and love to nap, but will play with toys if they're around. I enjoy walks around the neighborhood, but am working on my confidence outside. Sometimes (OK, a lot of the time) cars, people, and other dogs are scary so I bark at them. My foster brother is very chill and is helping me learn not everything needs to be barked at and I am getting much better! Other than this one quirk, my foster parents say I am perfect. I am a pretty quiet girl inside though where I feel much more relaxed. I am crate trained and house trained. My foster parents leave me out when they leave the house and I don't get into things. I have been a little sassy with my foster brother on occasion (low growl if I'm not expecting him to be in my space), but 99% of the time want him to my friend.

Hi! My name is Freddie and I am from Kentucky. From his foster: He doesn't bark as much only when he needs something. He likes to lay down and relax while playing with his toys. He gets random energy boosts and runs around. He enjoys going on walks. He does tend to bite and nibble on things. He likes meeting new people.

Story
Hi! My name is Shaggy and I am from Kentucky. Sweet Shaggy made his way from Kentucky to Minnesota with his mom (Daphne) and two brothers (Fred and Scoob) in mid-November. Since arriving in his MN foster home, he's certainly grown in all ways. His comfort, confidence, and rotund little body. For being a little guy, he sure does move quick. In typical herding-breed fashion, he also enjoys being chased, chasing others, and some good rough and tumble playtime. Shaggy has been doing great going outside on a schedule, and is doing well with crate training overnight and intermittently throughout the day. His ideal home will be one that is committed to working with him to be a smart, confident, and well behaved boy as he continues to grow. Someone who is up for long walks, socialization, and a lifetime of love and laughs would be a great fit for Shaggy!

These pups are in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota too!

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Willow is a very sweet Aussie mix female, about 10-11 mos old and as tender hearted as can be. She is about 24 lbs. She did come to us undersocialized, and she is the classic undersocialized dog, who will need to live with another dog for comfort and support. She will make progress, but patience is needed. She seeks most of her security from another dog but will incrementally trust with kindness and stability. Willow is looking for that person or family that "gets" her, "gets" the undersocialized dog and allows/enables them to grow. If you are interested, let us know. Interested in fostering, fostering to adopt or adopting?
