Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.      Hello, my name is Benji! I am a very handsome young adult male Mini Aussiedoodle who doesn’t like a lot of commotion, but I love to cuddle, and I prefer women. Truth is, I am highly sensitive and reactive to ‘stranger danger’! That’s right, I react to people approaching the front door, coming into the house, and even people approaching my kennel. I know…it’s not something I’m proud of but I’m working on it…really, I am!! In fact, foster mom is trying to help me associate new people (strangers) with positive outcomes and I am confident that I will be successful in time but for now it is still a work in progress. In the meantime, mom sometimes puts a muzzle on me and although it doesn’t bother me at all I prefer, of course, not to wear it so my new family will need to commit to working with me on training. Muzzle training may make me look scary, but it allows me to safely meet and work on my training so I can be happy!  After all, consistency, patience, loving encouragement, and LOTS of mental and physical stimulation are the keys to my success!!! I am good with older kids, cats, and other dogs; and my favorite activities include going on my daily leashed walks or car rides; hiking; exploring; eating treats like plain Greek yogurt or pumpkin; playing with small squeaky toys and other dogs; chewing on Benebones; and running zoomies in the yard so the yard at my new home will need to be fenced! Hee, hee!! I also hope to have a small, confident doggie companion who might help me overcome some of my anxiety about strangers!!! By the way, I almost forgot to mention that I am a prodigy…no, really! I know everything from how to do my business outside to a deluge of commands like “sit”, “down”, “come”, “kennel/crate”, “wait”, “leave it”, “outside”, and “go potty”!! Thankfully, I enjoy learning, especially when I have a strong, confident, respectful leader, and I really love pleasing my people!! Anyway, foster mom says that I am the “most affectionate” dog she’s ever met and as hard as I try, I simply cannot disagree with her! Hee, hee!! All I need in my life now is YOU…a patient, unconditionally loving forever family who will not only NEVER give up on me but will commit to helping me overcome my fears!! I promise that not only am I totally worth it, but I will enrich your life in ways you could never imagine!!! Love, Benji Some of our dogs are obtained from commercial breeders where they spent their lives getting comfort from their canine friends. Others have come from various situations where they are lacking confidence in humans. In turn, most require another companion dog in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog, and do not currently have a dog residing with you, please understand that your home might not be the right fit for many of our dogs.   This dog has received grooming with us at Underdog Rescue, but was likely neglected of grooming attention until he came into our care.  It can sometimes take months to get their coat healthy as Doodle mixes require daily brushing.  Grooming appointments occur every 3 months and cost on average of $150 per appointment.  Adopters should be prepared for such expenses.  Underdog Rescue cannot guarantee the non-shedding or hypoallergenic qualities of this dog.    ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Hey there, wonderful humans - ready for a handsome boy? I'm Kiwi, the pint-sized dynamo with a heart full of love and a zest for life. Let me give you the lowdown on the awesomeness that is me: Picture this – shades of brown and cream, one ear perpetually popped up, and eyes that tell stories – one blue and one brown. Yep, that's me, a young Mini Aussie turning heads wherever I go! Now, here's the thing – they say I'm a bit hard of hearing, but I've got my own language. I have a slight hearing loss due to being born with hydrocephalus.  We think I can hear deeper sounds, but not higher pitches. Silent hand claps for applause (and belly rubs, of course), gentle taps on the ribs for attention, and some cool hand signals like thumbs up for SIT and a wave for "come on down." I'm mastering the art of communication!  I am sometimes a bit unsteady on my feet and circle around when stimulated - that's some of my hydrocephalus showing.  But, there are no long term needs known at this time.  I might have some uniqueness, but it makes me special! Life's a classroom, and I'm here to soak it all in. I do require a fenced yard in my forever home AND need to be leashed in the yard until I understand when my people want me to come inside. My people said when we go on walks, it is best for me to be double leashed as I am skittish and a flight risk. She says “Safety First” before we go outside. When I meet new people, I am a little nervous and need some time to warm up. There are so many new things to see and sniff, I get a little overwhelmed. I am always excited to go home play with my toys. I have Crocky, Bunny, Mousey, Ropey and Bully – I like toys that are tuff so I can chew and chase with them. We recently started playing frisbee – I understand the chase part and we are working on the return part – hee hee! Hopefully my forever family will keep practicing with me. My people said that I am growing and learning so much – they are calling them “light bulb moments” because you can actually see it when I am excited and understand something new. They said I would be a good candidate to try out agility, fly ball or rat hunting because I am a high energy dog with an active mind. Did I mention my love for food? It's basically everything, and I'm open to culinary adventures! Except chicken, that sometime gives me tummy rumbles – ick. Also, sometimes I get crabby if there is another dog around at mealtime, I would suggest that meals are served in a kennel. My people have a puzzle food toy that I LOVE, foster mom says it is a great way to help me slow down and focus at