Hi friends! I’m Emma! I’m a very cute and a very new face here at FDHS. I came in as a stray, so the humans don’t know much about my life before I arrived, but everyone here keeps telling me what a good girl I am! I have been LOVING the extra pets, treats, and attention from the staff here. I’m an upbeat, happy-go-lucky girl who LOVES sunshine, smiling, and pretty much everyone I meet. I’m also convinced that I’ve never met a stranger. Seriously, if you have hands, I would like to be your friend. I’ve been nothing but sweet and affectionate with the humans here, and I’m always happy to see them!I’ve been curious about the other dogs here! But the humans haven’t introduced me to any cats yet, so I'm not sure what I think of them. I do pull a little bit on my leash, so I’ll need some help brushing up on my manners. On the bright side, I do keep a nice, clean kennel and have been pretty respectful of my blanket and toys.This place is cool and all but I think I'm ready to find some humans of my very own!**Spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on vaccines & monthly prevention. Weighs about 60 lbs**

Bonita is a super cute spotted girlie who recently arrived at FDHS as a stray. Sadly, her owner never came forward to reclaim her, even though this isn’t her first time finding herself at the shelter. Bonita has been picked up running at large a few times, so there’s no denying that this girl has a serious wanderer’s spirit!Because of that, Bonita is going to need a home that can keep her safe, secure, and supervised. A securely fenced yard and a family committed to making sure she can’t go on another neighborhood adventure will be especially important for this free-spirited girl.Away from her adventurous ways, Bonita has been an absolute angel for our staff. She has lovely manners, walks beautifully on leash, and keeps a spotless kennel. She seems fairly indifferent to the other dogs she’s met here, although we always recommend slow, thoughtful introductions when bringing any new dog into the home. Cats, however, are NOT her thing. Bonita has a history of chasing and terrorizing neighborhood felines, so she will need a cat-free home.Bonita is a wonderful dog who deserves a family willing to give her the her the structure she needs. She has so much to offer as a companion, and we’re hoping this time, she finally finds the person who won’t give up on her.**Scheduled to be be spayed, scheduled to be microchipped, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on vaccines & monthly prevention**

Allow me to introduce myself… I’m Bobby. Professional goofball, certified beefcake, and full time good boy.I ended up at FDHS after I was found as a stray with a pretty nasty case of flea dermatitis. My skin was itchy, raw, and definitely not looking so hot. Thankfully, everyone here has been helping me feel so much better! Nobody ever came looking for me, but that’s okay. I’m choosing to believe my "real" family just hasn’t found me yet.The humans keep telling me I’m the happiest guy around, and I can’t argue with that. I love people, I love attention, and I love making everyone laugh with my silliness. I’ve been pretty chill with most of the other dogs here, although some of the other boys and I don’t always see eye to eye. Slow introductions are the way to go if you already have a pup at home.A couple things you should know about me: I’m built like a linebacker, my tail has the power to clear a coffee table in one swipe, and I’m still figuring out this whole “walking politely on a leash” thing. The good news? Meet Velvet! This beautiful black Boxer mix recently came to FDHS as a stray and, unfortunately, was never reclaimed by her previous family.Velvet is still pretty new around here and settling in, but we think we’ve already got a pretty good idea of what kind of girl she is! She has the SWEETEST personality and has already claimed the title of Queen of the WiggleButts. She’s happy, well-mannered, and always ready to have a good time!Velvet does phenomenal about keeping a clean kennel and has been wonderfully non-destructive with her blankets and stuffed animals. She could use a little brushing up on her leash manners, but otherwise, she’s been a very polite lady. She’s shown interest in making friends with the other shelter dogs, although we haven’t tested her with cats yet.And the humans? Velvet has been an absolute angel baby with every single person she’s met. She’s still getting settled in, but so far, Velvet is proving to be one pretty fabulous girl who we think could fit right into all kinds of homes. Now she just needs to find the people who will appreciate all those wiggles as much as we do!**Spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on vaccines & monthly prevention. Say hello to Nova! Nova is a beautiful American Bulldog who recently arrived at FDHS through no fault of her own.Mama Nova is calm, independent, and very well mannered. She enjoys spending time with her people and getting some attention, but she doesn't need to be glued to your side every second. She's perfectly happy hanging out nearby and enjoying some quiet time, too. She's been wonderful with our staff and has been a great girl all around. We were told Nova has experience living with kids and other animals, and so far, she's been taking her time to warm up to all of the big changes here at the shelter. Once she warms up, she's pretty easy to handle and enjoys getting out of her kennel for some one on one time.Nova has been through a lot of change, and she deserves a home where she can finally settle in, feel safe, and be loved for good. She's a wonderful dog with so much to offer, and we really hope her perfect family comes along soon. **Spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on vaccines & monthly prevention. Weighs 95 lbs**
