She is the only pup that will howl or whine once placed in her xpen. It only last a couple mins but she is expressing her displeasure.  She is usually found digging in her digging box, chasing leaves or playing with her squeaky toys. I didn’t have the easiest start to life, so I’m nervous of new people at first, but I warm up after I realize I’m home and safe. Boy oh boy, do I looooove to cuddle, and I like pets and scritches. I really want to be loved, so please take a chance on me, even though I’m scared at first! I need another dog in my home to teach me how to be confident. I absolutely LOVE my doggo foster brother and playing with him, so I would love nothing more than having another pup that wants to run around with me. Because of my fears, I'll need a securely fenced yard to live my happiest life, and you'll see a different side of me when I'm outside playing! I’m doing really well walking on leash, but I get scared of new people that are on the sidewalk too, but once they pass, I’m super happy again! He was living alone in a coal mine, being fed once a week by a security guard there. Needless to say, he was extremely underweight and tick infested. A Good Samaritan stepped up and took him in before something bad could happen to him. Unfortunately, the Good Samaritan wasn’t allowed to have dogs in her home and couldn’t keep him. That is how this special guy ended up with us. It is amazing how affectionate and loving Leo is after these poor experiences. He is not food aggressive or possessive with toys. He loves to share with his furry friends and enjoys a good game of tug of war. He loves to play with his dog friends outside just running around. He’s not much into playing fetch yet and does well on his potty training. He rides well in the car and seems to be intimidated by cats. He is a little skittish with loud noises, but who can blame him. We are working on leash manners. He loves people and loves to hang out on the couch and touch his humans. He is pretty submissive and rolls on his back right away when you offer pets. There are no small children in her foster home, but I think he would be fine as long as they are respectful to his personal space. He is not very barky. At night he sleeps in his kennel and is quiet until it’s time to get up.   Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Hi! My name is Acoe and I am from Missouri. Acoe is a very sweet puppy who loves pets, cuddling and naps on your lap. He has lots of love to give, sometimes a little excessively. He is very curious, wanting to explore and see everything, but does get frightened. He is working on his bravery and could use help continuing to explore the world. As with all puppies, Acoe needs close supervision as he likes to chew on everything. With proper chew toys, guidance and time, he will learn how to channel his energy and teething needs. He has very few accidents in the house (!) but we have kept a consistent schedule because he hasn't learned how to tell us he needs to go. Acoe can hold it consistently for about 5 hours but as he learns a new environment more frequent let outs would be helpful for his success. He sleeps in his crate at night. When there is movement or noise around him while he is crated, he will whine but otherwise does quite well. Acoe has not been very vocal at all yet, only barked a few times when trying to play. He needs training and support but has the potential to be an amazing companion and addition to your home. He has been getting along okay with the resident dog but hasn't learned boundaries or how to read other dogs quite yet. If he is going into a home that already has a dog, he would do best with a tolerant dog who is willing to help him learn the ropes.

My foster brother is very chill and is helping me learn not everything needs to be barked at and I am getting much better! Other than this one quirk, my foster parents say I am perfect. I am a pretty quiet girl inside though where I feel much more relaxed. I am crate trained and house trained. My foster parents leave me out when they leave the house and I don't get into things. I have been a little sassy with my foster brother on occasion (low growl if I'm not expecting him to be in my space), but 99% of the time want him to my friend.

She is about 24 lbs. She did come to us undersocialized, and she is the classic undersocialized dog, who will need to live with another dog for comfort and support. She will make progress, but patience is needed. She seeks most of her security from another dog but will incrementally trust with kindness and stability.
