History: Ramsey is a super sweet boy who arrived to rescue in desperate need of a second chance. He is such a handsome and striking boy who is ready to meet his forever home soon! A Note from the Foster: Ramsey is adjusting well to living with a family. He loves to play with squeaky toys. Lamb chop has become his favorite toy! He is working on potty training and is making great progress! He still wears a belly band when he is not in his kennel. Ramsey gets along well with our resident dog. He is still learning how to play gently because he gets so excited. It is unknown how he would get along with cats. Ramsey gets along well with the teens in our house. It is unknown how he would do with younger children. He is kenneled at night and when we leave the house and does well. He will whine in the middle of the night when he needs to go to the bathroom. Ramsey has really blossomed into a great dog since we have fostered him. He is looking forward to growing even more in his forever home!

History: Our Out of the Cold Rescue Effort was a great success in welcoming over 180+ animals to rescue from rural areas in North Dakota before the cold set in. These animals are all so deserving and thankful to get a second chance in finding a forever home of their own! A Note from the Foster: Robbie is doing well. She’s come out of her shell to reveal a very sweet, smart, cuddly and funny little girl. She gets along with all of my resident dogs, but her favorite is my guide dog, Samurai who doesn’t love her back. Sam tolerates her cuddling into him on his bed whilst chewing on one of her benebones. Robbie loves to play and gets Ruby, Suzy and Beau to play with her. She hasn’t had any interactions with cats or small humans, but I don’t see her having any issues other than getting a bit mouthy when playing with me. We are working on it, but small children may not be a good option. Robbie is pretty much house broken and loves to go outside to relieve or if she’s in a hurry she relieves on potty pads. She’s only had one accident in the house in the past two weeks. My sister takes her outside for leash walks, and Robbie loves the snow and is slowly getting better on her leash every day. Robbie loves to chew, but is easily redirected to her Benebone. She hasn’t chewed on any shoes or clothing, although she loves to grab my socks as I take them off and secure them in her lair, which also contains toys and every Benebone she encounters. I am pleased to report that she doesn’t resource guard any of her treasures; she just collects them. Robbie is not an alpha, but she knows how to handle my alpha female and alpha male without irritating them. Robbie will take a little time to warm up to her adoptive family, but when she does she will be an absolutely loyal, loving, sweet member of her forever family!

History: Barron is a super sweet boy who arrived to rescue in desperate need of a second chance. He is such a handsome and striking boy who is ready to meet his forever home soon! A Note from the Foster: Take a look at that sweet face—this is Barron! 💙 If he looks a little unsure, that’s because life is still very new to him. Barron came to us as part of a breeder release and is just beginning to understand what it means to feel safe, loved, and cared for in a home. Barron is a gentle observer who likes to keep track of where everyone is and what’s going on around him. While he’s still warming up to the humans in the house, he has already found comfort and confidence in our resident dog, who is helping show him the ropes and teaching him that people can be pretty wonderful too. He’s doing a fantastic job with potty training and will let you know when he needs to go outside. We use a belly wrap indoors as an extra precaution while he continues learning. Leash walking is still a work in progress, but Barron is a smart boy and improving every day. Barron has tested positive for heartworm and will begin treatment in January. He’ll need a patient, supportive home to help him through that process—but in return, you’ll gain a loyal companion with so much love to give. This good boy is ready to find his furever home, where he can continue to blossom and return your love tenfold. 🐾❤️

History: Hershey is a super sweet boy who arrived to rescue in desperate need of a second chance. He is such a handsome and striking boy who is ready to meet his forever home soon! A Note from the Foster: Hershey is available for foster to adopt. Hershey is a calm and friendly shih tzu with a beautiful chocolate and champagne colored coat. He loves to take walks and his bouncy little steps will make you smile. He doesn't react to cats. Gets along with dogs. He is working on kennel training. I let him sleep next to the bed at night and he settles down right away. He doesn't have accidents at night and is working on potty training during the day. He loves being around people and prefers to sit at your feet. Hershey has a neuter appointment on January 8th and then will need three all-day heartworm treatments in Somerset.

Beau is 2/12 yrs. He is partially potty trained because of the cold winter he can't handle going outside so he wears potty wraps. But once weather is warmer about 30 deg he can be taken outside. It will take patience since he was inside so much for months. But he is a cute little squirt. Likes attention and plays with toys, likes chewies, is good with getting treats if you want to teach him simple tricks, and loves to play and chase little balls. But he will get bored if he is alone too long. He has been used to my other dogs to play with. Is leash trained. He loves dog parks to run and exercise and he has done fine at doggy daycare. He needs a kind gentle speaking voice or he will be scared if yelled at or spoken to harshly. Responds to positive reinforcement. Could be left in a kennel large enough to move around and play with toys if needed when you leave as long as you only are gone for 4 hrs. He is not a dog to leave if you have a full time job. My price is $300+75 rehoming
