Story

We adopted Appa a bit over a year ago, as a puppy. He was born October 22, 2024. He is a sweet, smart dog. He has learned to sit, lay down, "place" (go lay down in a certain spot), stay (we are working to extend the time, but he can "stay" with reminders for almost a minute). Appa is 100% housetrained. We have 3 cats who he loves and is very gentle with. We have 2 children (tween & teen) whom he adores. Issues are in getting him leash trained. He is very distracted outside and pulls a lot on the leash. We do not have a yard, but I have taken him to a friend's fenced in yard and he loves it. He loves to play fetch. We are experiencing a shift in our family make up and now have only one adult, so can no longer provide the care he needs, thus are looking to rehome him. Appa would make a great pet for someone with a fenced in yard and time to spend indoors with him. He likes to be close to "his people".

Story

Appa is a very smart, loyal, quick to learn dog who loves to play fetch and tug. He is great at catching balls and frisbees, and loves to eat ice cubes. He has learned several commands inside the house - sit, laydown, wait, off, place. He is eager to please. Appa is fully housetrained. He does not do well on a leash... yet. He could learn to walk on a leash, but needs practice. Appa would do very well with a fenced yard for running and playing fetch. He is a great balance of fun and cuddling up beside his family.

Story

She is s a loving dog. She loves head scratches and running outside just like any other dog. She is a big breed and needs a lot of love, attention and training. She deserves a home that has time for her to grow and prosper. She was born some time in December ‘24 I’ve had her since March ‘25. She is still a puppy with a big heart. I have a busy schedule and she needs more time than I have for her right now. I moved, so I’ve had to work more to make ends meet. She deserves the whole world. She still has trouble making it outside on time to use the bathroom. She has accidents in her cage, but has been improving slowly. She gets along with other dogs, she is very playful. She gets along with my house cat. She’s just recently finding her “voice”. She’s now due for her rabies shot after a year. If anyone can provide the space, time, financial stability and training she needs please reach out. She needs a lot of help I haven’t been able to provide properly. Thank you.

Story

Harley is a great companion dog. He gets along well with other dogs and cats but would really prefer to be the "one and only". He probably won't do well with younger children. After breakfast, Harley enjoys his morning walks. He just loves the water and spends much of the summer in his kiddie pool. Harley is a senior rescue dog acquired about 5 years ago from Dakin Humane Society. His actual age is unknow but is at least 10 years. Harley loves to run around in his fenced in yard. He has unlimited access through his doggie door to the backyard. Unfortunately health issues as well as new to a "fixed" income have made it difficult to continue to care for Harley as he deserves. I am no longer able to take him on walks or to groom him as I once was. I am looking to rehome Harley so that he gets the love an care he needs.

She enjoys puzzles, hikes and cozy quality time.Luna has a history of behavioral issues but is very responsive to training. We're looking for an experienced adopter who can give her the care and structure she needs to thrive. She is 7 years old and 35lb and she has a very cute stubby tail.

Story

We had gotten Layla as a puppy. She is 3 years old. She loves to snuggle, she’s very calm and very much a couch potato until she is outside! She’s a fast learner. She’s always been able to go out in our fenced in yard. She has always been nervous walking down busy roads! She is good with larger dogs - just not while she eats! No small She likes her privacy. She’s good with my two cats and one is a wild kitten! She is good with older kids/teenagers but she is nervous with younger children as they’re unpredictable. She would do SO well as an only dog as she loves her attention and I just cannot provide all the attention she needs with my little one and now 3 of my step children in the house. We had rehomed her to a really lovely home but they are moving out of state and could not take her with them. I don’t want her going to a shelter so we took her back in for the time being. Layla is such a smart, loyal girl. I would really love to see her go to a home who would make her their world!
