She’s treat motivated and eager to learn.     Home Recommendation: Gianna would do best in an active home. Gianna has a typical German Shepherd temperament with regards to new people…a little cautious.   At home however she is sweet, spunky and full of energy.  She loves her people with her whole heart and is completely devoted to them.    She loves to play fetch, will be your constant companion and will love you like no other dog has!   Gianna is absolutely amazing and will make a wonderful addition to her forever home.    If you’re interested in meeting this amazing pup, please fill out an application at www.pawprintsnky.com. Weight: 60 lbs Breed: Labrador Retriever/Husky (best guess Neutered: Yes Vaccinated: Yes Microchipped: Yes Adoption Fee: $100.00 (plus tax) Foster Location: N Ky. Applicants must live within 2 hours of Florence, KY, no exceptions. Home Recommendation: Single Family. Fenced yard. He enjoys spending time in a fenced yard.  Not too long as he'll get bored and was an escape artist in his previous home (foster mom hasn't had this issue with him but he's not left outdoors for extended periods of time). Kids: He loves everyone, but he's going to barrel through your kids...and they're going to cry.  We don't want to be responsible for the tears. Crate Trained: Yes! All you need to do is throw a few pieces of kibble or a treat in his crate and he can't get in there fast enough. Cats: He's fine with cats and largely ignores them, but their food would have to be somewhere that he absolutely cannot access. Potty Trained: Yes! Dogs: He's great with other dogs...until it comes to food.  If there's a dropped treat or a crumb falls off of your plate while you're eating, he becomes obsessed.  For this reason, we feel he'd be best as the only dog. Leash Manners: You'll be hanging on for dear life.  No one told him he's a senior and he's as strong as an ox.  Probably best to stick to yard time, unless absolutely necessary to take him somewhere. He's a sweet senior who came to us when his owners decided his latest escape would be his last.  Pip ended up in the shelter a few too many times and they'd had enough of his escapades.  We're assuming he was left outdoors for long periods of time because he hasn't tried to escape once in his foster home.   Pip is a sweet, older (not so) gentleman who will do anything for food, and we mean anything.  He'll climb where you're sure there's no possible way he can climb, open cabinets, rip bags...you name it and he'll find a way.  Food needs to be stored away out of sight and locked securely away from his sensitive nose. He desperately needs a home to live out his senior years.  He's the nicest dog, will you give him a chance? His listing will be removed as soon as he has an approved application Please be honest! We have many people tell us what they think we want to read, not what's truthful. If there are discrepancies, your application will be denied. M **PLEASE READ ENTIRE BIO! Any additional questions, not answered in the bio may be asked via email at: pawprintsnky@gmail.com. This is to ensure a prompt response, as inquiries anywhere else may be missed. ****   Bamm-Bamm Available:  Yes Gender: Male Age: Approx. 9 years Weight: 7 lbs Breed: Chihuahua mix Neutered: Yes Vaccinated: Yes Microchipped: Yes Adoption Fee: $250.00 (plus tax) Foster Location: N Ky.   Applicants must live within 100 miles of Florence, KY, no exceptions.   Home Recommendation: Single Family. Fenced yard.  He talks back like a teenager oozing attitude and tends to like to be vocal (he *is* a Chihuahua), so a home that has walls that are shared with a neighbor won't work.  He will scream and act like you're killing him if you try to leash him, so a fenced in yard is a must. Oh, and he doesn't like to be picked up either.   He loves to be near his people and be as close as he can.      Cats: Well, he lives with cats and hasn't injured any, but he can sometimes be a jerk to them.  He'll randomly "guard" water dishes and other items, and he'll chase the cats away, but no teeth are involved.   Kids: Due to his size, he's not recommended for a home with younger children or where children visit often.   Crate Trained: He is crate trained but his foster family usually just leaves him loose.   Potty Trained: He really needs to have puppy pads out for him to use because he won't try to hold it until the next trip outside.   Dogs: He's a bit bossy but is okay with small dogs.  He screams like he's been injured when he sees a large dog, so those are a no for him.   Leash Manners: Nope, not happening.  Unless you want to lose the tips of your fingers and listen to a dog screaming, it's a no. Bamm-Bamm thinks he's a Coon Hound whose job is to "tree" squirrels and is happy to do so for hours when the weather is nice.  He's a busy little guy who is always on the move and not one to spend time sitting on anyone's lap.     Adoption Process: Step 1:    Complete a "no obligation" application located on our website at pawprintsnky.com under the applications tab. We’ve tried the more subtle approach and it’s not working, so blunt and brutal it is.   Paco needs a unicorn adopter.  He has some fear based issues so he’s horrible with new people.  His adopter will need to let Paco adjust at his own pace and ignore him for days, maybe longer, when he arrives in your home.  If you ignore our advice, he won’t hesitate to remind you that you’re moving too quickly and need to slow down, so no worries about wondering if you’re going at his speed or not.    He loves to sit on your lap and wants to be close to you all the time.  If you need a lap warmer, he’s your man.  That doesn’t in any way mean he likes to be picked up (again, he’ll remind you of his disdain if you try).   We don’t even try to bathe him because we would like to keep all of our fingers.     Don’t adopt him with the idea that he’ll someday be warm and fuzzy with visitors, it’s a nice thought but he’s probably never going to be that dog.     