Story
Hi! My name is Dragon and I am from Texas! Dragon is a very curious puppy, and he doesn’t let being blind hold him back. He explores the world with his nose. He does walk cautiously, bumps into things here and there, and is still learning to walk down the stairs. However, he loves to explore. He is also happy being held and will fall asleep in your arms or lie by your feet. Chewing on things is one of his favorite things to do, and he’s getting comfortable playing with his foster brother. Strangers aren’t his favorite, but he warms up to people. Dragon is doing very well with potty training, but he’s still working on it. Dragon does just fine with our resident dogs, but he would also do well being the only dog.

Story
If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please complete  an Adoption Request Form. This is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about our adoption process, please visit our Adoption Process page on our website at www.rescuecrew.org. From Sneaker's Foster mom: I have a never-ending list of wonderful things to say about Miss Sneakers! First and foremost, she is incredibly sweet and responds wonderfully to training. She’s not only treat-motivated, but also thrives on praise—which is so easy to give, because she’s truly a good girl. She’s completely potty trained and adapts well to both a house or apartment lifestyle. Sneakers already knows several commands: sit, lay down, off, wait, and—of course—“good girl.” She’s gentle with her toys and prefers stuffed animals over puzzle toys. Her favorite snacks are biscuits, bully sticks, and meat treats—though she’s not a fan of peanut butter. She gets plenty of exercise with 2–3 walks a day (plus some running!) to help burn off energy. Behavior & Socialization: Sneakers is considered reactive, meaning she gets nervous around new people and may bark to try and keep them away. But in the short time I’ve had her, she’s already shown amazing progress with consistent, positive exposure—especially in outdoor spaces like parks, where she can take things at her own pace. She simply needs time and patience to build trust. Once she does, she bonds deeply. ‍ Bonds quickly with women ‍ Slower to trust men Would do best in a home with older kids (she’s a little jumpy and sensitive about her tail) No cats due to prey drive (not officially tested) Best as the only dog—she’s shown nervous behavior around others Her Ideal Home: Sneakers needs a calm, structured home with patient humans who’ll give her space and support as she decompresses. Once she feels safe, she is the sweetest soul. She loves: Tummy rubs Hand-holding (yes, really!) Walks in the park Sunbathing Taking treats ever so gently She’s a total mama’s girl, and I know she’ll thrive in the right adoptive home—one that sees the loving, loyal dog she already is. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.   The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Request Form prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online forms here as well. ##1986660##