mealtimes. We are also working on kennel training. So far, I prefer a wire kennel over a plastic kennel. And foster mom has been letting me sleep in the bed. Although I tend to get into things so she keeps me on a leash, even during sleepy time! Again, safety first! Potty training is a work in progress, my people said I am a whirling dervish when nature calls – hee hee. I definitely have a “signal” if you are paying attention! Typical of my breed, I would thrive in a home that will keep my mind and body active, give me a job and keep me busy. I think obedience school or agility training would be a fantastic way to bond and learn new things. My people said that I am very smart and started counter surfing and exploring into things I shouldn’t, kinda like a toddler (hee hee) so they provide supervision and things for me to do. I may be a tiny tot, but I've got a big heart and a spirit ready for adventures. If you're up for teaching, loving, and navigating life together, let's make it happen! I'm here, ready to become the most awesome dog you've ever known.  Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders.  Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption.  This will be at the adopters expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses.  Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue.  Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    I’m new to this whole family atmosphere thing.  I’m still learning about all the things.  When I am not in my safe place (which may take me a little bit in my forever home) I am nervous and skittish.  But once I learn it’s a safe zone, I relax and let me sweet and loving nature come out. I’m still working hard at potty training, leash walking and the kennel.  I can tell you that I am NOT a kennel fan.  I’ll let you know all about it so probably best not to have shared walls.  I also need a fenced yard because I haven’t spent a lot of energy learning about leashes.  And I like playing with the resident dog.  Well, one of them because the senior dog here isn’t into playing.  I do need another dog in my forever home so I can learn to trust, get on a routine and a confident one to show me the ropes and play with.. I like playing with toys and stuffed animals when not playing with the other dog here.  There is even a cat who isn’t fond of me chasing it, but I think a dog savvy cat and a set of eyes on me, we could be friends. My foster mom wanted me to tell you how sweet and SUPER SMART I am.  But that I also have a fear about going outside. I am also afraid of most men. That’s where another confident dog could help me.  I’m getting better every day.  I have lots of puppy energy and am working on not getting into things.  If you are my person/family, I’d love to have you fill out an application and we can meet! *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Hi! My name is Star, and I am a retired mama learning all things dog! Although my past is not fully known, we are focusing on my future and learning new experiences. I have several awesome dog foster siblings, and would love a dog in my future home to help me be confident! I absolutely LOVE every dog I have met. From puppies to older dogs, they make me feel safe and happy. I enjoy snoozing with them in the living room or playing inside and outside. I have been around several kittys, but I ignore them. Being a little nervous, I tend to run away from young kids, but I met do great with older ones. I am a little shy, but my foster family is introducing me to new things, and I have learned a lot so far. Being outside on sunny days with my foster dog siblings is my favorite! I love to run around, roll in the grass, and just take it all in. The leash is still a little scary to me, but I love the walks that come afterward! I am a very sweet girl that wants to be loved, and will love you back. Just please be patient with me until I get to know you, as I need some time to know that I am safe in new environments. Food and treats are a great way for me to feel the love and comfort! Once I know you, I love petting and snuggling. I have met multiple other dogs and humans. I am learning that others can be safe and do take treats from the new humans I meet. If everyone is in the living room, I will be hanging out with them. As a Mini Aussie, I love to follow my people around just to make sure I know where they are and what they are doing, but I am fine if left at home with my doggie friends too. My ideal furever family with understand my breed, have patience, doggie friends for me and a quieter home. I am a very special girl and cannot wait for the perfect family to love and trust! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Hi there! I’m Jess, a 3-year-old Mini Aussie, and I’m loving life here in Minnesota! I’m a sweet, snuggly girl who’s ready to find my forever home. Everyone says I’m the kindest and gentlest pup they’ve ever met—and I won’t argue with that! I adore cuddles, giving kisses, and soaking up all the love and attention you can give. My foster family has a couple of dogs and I get along great with them. I enjoy their company and learning from them, but I also like having my own space to relax—my kennel or a cozy spot on the couch are my go-to chill zones. Please leave my kennel door open for me; it’s my safe space, and I love coming and going as I please. I’m fully potty trained and kennel trained, but my foster parents trust me to stay out of the kennel when they’re gone because I’ve proven to be such a good girl. If you’ll let me snuggle in bed with you, I’ll happily accept—it’s one of my favorite things! Walks are something new to me, so I’m still getting the hang of them, but I’m eager to learn. Loud noises and overwhelming commotion make me nervous, so I’d do best in a calm, patient home where I can feel safe. Baby talk melts my heart—it makes me feel like the princess I am! When it comes to play, I’m figuring things out. I haven’t quite understood the fun of chasing a ball yet, but I love chew toys and treats. I also know some basic commands like “sit,” “down,” and “go potty,” and I’m ready to keep learning with you. I’d thrive in a loving home with or without another dog, as long as my humans are around most of the time. A fenced yard is ideal since I enjoy the freedom to explore safely. I’m looking for a family with the time and patience to help me continue discovering the world and learning how to be the best dog I can be. If you’re looking for a sweet, gentle companion who will love you unconditionally, I’m your girl. Let’s start this new chapter of our lives together—I can’t wait to meet you! Story
