Story
Andy is currently living in a foster home in Madison. Andy is about a year old and weighs around 13 pounds. His rescue journey began when he was found abandoned in a known dumping area for stray dogs in Houston, Texas. He loyally laid next to his friend who had been killed by a car. While his dog friend couldn't be saved, the rescue was able to help Andy and brought him into a loving foster home. Since leaving Houston, Andy has been living in a wonderful foster home filled with dogs of a variety of sizes and ages. Andy loves to play with any dog that will wrestle him. He has some fun energy and will hop and bounce around. He is happy to be picked up and is content to be on your lap and with his humans. Andy is super affectionate and snuggly. He gives a lot of kisses and really likes to be near his people. His preferred form of play is to chase and wrestle other playful dogs. He has not been exposed to cats or children in his foster home. Interested in adoption? The first step is an application at paddyspaws.blogspot.com. Please do not apply if pets in the home are not up to date per our website requirements or are not altered. We only accept applications from Wisconsin. Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once approved a meet and greet with the dog. Adoption fee is $250.

Story
My name is Tippy and I am currently living in a foster home in Milwaukee, Wisconsin! The last few months have been a real wild ride! I was a stray in Texas, then went to a shelter. Some really great people rescued me from that shelter to get me on a van to Wisconsin. That's a lot of action for little dog like me! I've settled into my foster home and am now very comfortable. I love my crate. I love playing with dogs who like to wrestle and play chase! If a dog doesn't want to play, I just leave them alone. I haven't spent time with cats or children, but I know that I love fun dogs. I love bully sticks and find chew toys to be very comforting. I'm a little nervous with new people, but I warm up really fast! I am so fun and full of happiness that I bounce when I walk! Do you like walks? Me, too! I'm a natural on a leashed walk! Are you my fun loving new family? Interested in adoption? The first step is an application at paddyspaws.blogspot.com. Interested in adoption? The first step is an application at paddyspaws.blogspot.com. Please do not apply if pets in the home are not up to date per our website requirements or are not altered. We only accept applications from Wisconsin. Kurt is currently living in a foster home in Madison, Wisconsin. Kurt is approximately 1 year old and about 10 pounds. Kurt is a very sweet natured and loving dog that enjoys a calm and quieter environment. He will remind you of a newborn fawn with his long legs and sensitive nature. He gets along perfectly with the resident dogs at his foster home. He never starts any trouble. He also takes cues from other dogs when learning to navigate new situations. He doesn't bother the resident cat. Kurt has done great with house training manners. He will pace by the back door when he needs a potty break. He is working on his confidence outdoors so he will go out to the yard to do his business but doesn't hang out too much out there yet. Currently, his foster is home with him a lot of the day but he spends several hours per day in a crate. He’s done well being crated or in a room with child gates for boundaries for a typical work day. He sleeps in a crate close to his foster. He doesn’t make a peep throughout the night. He very rarely barks anytime of the day, he's the quietest dog. Kurt was under socialized for the beginning of his life so he needs time to feel safe with new people. As soon as he is acclimated, he will seek out affection. He will warm up faster to women. He LOVES to snuggle and can curl himself into a tiny corner just to be close to his person. He is very treat motivated and will warm up to new surroundings quicker with tasty treats. Kurt would flourish in a quieter environment with a patient and calm adopter. He’d also benefit from having a confident dog in the home to continue to learn from. Kurt would best be described as a homebody. He won't be the life of the party but is so, so loving and loyal to those that he trusts! Check out his video! Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a home visit, and once approved a meet and greet with the dog. Adoption fee is $250. Story
Snickers is currently living in a foster home near Mount Horeb, Wisconsin. Snickers is as handsome as they come. And his inside is just as beautiful as his outside! For fun, his Houston foster had a DNA test done and they found out that he is 53% husky. Snickers does have several husky attributes including a love of running. But, unlike a typical husky, Snickers comes when you call and is very obedient. Snickers also does not have a typical thick undercoat, so he is easier to keep clean and is very soft. Snickers is a friendly, affectionate and all around loving fellow. He gives super hugs, likes making new friends, enjoys stuffed toys and antlers, and is playful with other dogs. Snickers particularly loves to play wrestle and play chase with his smaller one year old foster brother. Despite his long legs Snickers only weighs about 40 pounds. Snickers would prefer an active-ish family and would likely thrive with another dog friend and would love a fenced yard. Snickers is very good in the house. He is very teachable and enjoys car rides and hanging out with his people. He would make a great adventure buddy for anyone looking for a hiking companion. Snicker's intelligence and trainabillity will make someone a very special four legged friend! He would love a family with children over the age of 8. Interested in adoption? Interested in adoption? The first step is an application at paddyspaws.blogspot.com. Please do not apply if pets in the home are not up to date per our website requirements or are not altered. We only accept applications from Wisconsin. My name is Kirby! I was surrendered to the shelter because my dad had fallen on hard times. He loved me very much. I was sad without him, but I bond very quickly! I love belly rubs and laying in the sun, and nothing beats a blankie fresh out of the dryer! I live in a foster home in Fort Atkinson with 6 dogs of various sizes and ages and two young children. I am polite with all of them and even curl up on dog beds with my canine companions. I do great with cats as well! My ideal home would be older children or adults only, just because I prefer the quiet life! I am kennel trained and will sleep through the night in my kennel. I am a huge fan of snuggling in the bed too. I dance when it's time to eat and have a happy bark to see my people. It's the cutest thing! I love my foster family so I know transition will be hard. It’s been really hard to on me to be bounced around…I hope the next home with be my forever!