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Hi! My name is Star, and I am a retired mama learning how wonderful human homes are!  My foster Dad says my coat is very soft.  I LOVE it when he pets me and gives me doggie massages.  I will snuggle by him for hours!  I have met several awesome dog foster siblings, and have gotten along with all of them. I absolutely LOVE every dog I have met. From puppies to older dogs, they make me feel safe and happy. I enjoy snoozing with them in the living room or playing inside and outside. I have been around several kittys, but I ignore them. Being a little nervous, I tend to run away from young kids, but I do great with older ones that let me get used to them. I am a little shy, but my foster family has introduced me to new things like family gatherings, and I have learned new people are fun too! I am a very sweet girl that wants to be loved, and will love you back. Just please be patient with me until I get to know you, as I need some time to know that I am safe in new environments. Food and treats are a great way for me to feel the love and comfort! Once I know you, I love petting and snuggling. Being outside on sunny days with my foster dog siblings is my favorite! I love to run around, roll in the grass, and just take it all in. The leash is still a little scary to me, but I love the walks that come afterward! As a Mini Aussie, I love to follow my people around just to make sure I know where they are and what they are doing, but I am fine if left at home with my doggie friends too.  I might be nervous if left alone by myself.  My ideal furever family would understand my breed, have patience, as I get to know them.  Doggie friends are a plus. I am a very special girl and cannot wait for the perfect family to love and trust! *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.   ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.      Hello, my name is Benji! I am a very handsome young adult male Mini Aussiedoodle who doesn’t like a lot of commotion, but I love to cuddle, and I prefer women. Truth is, I am highly sensitive and reactive to ‘stranger danger’! That’s right, I react to people approaching the front door, coming into the house, and even people approaching my kennel. I know…it’s not something I’m proud of but I’m working on it…really, I am!! In fact, foster mom is trying to help me associate new people (strangers) with positive outcomes and I am confident that I will be successful in time but for now it is still a work in progress. In the meantime, mom sometimes puts a muzzle on me and although it doesn’t bother me at all I prefer, of course, not to wear it so my new family will need to commit to working with me on training. Muzzle training may make me look scary, but it allows me to safely meet and work on my training so I can be happy!  After all, consistency, patience, loving encouragement, and LOTS of mental and physical stimulation are the keys to my success!!! I am good with older kids, cats, and other dogs; and my favorite activities include going on my daily leashed walks or car rides; hiking; exploring; eating treats like plain Greek yogurt or pumpkin; playing with small squeaky toys and other dogs; chewing on Benebones; and running zoomies in the yard so the yard at my new home will need to be fenced! Hee, hee!! I also hope to have a small, confident doggie companion who might help me overcome some of my anxiety about strangers!!! By the way, I almost forgot to mention that I am a prodigy…no, really! I know everything from how to do my business outside to a deluge of commands like “sit”, “down”, “come”, “kennel/crate”, “wait”, “leave it”, “outside”, and “go potty”!! Thankfully, I enjoy learning, especially when I have a strong, confident, respectful leader, and I really love pleasing my people!! Anyway, foster mom says that I am the “most affectionate” dog she’s ever met and as hard as I try, I simply cannot disagree with her! Hee, hee!! All I need in my life now is YOU…a patient, unconditionally loving forever family who will not only NEVER give up on me but will commit to helping me overcome my fears!! I promise that not only am I totally worth it, but I will enrich your life in ways you could never imagine!!! Love, Benji Some of our dogs are obtained from commercial breeders where they spent their lives getting comfort from their canine friends. Others have come from various situations where they are lacking confidence in humans. In turn, most require another companion dog in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog, and do not currently have a dog residing with you, please understand that your home might not be the right fit for many of our dogs.   This dog has received grooming with us at Underdog Rescue, but was likely neglected of grooming attention until he came into our care.  It can sometimes take months to get their coat healthy as Doodle mixes require daily brushing.  Grooming appointments occur every 3 months and cost on average of $150 per appointment.  Adopters should be prepared for such expenses.  Underdog Rescue cannot guarantee the non-shedding or hypoallergenic qualities of this dog.    ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. I am looking for a forever family! Select the "Apply for Adoption" if you would like to adopt Hi! My name is Bryer and I am from Alabama. Bryer is an incredibly intelligent, sweet, loving, and kind pup. He is very observant of his environment, and curious to learn about the world around him. Bryer has a heart of gold and a ton of potential, and would benefit from a furever family that is willing and able to provide the physical exercise and mental stimulation for a pup his age/breed and energy level. As he is still a year old, he will need training and positive reinforcement to redirect jumping up, mouthiness while playing and knowing when to take a break from play. He knows come, sit, lay down, leave it, down/off, is working on "wait" and will drop a ball when playing fetch to the cue of "drop it" (with a treat, of course!). He walks well on a leash, but has been startled at times by cars driving past. He is completely house trained, and crate trained, and is very willing to take a relax/quiet breaks in his kennel with a treat toy. Bryer is very curious and doesn’t no his boundaries when it comes to cats. He will do well in a home with no cats but other pups he will love to play with. He will bond strongly with his furever family and has already shown so much loyalty and love to his main person in his current foster home.

Story
I am looking for a foster or forever family! Please email fostersupport@thebondbetween.org if you can say YES to fostering this animal! Select the "Apply for Adoption" if you would like to adopt Hi! My name is Big Bee and I am from Alabama. From her foster: Big Bee is a very sweet and affectionate girly. She is currently overweight, likely due to her strong appreciation for treats, but she is working on developing healthier habits in her foster home. Big Bee is generally very relaxed and enjoys lounging throughout the day, especially outside where she can soak up the sun. While she is mostly calm and laid-back, she occasionally shows a playful, goofy side that adds to her charm. Big Bee thrives on attention and affection. She loves being around people and is happiest when she has someone by her side. Her affectionate nature and love for companionship make her a wonderful addition to a calm, loving home. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who enjoys quiet moments, occasional bursts of playfulness, and lots of love, Big Bee may be the perfect fit for you. From the Vet: I am currently being treated for heartworm disease. Heartworm is not contagious so your resident pets are not at risk! The treatment for this is 3-4 months long and requires a minimum of 3 appointments and strict rest/restricted activity. My adoption can take place during treatment, while TBB manages the financial responsibility of my heartworm treatment at The Bond Between Vet Center. Any other medical care needed outside of the specific care covered in the contract disclaimer, would be the responsibility of my new family. At my first exam to stage my heartworm treatment, I got the diagnosis of hyperthyroidism which meant a few things; I will need to start thyroid supplementation and this is generally a life long medication, but once I find the right dose I will be able to focus on getting myself healthy in other ways! I will need to address my skin issues as well as get down to a better healthier weight. I will need a home that is comfortable with a dog that takes medication and has to be kept activity restricted for the next few months, but the most rewarding part is that my medical conditions are highly treatable so my outlook on life is only better from here!! Just need someone to say yes and give me a soft place to land, recover and live the good life!

Hi! My name is Lexie and I am from Minnesota! From her foster: Lexie is a very fun, playful, happy and snuggly girl! She does bark when left in her kennel but will settle down eventually. She has done well being left out of the crate, too, and is house trained! Slow intros to any new dog would be needed.
