Spayed or Neutered,
Story
1 year old Neutered male 45 lbs. Medium/high energy level Potty trained Knows "sit" and "paw" Gets along well with other friendly dogs Can live with kids of all ages Cannot live with rabbits or other small animals Looking for an active adopter Below is my official bio, followed by some words from one of my HSJC caregivers! I'm a wonderful, 1 year old boy who can best be described as a joyful and affectionate love muffin. I have a super sweet disposition, am very smart and playful, and adore being petted and cuddled. I am potty trained (yay!) and very food motivated (which comes in handy because I'll do anything for a treat). I have lots of playful energy so I'm perfect for someone who enjoys being active. I know several commands and hope my adopter teaches me more! I love other dogs and really enjoy running and playing with them. While I'm a huge fan of other canines, I cannot live with rabbits or other small animals. I'm approved for families with respectful children and am yearning to be part of a loving family. Please give me a chance to show you that I'm the best dog you'll ever love!    From one of Mochi's shelter caregivers: Looking for an active buddy to go hiking, running, and adventuring? Look no more! Mochi is an active boy looking for an active home. He would love a farm to run and work, and maybe herd an animal or two when asked. He's honestly just looking for a loving family! He LOVES other dogs and is basically bomb proof. He's been paired with 4 different dogs at the shelter ranging from a pit bull to a fluff ball. He is great at adapting his play for other dogs and always shares his treats with other pups. Mochi is super playful and loves to run with his pup friends and play with toys. He's beginning to love the pools because his new BFF loves it, so he hops in with her now. He's great at letting other dogs lead and taking a backseat, while also being a leader when necessary. Mochi is a complete love bug and loves everyone he meets. He's super affectionate, very smart, and knows the commands for sit, down, paw, and stay with a free command. He is very treat motivated and ready to learn anything! He's great at making friends with pups and people and is honestly an amazing boy! Check out Mochi's video at https://youtube.com/shorts/d3qdg0FMU_g The online adoption listing websites require that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.June 6, 2023, 11:21 pm

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
2 years old Neutered male Medium/high energy level Sweet and sensitive Potty trained World champion at fetch  Seems to like female dogs Can live with kids of all ages Looking for an active adopter I'm a wonderfully sweet boy who absolutely loves people and affection. I can be shy at first, but once we get acquainted I'll put you on my list of best friends! I am very intelligent, well mannered, and playful. I'm also potty trained and know the commands for sit, down, and paw. I'm a world champion at fetch and will perfectly retrieve a toy and set it at your feet, then patiently wait for you to throw it again. (I love fetch so much that my adopter should probably have a "chuck it"!).  :D  I also enjoy squeaky toys and jolly balls. I seem to like most other female dogs, and I display typical herding breed tendencies in large dog groups (meaning I try to herd everyone together), so I'm better suited for smaller groups of dogs. As a herding breed I have lots of energy and need an active adopter who will give me daily exercise. Walking, hiking, running, whatever your favorite activity may be I'll be thrilled to join you! My past life was not ideal so it would be amazing to live with someone who truly loves and cares about me. I'm approved for gentle and respectful children and will be a fantastic companion for an attentive adopter. If you're looking for a smart, sweet, and fun companion, I'd love to be part of your family! The online adoption listing websites require that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
American Pit Bull Terrier mix Spayed female 6 years old Friendly and affectionate Potty trained Approved for families with respectful children Must be the only dog in her home I'm a sweet girl who was abandoned by my owner in 2017 when I was about 4 months old. Luckily someone found me and I was able to come to the shelter. I needed treatment for Parvovirus, a disease that is often fatal for dogs, but fortunately I survived and was adopted into a loving home. I was recently returned to the shelter and find myself in need of someone new to love. I'm a big cuddle bug and seem to think I'm a lap dog, but while I absolutely LOVE people I cannot live with other dogs. Here's a list of my awesome qualities: 1) I am very affectionate with people; 2) I am potty trained; 3) I know the commands for sit, down, and paw; 4) I have nice leash manners; 5) I come when I'm called; and 6) I love to go for car rides. I also enjoy playing with stuffed toys and am very food motivated (but I'm overweight right now and need to lose a few pounds). I am approved for families with respectful children and will thrive in a home where I'm the only dog. (In case you didn't know, dogs who need to be the only canine in their home should not be taken to dog parks or areas where other dogs are likely to be). I've had an action-packed story in my 6 years on earth and am so deserving of a true forever home. If you prefer to have just one dog and would cherish my love and companionship, we could be amazing for each other!June 6, 2023, 11:21 pm

4 year old male Lab-type mix Energetic and affectionate Friendly, active, playful Approved for families with respectful children Loves other dogs but cannot live with cats I'm a happy and loving Lab-type mix with lots of playful energy. I am very affectionate and seem to love everyone I meet. I am best suited for an active individual or family and will be thrilled to join you for walks, runs, and hikes. I know the command for "sit" in sign language and would love to learn more commands and how to walk nicely on a leash. I love kids and other dogs but I cannot live with cats. I'm approved for families with respectful children and will be a fun companion and exercise buddy! Story
Pit Bull Terrier-type mix Spayed female 2 years old Medium/high energy level Friendly, sweet, affectionate Playful and active Likes most other dogs Approved for families with respectful children I'm a sweet little gem with a big personality. I am a very outgoing girl with an affectionate and confident personality and a heart of gold. I love everyone I meet and will go up to just about anyone for petting and rubs. I am potty trained and know the commands for sit and down. I'm very food motivated so I should easily learn more commands if you reward me with tasty treats! I am active and playful so I'll need daily exercise and play time with my human(s). I love stuffed toys and enjoy throwing them up in the air. (Yes, it's adorable!). I get along well with most other polite dogs and am approved for families with respectful children. I came from an overcrowded shelter down south and can't wait to find my forever home here in Wisconsin! Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
American Pit Bull Terrier mix Neutered male, 7 months old Medium/high energy level Sweet and affectionate "Love bug" personality Potty trained, well behaved when home alone Likes most courteous dogs Approved for families with respectful children I'm a super sweet pup who adores people and most courteous dogs. I was surrendered by my loving family due to landlord restrictions and am anxious to find a caring forever home. My previous owners said that I'm potty trained and learned to sit at the door when I have to go out. They also said I was well behaved when home alone or at the vet. I know the commands for sit, down, shake, and stay, and I did well with the cat in my home. I'm just a big baby who loves to cuddle and is always happy to meet new friends. I have a real "love bug" personality and it would be awesome if I could sleep in bed with my new humans. I'm a truly wonderful pup who's approved for respectful children, so if you're looking for an amazing family dog I'd be a great choice!
