Story
Buttercup and her sister and brother, Bubbles and Brodie were surrendered to a kill shelter because their owners just had too many and couldn’t find homes on their own. Their mom is a long-haired Chihuahua and their daddy is a Shih Tzu and they were born on February 2nd this year so they are 8 months old. Buttercup has been spayed, is up-to-date on vaccines and heartworm negative. She’s also microchipped. She weighs just under 7 pounds and is probably full grown now. Buttercup is great at the Vet and The Groomer and loves riding in the car. She needs a little practice on the leash and she’s making great progress on house training. Buttercup is a little bossy but plays great with her brother and sister. we feel like she would be fine with other dogs after getting to know them but would always want to be the boss. She would be fine with older children, and we are not sure about cats but the bossy part would be the same at first. If you would like to give this super affectionate love bug her forever home, please email omlc7@hotmail.com or dogs4mylife@gmail.com. If you do not see a response, please check your spam folder.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Sundae is a 7&#226&#128&#145pound Yorkie mix with a joyful personality and a heart full of love. She’s one of those rare dogs who seems to adore everyone and everything — happy, friendly, and always ready to brighten your day. She’s blossomed beautifully in her foster home, gaining confidence, weight, and a whole lot of fluffy hair, and she’s turning into such a fun, delightful little companion. She’s playful and spunky, but also knows how to relax. Sundae loves toys (Lamb Chop is her current favorite), enjoys learning fetch, and is very food&#226&#128&#145motivated — which makes training easy and enjoyable. She’s smart, eager to please, and would happily learn new tricks with someone who wants to teach her. Sundae is wonderful with cats, dogs, and kids of all ages. When she’s had enough social time, she simply walks away and finds a cozy spot to recharge. She’s friendly with new people, quiet around the house, and loves both snuggly lazy days and fun little adventures. She walks nicely on a leash, though she may pull a bit when she’s excited. She’s fully potty trained, sleeps quietly in her crate at night, and does well while her humans are at work. She’s affectionate, goofy, gentle, and incredibly even&#226&#128&#145tempered — the perfect mix of playful and cuddly. Sundae is truly the nicest dog — a sweet little shadow who loves being near her people and brings joy wherever she goes. Whether you’re an active family or someone who loves cozy days at home, she’ll fit right in and make every day a little brighter. Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.   ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. Hi my name is Riggy Moe and I am from Minnesota! Riggy Moe is a Senior Mini Schnauzer, she is very sweet and adorable!! She is full of personality and she is a social gal as she likes to make new friends. She does great with my other dogs as well. She also likes going for walks when the weather is nice. She is doing well with her housetraining and her crate training, I recently have let her run of my bedroom, kitchen and she has been doing well with that. She is used to sleeping on my bed with me as I have doggy stairs for her to use and she definitely let you know her place is on the bed, I affectionately call her my Sassy Princess! She is a wonderful companion dog who already has me wrapped around her little paw as I just adore her! From the Vet: Ms. Riggy Moe is a spunky senior gal ready to find her final forever home for her golden years. While she is not without some medical that will required monitoring with her adoptive homes primary DVM as would be typical with any senior pup. Based on all other physical exam findings, we expect that she will be a perfect senior adoptable dog for some one looking for an easy companion!

Story
Hi, my name is Raisen, I am from Alabama. From his foster: Raisen adores being held and sleeping in your lap. After about a week of decompressing, his personality really began to come through. He's curious and confident, mastering the stairs quickly and fitting in easily with our 55lb resident dogs. He follows their cues, but isn't afraid to speak up if someone comes sniffing around the toy he's playing with. He even joined in with barking at the mail carrier! He had no clue why everyone was barking, but wanted to be part of the action. Raisen does sleep in his crate at night and does well with peeing on potty pads. He's about 50% there on where he decides to poop. We have not yet introduced Raisen to going outside or leash walking. From the Vet: Raisen has been staged for his heartworm disease, and at that appointment we determined he will need a few other things as well. If determined safe for anesthesia, Raisen will need a Neuter & Dental +/- a mass removal surgery either at least 2 weeks prior to starting heartworm injections OR this surgery will wait until 30-40 days after heartworm treatment. The BB Medical Team will update this portion of Raisen's bio as we get more information from his pending lab work associated with his heartworm staging and mass cytology. I am currently being treated for heartworm disease. Heartworm is not contagious so your resident pets are not at risk! The treatment for this is 3-4 months long and requires a minimum of 3 appointments and strict rest/restricted activity. My adoption can take place during treatment, while TBB manages the financial responsibility of my heartworm treatment at The Bond Between Vet Center. Any other medical care needed outside of the specific care covered in the contract disclaimer, would be the responsibility of my new family.

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org ✨🐾 Meet Little Bit — Proof That the Best Things Come in Tiny, Fluffy Packages 🐾✨ (4 Years Old • Shih Tzu • 9 lbs • Male • Professional Shadow) If you’ve ever thought, “I’d really like a dog who quietly follows me around like a very cute cloud,” then Little Bit is about to be your dream come true. At just 9 pounds and 4 years old, Little Bit is sweet, gentle, and delightfully low-key. He’s the kind of pup who prefers soft beds, kind humans, and being exactly wherever you are — no chaos, no drama, no unnecessary barking commentary. Despite being surrendered for being “too energetic” (allegedly 🙃), Little Bit has shown us nothing but calm, quiet manners. Here, he’s more low to very medium energy — playful when invited, content to lounge when not, and always happy just to be included. His only “crime” was lightly chasing porch cats, which he would like the court to note was non-threatening...just a little, I wanta say 'hello'. 🐶 Little Bit’s Best Features: • Very sweet & submissive — gentle soul alert • Great with other dogs and respectful of everyone’s space • Not much of a barker — strong “peace and quiet” energy • Playful but not demanding — he reads the room like a pro • Small, delicate, and affectionate (handle with love & cuddles) Because he’s petite and submissive, Little Bit would do best in a home without small children — not because he’s grumpy, but because he’s more “porcelain teacup” than “rough-and-tumble toy.” He’d be perfect for someone looking for a loyal companion, a quiet buddy, or a furry little shadow who wants to be part of your daily routine. If you’re looking for a dog who will follow you from room to room, sit politely nearby, and occasionally remind you how adorable life can be… 👉 Apply today at haydudeequine.org — Little Bit is ready to be your tiny bestest furry friend. 🐾💖
