Pip Squeak

Great Pyrenees

Male, 6 yrs 11 mos
Florence, MA
Size
(when grown) X-Large 101 lbs (46 kg) or more
Details
Not good with kids, Not good with dogs, Needs experienced adopter, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Seven year old Great Pyr. We've had him three. He is a very sweet affectionate dog with resource guarding issues. He needs an experienced owner willing to put time in with him. Not good with children. So-so with other dogs (can get pushy/dominant around medium to large dogs). Has bit over resource guarding and will likely again unless properly handled. Ideally goes to a home with one or two experienced owners looking for a sweet dog to help. He's beautiful and people always comment on how handsome he is. This is our last hope to keep him from being euthanized as he cannot stay here.
Photo of Niko

Niko

Coonhound (Unknown Type) Black Mouth Cur

Male, 1 yr 8 mos
Northampton, MA
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Good with dogs, Good with cats, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Niko is a year-and-nine months old, energetic, playful, and sporty hound mix. He hasn't had the easiest life as we rescued him from a local shelter where he had a hard time adjusting to the constant commotion. Once home, it became quickly apparent that he is a friendly and intelligent dog who likes to be one step ahead of everyone else. He would benefit from an adult human partner or two prepared to give him the guidance and consistency he needs. Niko would love a dog sibling or two and a fenced yard to play in. He is really a dog's dog. He gets along with cats as well. Niko would probably do best in a home without children or seniors. He would likely welcome an exercise partner and may even do well in agility or scent training. Unfortunately, we cannot have a fenced-in yard in our current living situation and the foot traffic in our large close-knit community often unsettles him.

Details

Story
Daisy is a sweet dog. She is friendly to people out and about and anyone I invite into the house but barks at the mailman and UPS truck. She loves to go for walks and will ignore other dogs on leashes. She may bark aggressively to some dogs who are on her property. She is friendly and playful to dogs she knows and loves. She can jump high so she needs a large backyard with a high fence or land. She loves to go for walks, sit in the sun and chew bones. She is good with kids.

Husky

Male, 1 yr 4 mos
Westfield, MA
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Good with dogs, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Teddy is ready to go home! Teddy was adopted from us in October of 2022 but was returned to us to the previous owner stated that he was having soiling accidents in the house. Since being back at the shelter (6/25), Teddy has not had one accident in his kennel. Teddy loves every human that he meets and good with other dogs. He is a sweet pup that needs basic manners training to help him to become a fantastic dog. Because Teddy likes to "talk", apartment living would not be fair to Teddy or neighbors. He is friendly, playful, and very high energy. Teddy loves to go walks and would be a great hiking partner for someone. The shelter staff love's Teddy and a hoping for the right family to take this sweet boy home. Prior purebred Siberian Husky experience is a plus, but not a deal breaker. Please do your research about this breed before applying for Teddy. Teddy is 1.2 years old, neutered, vaccinated, blood-tested, and microchipped.

Story
Charlie is intelligent, active, loving and just so damn pretty. His mother and I are separated and heading toward divorce and we have 4 other dogs that will require her attention and I will have to live in a place where I will not be able to take him AND wouldn't want him to be stuck in an apartment while I work. He has had alpha dog issues with our 10 yr old 70lb Pit and we need someone's help to continue loving him as much as we do. It breaks my heart and brings me to tears writing about him for the purpose of rehoming him. He has been my greatest comfort these past few months but my worst case scenario doesn't have to be his. He is just simply the best but a lil complicated too. Please, please, please help me and Charlie.
