Wednesday is a gorgeous medium-sized mixed breed who came to us as a stray a couple of months ago with no information about her past. What we have learned is that she is a sweet, quirky girl who will need just the right home.Wednesday thrives in a calm environment and appreciates having time and space to relax and decompress. She is very loving with her caretakers but is also confident enough to set her boundaries when she needs to. One of Wednesday’s most iconic traits is her singing voice. She is known for her dramatic solos that get the entire shelter howling along. We promise no animals are being harmed. Wednesday is just being Wednesday, a tone deaf angel with a lot of personality. But we absolutely ADORE her!She seems comfortable around calm, low key dogs, but she has not been tested with cats. Because she can have the occasional sour mood, we do not recommend a home with small kids. And with her lack of coordination, a home with lots of stairs likely would not be ideal.Wednesday’s loving, goofy presence has made us all completely fall in love. She may be a special girl, but for the right person, she will be so amazing. **Spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on vaccines & monthly prevention. Weighs about 40 lbs**

I’m still learning my leash skills but I’m picking it up fast.I’m looking for someone active but is also down to cuddle on the couch on weekends. Meet Pam!Pam came to FDHS at just over a year old after being rescued from a hoarding situation while carrying her first litter of puppies. She brought them into the world and raised them with every bit of love she had. Now that all of her babies have been adopted and started new lives of their own, it is finally Pam’s turn to be the one cared for.Since settling into a wonderful foster home with her sister Yasmine, Pam has bloomed in the sweetest ways. She has discovered how fun toys can be, how comforting a warm bed feels, and how special it is to be part of a family. She has grown into a loving, playful, happy girl, and we are endlessly grateful for her foster who helped her heart open up.Pam is still learning about the world, but she surprises us every day with her courage and the progress she continues to make. She will need a home with another dog who can help guide her and give her a buddy to play with. A fenced yard is best as she continues practicing her leash skills, and having a canine companion (maybe even Yasmine) will help her feel safe as she settles in. Experience with rescues is preferred but not required.With her gentle nature and sweet heart, we know Pam will fit beautifully into a kind and patient household, whether it has two legged or four legged family members waiting for her.Pam is officially ready to begin her next chapter, and she has so much love waiting for the family that finally calls her their own.

This is Miss Fig, the ultimate lover girl.Fig has a stunning black coat with warm caramel markings and that perfect white blaze down her nose. Although she’s total head-turner, she is more than just looks. Fig is affectionate, well-mannered, and such a sweetheart. She recently went on an overnight home trial and was described as pure perfection. She behaved like an angel and seems to have a fantastic grasp of house training. Unfortunately, the potential family had an unknown dog allergy and Fig had to be returned due to no fault of her own. She is a dream on leash, enjoys lounging on a tie out, and loves frolicking around a fenced yard. Fig came to FDHS with another dog, so she has the potential to make furry friends, though she can be a bit reactive with some of the more intense dogs. She passed her cat test with flying colors and would likely do great in a home with cats. As always, slow introductions with other animals in the home is absolutely essential for success. Fig is a devoted, loving girl who just wants to be the best girl she can be. We know whoever ends up with this sweet thing is going to be incredibly lucky! **Spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on vaccines & monthly prevention. Weighs about 55 lbs**

This two year old Doodle came in with her bestie Monica, and even with all the recent changes in her life, she is still a happy go lucky girl who greets every person with a scruffy smile and a wiggly booty.Rachel loves everyone, including; kids, adults, and other dogs, and while she has not met a cat, we are pretty sure she would want to be their friend too. She is affectionate, goofy, and full of joy, with one little quirk. Rachel is a total Houdini. She can scale fences, dig under them, and has no respect for electric fencing, so she will need a family committed to keeping her safe and secure. She does pretty well on leash but could use some extra practice.Other than her escape artist tendencies, Rachel is truly perfection and would make an amazing addition to so many families.
