He has a real curiosity for outside, toys, and his temporary siblings. He has been spending time with a two year old Border Collie as well as a cat, and everyone is getting along swimmingly. He is most content chilling on the couch with us! We are working on crate training as well as peeing outside. He is always hungry for food and fun!

From his foster: Bentley is a curious and energetic boy who can be a little timid when he first meets you, but after a couple of days he really starts to get comfortable. He loves to go on walks and run around the yard, play fetch and lay on the couch with you. Bentley is also very receptive to training cues, especially when given a treat. Bentley would thrive with someone who is patient, willing to continue training, and active. Bentley has shown a lot of improvement with his back, he seems to have no issue being pet there anymore. Bentley is also a little sneaky and will try to slip through gaps in the door when he can to go outside and run around, continued training is advised. From the Vet: When Bentley came for his first exam at The BB Vet Center he was sensitive to touch on his back. He doesn't show any signs of pain in his foster home and right now he is only on an omega-3 supplement for joint support and doing very well!

From Sneaker's Foster mom: I have a never-ending list of wonderful things to say about Miss Sneakers! First and foremost, she is incredibly sweet and responds wonderfully to training. She’s not only treat-motivated, but also thrives on praise—which is so easy to give, because she’s truly a good girl. She’s completely potty trained and adapts well to both a house or apartment lifestyle. Sneakers already knows several commands: sit, lay down, off, wait, and—of course—“good girl.” She’s gentle with her toys and prefers stuffed animals over puzzle toys. Her favorite snacks are biscuits, bully sticks, and meat treats—though she’s not a fan of peanut butter. She gets plenty of exercise with 2–3 walks a day (plus some running!) to help burn off energy. Behavior & Socialization: Sneakers is considered reactive, meaning she gets nervous around new people and may bark to try and keep them away. But in the short time I’ve had her, she’s already shown amazing progress with consistent, positive exposure—especially in outdoor spaces like parks, where she can take things at her own pace. I am a very handsome young adult male Mini Aussiedoodle who doesn’t like a lot of commotion, but I love to cuddle, and I prefer women. Truth is, I am highly sensitive and reactive to ‘stranger danger’! That’s right, I react to people approaching the front door, coming into the house, and even people approaching my kennel. I know…it’s not something I’m proud of but I’m working on it…really, I am!! In fact, foster mom is trying to help me associate new people (strangers) with positive outcomes and I am confident that I will be successful in time but for now it is still a work in progress. In the meantime, mom sometimes puts a muzzle on me and although it doesn’t bother me at all I prefer, of course, not to wear it so my new family will need to commit to working with me on training. Muzzle training may make me look scary, but it allows me to safely meet and work on my training so I can be happy!  After all, consistency, patience, loving encouragement, and LOTS of mental and physical stimulation are the keys to my success!!! I am good with older kids, cats, and other dogs; and my favorite activities include going on my daily leashed walks or car rides; hiking; exploring; eating treats like plain Greek yogurt or pumpkin; playing with small squeaky toys and other dogs; chewing on Benebones; and running zoomies in the yard so the yard at my new home will need to be fenced! Hee, hee!! I also hope to have a small, confident doggie companion who might help me overcome some of my anxiety about strangers!!! By the way, I almost forgot to mention that I am a prodigy…no, really! I know everything from how to do my business outside to a deluge of commands like “sit”, “down”, “come”, “kennel/crate”, “wait”, “leave it”, “outside”, and “go potty”!! Others have come from various situations where they are lacking confidence in humans. In turn, most require another companion dog in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. Meet Kris and Kringle — two very special boys who wandered onto their foster parents’ property on Christmas Eve. It truly was a Christmas miracle when they found warmth, full bellies, and cozy beds instead of being out in the cold. These boys are incredibly happy, sweet, and affectionate.
