Bubbles and her sister Buttercup were surrendered to a kill shelter because their owners just had too many and couldn’t find homes on their own. Their mom is a long-haired Chihuahua and their daddy is a Shih Tzu and they were born on February 2nd last year so they are now a year old. Bubbles has been spayed, is up-to-date on vaccines and heartworm negative. She’s also microchipped. She weighs about 9 pounds and is full grown now. Bubbles is great at the Vet and The Groomer and loves riding in the car. She needs a little practice on the leash and she’s making great progress on house training. Bubbles is a very friendly and a super snuggler! She and Buttercup are very bonded and we would very much like to get them a home together. They are so funny together! They play and run zoomies around the house. They would do well with older children and we have not had them around cats but we feel like she would be fine with proper introduction. Hi, I’m Penny. I may be small, but my heart is very, very big. If you’re looking for a loyal little shadow who wants to be wherever you are… congratulations, you’ve found me. My favorite place in the world is right next to my person — on the couch, at your feet, following you from room to room. I just really love being part of your day. I’m a sweet, doting, snuggly girl who lives for pets, treats, and attention. In the mornings, I greet you gently and head outside to take care of business (yes — I’m potty trained!). Then it’s breakfast time, maybe a short walk, and ideally some couch snuggles. I enjoy walks and little adventures, but I’m also perfectly happy staying cozy inside on chilly days. Joey is an adorable, sweet little 8 year old charcoal Shih Tzu who weighs 8 pounds. Now you would think that a pup that small would be timid and shy. Not Joey, he has a big personality in that little body. He is quite sure he is the center of the world and is very vocal about it when things are not to his expectations. He absolutely expects to sleep in the bed with you, or no one will be sleeping. He loves his foster mom’s bed and often wants to take an afternoon nap there. While Joey is friendly and good with other dogs, he’d do best as an only dog in a quiet household where he can be the center of attention. Joey has separation anxiety, and he is used to someone being with him most of the time. His foster family is working with him to overcome some undesirable personality traits when he gets jealous of another dog and he is not the center of attention, or when he’s left alone. His adoptive family must to understand his insecurity and will need to continue working with him. Joey came from a loving, quiet home where his owner passed away. He loves to be held, and he wants to be on you or near all of the time. He is potty trained but may try to mark when transitioning to his new home. He does best if there is someone home to let him out frequently and take him for a walk when it’s not too cold. Joey’s requirements: - A quiet, adults only loving home that is similar to what he previously had and where he will feel most secure.
