Story
Ollie is an extremely sweet, goofy, energetic boy. He loves chasing squirrels, zooming around the yard, lounging outside in the sun, and pretending he’s a lap dog. He is somewhat high-strung and needs a calm home environment with lots of walks and outside time. He is food motivated and highly trainable. He knows basic commands and has had extensive leash training through Animal Alliances in Northampton. His trainer is willing to talk to potential adopters if desired. Ollie does not have an aggressive bone in his body, but he can be reactive with other dogs while on a leash. He may do well in a home with another dog if it’s the right fit. If you are an experienced dog owner with an active life and no kids at home (or responsible older kids), Ollie may be your future best friend!Health note: Ollie has had 2 surgeries to replace torn ACLs in both hind legs. This puts him at higher risk for arthritis as he gets older. He is currently 6 years old. He also takes a daily joint supplement.

Story
We adopted Appa a bit over a year ago, as a puppy. He was born October 22, 2024. He is a sweet, smart dog. He has learned to sit, lay down, "place" (go lay down in a certain spot), stay (we are working to extend the time, but he can "stay" for almost a minute). Appa is 100% housetrained. We have 3 cats who he loves and is very gentle with. We have 2 children (tween & teen) whom he adores. Issues are in getting him leash trained. He is very distracted outside and pulls a lot on the leash. He loves to play fetch. We recently had a trainer visit the house who said he was "very trainable and very smart" and just needs someone who can invest time. He would do well in a yard & do well with older kids.We are experiencing a shift in our family make up and now have only one adult, so can no longer provide the care he needs, thus are looking to rehome him. Appa would make a great pet for someone with a fenced in yard and time to spend indoors with him. He likes to be close to "his people".

Story
Appa is a very smart, loyal, quick to learn dog who loves to play fetch and tug. He is great at catching balls and frisbees, and loves to eat ice cubes. He has learned several commands inside the house - sit, laydown, wait, off, place. He is eager to please. Appa is fully housetrained. He does not do well on a leash... yet. We met with a trainer who said he is very smart and very trainable. We just don't have the capacity to do it. Appa would do very well with a fenced yard for running and playing fetch.
