Once she bonds with you, she’s a loyal little shadow who just wants to be part of your world. Nesta is also a sensitive and observant pup who is still learning to feel confident in the outside world. Busy or unpredictable environments can feel overwhelming for her right now, so she does best with calm, patient guidance and a structured approach. She’s not quite a “take everywhere” dog yet, but she has so much potential with the right support. At home, Nesta is a wonderful companion who enjoys relaxing near her people and settling in her crate when she needs a break which still needs some encouragement sometimes. She does well with visitors and other dogs after a warm-up period and may especially benefit from a confident, well-balanced dog in the home to help her feel more secure. He loves being around his people and the resident dog, and he’ll quietly follow you from room to room just to be part of the moment. Snuggles are his love language, and he’ll melt right into you for as long as you’ll let him. He enjoys short walks, a little playtime outside, and absolutely lives for car rides — especially when they end with a Caribou pup cup. He smiles the whole way home like he knows he just had the best treat in the world. At home, Roscoe sleeps peacefully on a dog bed in his foster mom’s room. He rarely barks (only if the resident dog starts the conversation), but he loves to “talk” to you when you come home — a happy, wiggly welcome committee who’s been watching out the window waiting for you. He’s easygoing, gentle, and wonderful with people of all ages. He doesn’t mind cats, loves other dogs, and has a calm, steady presence that makes him feel like an old friend from the moment you meet him. Roscoe’s back legs are a bit weaker these days, so he sometimes needs help with stairs and getting into or out of the car. He takes it all in stride with that same sweet, grateful energy he brings to everything. Nyx is the kind of dog who quietly works her way into your heart and never leaves. This almost-3-year-old, 40# Border Collie has the sweetest, most adoring personality. Her tail never stops wagging, especially when she’s near her favorite people... which is exactly where she always wants to be. Nyx is happiest being included in everyday life. Whether she’s lounging on the couch, quietly relaxing in the office while her person works, sitting outside on the patio, or joining you for a leisurely walk, she radiates calm companionship. She has a medium energy level with occasional happy bursts of excitement, but overall, she’s incredibly easy to live with. Watching Nyx blossom and discover “dog things” has been a pleasure. She’s learning to enjoy adventures, figuring out toys and did great at a quiet restaurant patio. She gains confidence with car rides and new experiences. Around the neighborhood, she meets kids and neighbors, encounters bikes and other traffic, and handles all the activity like a champ. Nyx gets along well with other dogs and cats in her foster home. She’s far more people-focused than dog-focused. She would thrive in almost any loving home as long as she has the opportunity to expand her horizons with continued socialization. She wants daily exercise like neighborhood walks and enjoys cuddles after a fun day. She’s comfortable in a crate, walks nicely on leash, and doesn’t require a fenced yard, though she she would enjoy having one (right now she isn't quite sure what to do in the yard but her independence is growing). Meet Jack, a young hearted 7-year-old, 45# Border Collie with the perfect blend of adventure buddy and cuddle companion wrapped in a lovable, fluffy package. He is a mature guy who has figured out the balance between having fun and time to relax. His foster family describes him as responsible, charismatic, loving, and endlessly positive: the kind of dog who wants to make his people smile. He’s a doof! Jack lives to be outside. The woods are his happy place, whether he’s romping with canine friends, stretching his legs on a run, or keeping an eye on squirrels to ensure they stay in their trees. If you love hiking, jogging or exploring trails, Jack will happily be your loyal sidekick. He’s also fantastic in the car and thinks road trips are one of life’s greatest joys.