Meet Marcus, a smart, playful, and active Border Collie-Retriever mix with a heart full of love and potential! This handsome boy is full of energy and would thrive in a home that can keep up with his enthusiasm for daily play and mental stimulation. He’s incredibly intelligent and enjoys learning new tricks and commands, making him a great companion for anyone looking to bond over training and activities. While Marcus has had a challenging start to life, having been found on the streets, he’s come a long way and is now looking for a special family that understands his unique needs. Due to his past experiences, Marcus is best as the only dog in the home and would benefit from an adopter who can provide him with a secure environment where he can continue to thrive. He does have some food resource guarding tendencies, which is why being the only dog in a home is essential. He can also be very creative when it comes to looking for food so make sure your counters are free of food as he has been known to eat entire loaves of bread. Marcus is a loving and loyal companion in the home, and with the right care and patience, he will blossom into an even more wonderful pet. He would do best in a calm, quiet environment without the stress of other dogs or public spaces like dog parks, but he’ll give you endless affection and joy in return. If you’re looking for an intelligent, active, and loving dog who’s ready to build a life full of adventures with you, Marcus might just be the perfect fit. He’s waiting for his forever home where he can truly feel safe and loved! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Look at us—aren’t we just the cutest bunch you’ve ever seen? We’re a playful, curious litter with all kinds of looks—some of us have adorable spots, others are soft and fluffy, and a few of us have sleek, short coats. We’re always on the move, chasing each other around and wrestling with our toys. Exploring is our favorite thing to do—we have to sniff and check out everything before we’re ready to settle in for cuddles. We love playing tug-of-war, pouncing on squeaky toys, and running in circles until we wear ourselves out. After all the fun, we’ll curl up in your lap or next to you for some much-needed naps and snuggles. We’re adventurous, smart, and super sweet—ready to bring lots of joy and laughter to our forever families! Could that be you? Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Welcome Dixie to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 9-month old Smooth Coated Collie/Kelpie is our best guess on breed. She weighs 50 pounds. She is very very loyal to her people and would be great with someone wanting a dog to go with you places or if you work from home and want a loyal partner. She is crate trained, potty trained, good on a leash and good in a car. She was found as a stray and her foster mom has been putting this girl through dog training. She is doing really good in her classes and is learning some more basic commands. She is a higher energy dog and would be great for a runner, jogger or hiker type person. She is lower on the shed scale. She has a lot of personality and would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. Her best home would be with a fenced yard. She could run and play off some energy. She likes you to be outside with her as she wants to be around her family over exploring the yard all along without you. She would be fine with children as well. We like them to be 8 or older. She is up on her vaccinations, spayed and ready for her forever home. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland(Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. We can put you in touch with her foster mom after you put in and get your application approved. We can also set up a meet and greet if you are local in Texas. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org/ See her cute video.

Story
Welcome Bear to CCPAL foster program. Bear is a young male that is 7 months old. He is 50% Border Collie mix and maybe Terrier or Lab. These puppies all love the water and would love a home that allows them to play in the water. He is the biggest of the 3 boys and a stronger but very sweet personality. He is the most outgoing of his litter. He has the long beautiful coat of the Border Collie. He is outgoing and social and is slightly less attentive than his two brothers. He should be 50 pounds full grown. He currently is about 27 pounds. He walks wonderfully on a leash and will be a wonderful family companion. He lives with children and is around goats in his farm house foster home. He has long beautiful and shinny fur. He is knows sit and can walk on a leash. He is good in a car and friendly with his litter mates. He hasn’t been around any other dogs but his litter mates. They are all boys. He has the striking looks of a Border Collie. We would love someone that knows and loves the breed to apply for Bear or any in this litter. He is outgoing enough to be the only dog or would be fine with another dog as well. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is 600. He is healthy, vaccinated, neutered and ready for his forever home. He can be in a home with children. We like them to be 8 or older. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions.
