Bentley is coming to us with a bit of an unknown history, but here's what his temporary foster in Tennessee has noticed so far: "Bentley is approx 6 years old and 6 lbs, and follos me around everywhere looking for affection. He still is cautious though, flattening himself to the ground when I go to pick him up. Bentley is frightened of men, and almost "patrols" my fiancee around the house, following and barking at him out of fear. Although he's gotten much better in the few months we've had him, for his comfort, we believe the ideal foster and forever home for Bentley would be a female - only home. Bentley is very sweet and laid back, as long as he's in a quiet home with nothing that intimidates him. He's great with other dogs, and though we're not sure if he's been around cats - I don't think that should be an issue! He is cautious and fearful of children, so perhaps a child-free home will also make him happiest. Bentley is absolutely precious - if I didn't have a man in the house I'd keep him!" Bentley needs a committed foster (or foster to adopt!) home to be able to arrive into rescue in Minnesota. We're hoping for an arrival in November or December. Bubbles and her sister and brother, Buttercup and Brodie were surrendered to a kill shelter because their owners just had too many and couldn’t find homes on their own. Their mom is a long-haired Chihuahua and their daddy is a Shih Tzu and they were born on February 2nd this year so they are 8 months old. Bubbles has been spayed, is up-to-date on vaccines and heartworm negative. She’s also microchipped. She weighs just under 9 pounds and is probably full grown now. Bubbles is great at the Vet and The Groomer and loves riding in the car. She needs a little practice on the leash and she’s making great progress on house training. Although and three pups are extremely sweet, Bubbles is a most friendly and a super snuggler! She plays great with her brother and sister and we feel like she would be fine with other dogs after getting to know them. She would do well with older children and we have not had her around cats but we feel like she would be fine with proper introduction. Sweet Teddy Bear came to rescue over a year ago from a backyard breeder. He lacked socialization and was scared of human touch. He loves playing with other dogs and does not bother the cats. He is still very shy and needs a patient owner. He will do best in a home with other small dogs and older children. He has learned to walk on a leash, but it is not his favorite thing.
