Story
Meet Hazel! A 4.5-year-old liver-spotted female Dalmatian with a heart as unique as her coat. This charming girl, who is deaf, has mastered a few hand signals like "come" and "sit," making communication a breeze. Hazel is unfazed by loud noises, peacefully sleeping through storms, fireworks, and doorbells. Hazel, located in Cherry Hill, NJ, is open to traveling to find her perfect forever family! House-trained and crate-trained, Hazel is a model canine companion. She thrives with daily walks that help ease her occasional anxious tendencies. During the day, she's the epitome of chill, content to follow you around and snuggle up on the couch. Hazel is a lover of attention, seeking cuddles and affection from her human family! Hazel has shown signs of aggression around small children, prompting a search for a home for her where she can thrive without that stress. She has been around older children and does well when they understand her need for space and gentle interactions. In a household with other pets, Hazel tends to be possessive, especially guarding her cherished spots and food bowl. For her optimal happiness, she would do best as the only pet in a loving home. Hazel is friendly with visitors, showcasing her sweet and sociable nature. Currently on anxiety medication, Hazel's sweet demeanor shines through. We hope that as she settles into her forever home, she can gradually reduce her reliance on medication. Hazel is also receiving treatment for pinnal vasculitis on her ears, possibly linked to a past rabies vaccine. With ongoing care, we anticipate her healing journey. This loving girl enjoys walks, snuggling, chewing bones, and playing with her favorite "pickle" toy—a bright green oval ball that bounces around, bringing her joy. Hazel is very loving to her "people" and adores snuggling on the couch or bed with them. Hazel would do best with a fenced-in yard, as she loves outdoor activities and walks. She is crate trained, vaccines are up to date, and she is spayed. Hazel, as a special needs pet, needs a patient and experienced family who can understand and support her unique needs, especially given her deafness, anxiety, and ongoing treatment for pinnal vasculitis. If you're ready to open your heart to this charming Dalmatian, Hazel is eagerly awaiting a loving family willing to provide the patience and care she deserves, whether in Cherry Hill, NJ, or beyond! If you have any questions about Hazel, please email adopt@joyfulpets.com!

Story
Meet Tanky! A magnificent Dogue de Bordeaux estimated to be around 5 years old, making him a playful and loving male! This large, brown beauty tips the scales at a solid 105.0 pounds, embodying the true spirit of his breed. Currently located in Pocono Summit, PA, Tank, or Tanky as we affectionately call him, is in search of his forever home and is more than willing to travel to find the perfect match. While Tanky exudes a playful nature, it's important to share that he has a history that includes an incident where he attacked another dog. In the spirit of transparency, we believe his future family must be aware of this event. It's essential to note that this one occurrence doesn't define Tanky entirely. In general, he is a friendly dog who requires a specific environment to thrive. We are seeking an adopter with experience in handling challenging dog behaviors. Tanky needs someone who can provide consistent training, supervision, and care to ensure he leads a safe and fulfilling life. Despite his past, Tanky is a dog with potential, waiting for the right family to guide him on the path to becoming the best version of himself! Tanky is good with young children, showcasing a gentle side that complements his more spirited moments. To facilitate his boundless energy and curiosity, Tanky requires a fenced yard, allowing him the freedom to explore and play safely. As a purebred Dogue de Bordeaux, Tanky brings a touch of elegance to his playful antics. His favorite activities include sniffing and running, making him an ideal partner for outdoor adventures! If you're ready for the rewarding challenge of welcoming Tanky into your life and providing the training and care he needs, you'll discover a loyal companion who brings joy and love into every day! Meet Mowgli! Mowgli is not your average pup; he's a bundle of energy and love waiting to find his forever home. This charming Jack Russell Terrier and Blue Heeler mix is 3 years old, weighs a sturdy 40 pounds, and hails from the vibrant city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Mowgli is on a quest to find a family that matches his zest for life. One look at Mowgli's profile, and it's clear that this guy is all about playtime. His eyes light up at the sight of his beloved Kong toy, and his enthusiasm knows no bounds when it comes to chew toys, squeaky toys, fetch, and a good old-fashioned game of chase. You'll never have a dull moment with Mowgli around! Mowgli's dream home is one where he can run freely, burn off that boundless energy, and receive the attention he craves. He's looking for a family that can commit to spending quality time with him and providing plenty of exercise. Whether it's a romp in the yard or a long walk in the park, Mowgli is ready for the adventure. In terms of health, Mowgli is up-to-date on all his shots, neutered, microchipped, and fully potty trained. However, his high energy levels have led him to be prescribed anti-anxiety medication, which helps him stay calm and relaxed. It's a small adjustment for the love and companionship he'll bring to your life. Mowgli may be searching far and wide for his perfect home, but one thing is certain: he's ready to give his heart to a loving family. If you have the space, time, and energy to match Mowgli's enthusiasm, he could be the loyal companion you've been looking for. So, whether you're in Philadelphia or beyond, consider opening your heart and home to Mowgli's boundless spirit. He's ready to embark on the adventure of a lifetime with you!

Brandi is a beautiful four year old mastiff mix. She is extremely loving to all people, but would prefer to be your only pet. She enjoys walking, car rides and meeting new people. Her ideal home would be with a family with older children, just because of her size and a fenced yard where she has room to run. She has no health issues, is medium level energy, housebroken, crate trained, spayed, heartworm negative and current on vaccines. Vet references and large breed experience a must.
