Location: Rosemount, MN Are you a hugger? Me too! I give the bestest hugs you will ever receive Do you like to snuggle on the couch under a warm blanket with a bowl of popcorn and watch movies? Seriously? No way, me too! I just love hanging out with my foster family. Little kids, my adults and other dogs are the best . The cats are even cheering me on as I look for my very own forever home! Ok, so those little hissy girls don't really like to play with me but, can you blame me for trying? I mean afterall I am still a young pup at just a year old myself. I'm a good girl and just want to have some fun. Oh and did I mention how smart I am? Do you like making secret paw shakes? Me too!!! Let's meet up and create our very own. We can work on it together for many amazing years to come! Love, Opal ----- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (Distemper, Rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration). Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are a best guess.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. To speed up the adoption process, please complete our Pre-Adoption Application. Hi there, I'm Faber! I am 3 years old, and weigh 66 lbs. I was running as a stray before I came to rescue. I got a long with all the people and all the dogs.I’m a very sweet guy. Very easy going and laid back. And oh-so-curious. I love exploring and learning new things - you could say I'm pretty smart. I'm also friendly, which means I get along great with other dogs. Big or small. My goofy side is always ready to make you laugh! When I see my favorite people walk into the room, I am the biggest butt wiggler in all the lands! But I’m also mellow enough to enjoy a good cuddle session. I'm loyal and gentle, always ready to be by your side. I'm pretty funny, if I do say so myself, and I'm always up for a game of fetch. But my most favorite thing in the entire world – is going for walks! I walk great on a leash, so we can explore together.I am neutered, vaccinated, health checked, dewormed, and micro-chipped. Adoption Fee: $550 +taxes/feesIf you would like to meet me please fill out a pre-adoption application at www.tailsrescue.orgHappy Tails Adoption Center is open on Sundays from 12-5pm. We are located at 7331 Baker St NE, Fridley. Dogs are at events based on the availability of their foster family. Please fill out a pre-adoption application so we know you are interested in meeting/adopting one of our animals. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.The breeds of our dogs and cats are a 'best guess.' We often do not know what mix they are and have to base it on what we think they look like, and base it on breeds often found in the area they came from. Most of our dogs who have gotten DNA tests done are 4-10 breeds mixed together. Because their breed mix is a guess we cannot guarantee a 'full grown size' of many of our younger animals.Interested in adopting me? Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Wranger, a brave and playful puppy who's on a journey to find his forever home in Minnesota! Wranger's story began as a semi-feral puppy, where he faced challenges but has since blossomed into a loving and affectionate companion. Wranger's journey to trust and love has been remarkable. Initially shy and cautious, he has learned to embrace cuddles and affection. He adores toys and treats, responding eagerly to commands and showing off his good manners. With patience and understanding, Wranger's new family will have the joy of earning his trust and witnessing his loving nature shine. In his daily routine, Wranger enjoys spending time outdoors, exploring his surroundings, and playing with his canine companions. He thrives on interaction and would benefit from a playful companion who can match his energy. Wranger's ideal home would be one where he has plenty of toys, love, and attention, along with a patient and understanding family who can continue to nurture his growth. Wranger is a sweetheart who's ready to bring endless love and happiness into his new home. If you're looking for a loyal and affectionate companion, Wranger could be the perfect match for you! Wranger is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 5/17/2024 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 9am and noon. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame.  Since they haven’t arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Click here to learn more about the FTA program. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start’s veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about Ruff Start’s adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our How to Adopt page. *Rescue puppies are notorious for losing their birth certificates before entering our rescue. We cannot guarantee the breed or size they will be full grown.* If you'd like to donate towards this pet's care, you can donate to our Animal Care Fund. Our Animal Care Fund supports the medical and veterinary needs for all Ruff Start Rescue animals. You'll be able to enter this pet's name on the second page of the donation form. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Muffincup is a beautiful, happy girl with a true zest for life. She is sweet, cuddly, and affectionate, and she gives the best kisses and hugs. Muffincup is also curious, playful and energetic. She still has puppy energy and is working on learning manners. She is a smart girl who is eager to learn and would continue to flourish with ongoing training. Muffincup is an intelligent dog who is a quick learner and eager to please. She enjoys going on walks and is exceptionally well leash trained. Moreover, she behaves excellently on car rides and delights in playing in the snow. Muffincup also loves belly rubs and is known for her very friendly nature, as she adores everyone she meets! She is quite the devoted companion who loves to be near her people/pack. She is a good girl who deserves a very special family who will shower her with love and attention - could that be you? Muffincup weighs 34 pounds and is from Texas.   One big thing you should know is they are heartworm positive - but please don’t let that scare you away from adopting them! After they undergo treatment for their condition they will be completely healthy again, and heartworm is not a contagious disease. Because they need treatment, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) program. Click here to learn more about this program. They will get heartworm treatment at one of Ruff Start’s partner veterinary clinics in St. Cloud, so their foster will need to be comfortable getting them to and from the appointments. Treatment will consist of three injections: the first will be roughly 30 days after they enter rescue. Then, the second and third injections will happen 30 days after the first. When they are undergoing treatment, they should be on activity ‘restrictions’ which just means they should relax in their crate or cuddle with you.   Click here to learn more about heartworm disease, which is transmitted by mosquitoes. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about Ruff Start’s adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our How to Adopt page. Story
Chloe is a sweet, wonderful girl two year old border collie mix. She’s great with kids but would probably be best as the only dog in the home. There has been occasional aggression between her and our other dog and other dogs as well. We’re trying to rehome her because we had a surprise baby a year and a half ago and we recently moved to Minnesota and we just aren’t able to give her the home she deserves. We also don’t have a fenced in yard anymore and she hasn’t been able to be as active as she’s used to. She really is a great dog and it breaks our hearts to get rid of her but it’s for the best. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have about her. She has not been fixed yet and as of today her Distemper booster is due but hopefully we’ll be able to get that addressed soon.

Potty trained: Yes Crate trained: Yes when I can see other dogs **NEEDS ANOTHER CONFIDENT DOG IN THE HOME AND A PHYSICALLY FENCED YARD**  Hi there! I’m Addie, and I am the sweetest little girl you’ll ever meet! I didn’t have the easiest start to life, so I’m nervous about new people at first, but I warm up after I realize I’m home and safe. Boy, oh boy, do I looooove to cuddle, and I like pets and scritches. I'll even nudge your arm and hand for more pets! I really want to be loved, so please take a chance on me, even though I’m scared at first! I need another dog in my home to teach me how to be confident and to bond with. I absolutely LOVE my doggo foster brother and playing with him, so I would love nothing more than to have another pup that wants to run around with me. My dog friend being my best friend is so important for me to continue to live my best life. Because of my fears, I'll need a securely fenced yard to live my happiest life, and you'll see a different side of me when I'm outside playing! I am potty trained on a schedule when you're home with me, but I can also keep my kennel clean for a workday. My foster mom says I'm the easiest little girl because of my sweet demeanor and smarts. I keep myself busy with toys during the day when mom works, so I'd be a great companion for anyone who works from home!  Once I'm comfortable with you, I think I would be really great at agility or other training, too, so feel free to put my border collie abilities to the test! I get really scared by sudden, loud noises and fast movements, so I would do best in a home without little kids. Other than that, I just want all the loving I can get from other dogs and adults!