The good...once he trusts you he loves you and he needs your life to revolve around him.  He forms a strong attachment to one person and wants to be the love of your life   He becomes so attached that he is recommended for a single person home   More good...he likes big dogs.  He tolerates small dogs (although he can be a bit bossy) but appreciates the friendship of a bigger dog (especially if they let him run underneath them when he’s frightened).  He’s okay with dog-savvy cats but he’ll be bossy and chase (no biting) cats who won’t stand their ground. A dog experienced person who has as much of a dislike for other humans as Paco does would be a perfect match for him.  Because he doesn’t like people, walks aren’t his thing.  He does love running in a fenced in yard though, and he’ll alert you to every falling leaf, neighbors 5 houses down who has the audacity to be carrying their groceries inside and when the wind changes direction   You’ll never miss any of the neighborhood happenings with Paco around    Paco is a 6 year old Chihuahua/Dachshund who has spent entirely too much time in his foster home.   He adores his foster mom but it’s time for him to plant some permanent roots    He’s neutered, heartworm negative and up to date on vaccines. You can find an adoption application at www.pawprintsnky.com. Once the application is submitted, please expect someone to email you with questions and/or provide more information about the dog is we are unsure that the dog may be a good fit.   Most importantly, please be honest!  We have many people tell us what they think we want to read, not what's truthful.  If there are discrepancies, your application will be denied.  It's important for us to place dogs in a home that's suitable.  You may be a stellar owner but possibly not a good fit for the dog you were first interested in adopting.  We're not trying to offend anyone, we're trying to set everyone up for success.    We're a best fit rescue and will verify your vet and personal references. *Chihuahua/Dachshund *6 years old *11 lbs *Good with cats and dogs (including large dogs) *Not recommended for a home with children or one where children visit   * Best in a single person home but may adjust to a home with two people    * No homes that share walls with neighbors  * Needs a fenced in yard as he does not do well on walks *Adopters must live within 2 hours of Florence, KY *Adoption fee is $300.00    April 1, 2024, 8:57 pm

**PLEASE READ ENTIRE BIO! Any additional questions, not answered in the bio may be asked via email at: pawprintsnky@gmail.com. This is to ensure a prompt response, as inquiries anywhere else may be missed. **** Chloe Available:  Yes Gender: Female Age: 6 years Weight: 6 lbs Breed: Chihuahua Mix Spayed: Yes Vaccinated: Yes Microchipped: Yes Adoption Fee: $300.00 (plus tax) Location: Adopters must live within 100 miles of Florence, KY She is not a hypoallergenic dog, so her hair does not grow any longer than what's visible in her photos.   Home Recommendation: Single Family. Fenced yard.  Chloe is a skittish dog so needs a home with a fenced in yard.  She will need time to acclimate to her new home and needs a fence to keep her safe.  She does not enjoy taking walks and finds them to be very scary.   She is a trip hazard so a home with someone with mobility issues would not be a good match.   Cats: She's a bit bossy with cats and because of this we recommend a home without them. We will consider a home with cats that are very dog savvy.  Kids: Chloe is timid and would do best in a quieter home. She tends to hide when there are loud noises. Older children should be fine as long as they understand she may take time to adjust.  Potty Trained: Chloe does really well on a scheduled. She may not signal that she needs to go out, but routine helps prevent accidents. She is also used to having access to pee pads and uses them.  Dogs: Chloe can be a bit nervous with larger dogs and does best with dogs similar to her small size. We are REQUIRING another dog to be in the home with her. This will help her nervous personality adjust to her knew home.  Leash Manners: Chloe prefers the comfort of her own yard and therefor has not had much leash training.  Adoption Process: Step 1:     Complete a "no obligation" application located on our website at pawprintsnky.com under the applications tab. Step 2:     PawPrints will review the application, verifying Vet and personal references as well as landlord requirements/restrictions (if applicable) Step 3:     IF your application is approved, we will call you to schedule a meet and greet for you to meet the pet. &#226&#128&#139Step 4:    If the meet and greet goes well, we will schedule the home visit.  April 1, 2024, 8:57 pm

That's me, Calypso! My favorite things are to chase after my foster brother, be anywhere near my foster mom, and nap! My breed is notorious for intelligence and high energy, so I would really love my fur-ever home to do at home or even professional training classes with me to keep me engaged and active. I'm just a baby, so I'm still learning all things I need to know to be the best dog I can be! I sleep really well in a crate at night when I'm in close proximity to my foster mom, but I'm not the biggest fan of the crate during the day, so I might cry when you leave. My foster mom is working on this with me so I can feel comfortable in the crate all by myself! I love my foster brother and any other dogs I meet, but I can sometimes be too much for them, so any dog in my fur-ever home should be able to tolerate my puppy antics. If you have a cat, I'm leaning to respect them and their space, but I really just want to play! I love all people I meet, so kids should be no exception! Of course, I still have sharp puppy teeth, so any tiny human in my home should be a little older so no one accidentally gets hurt. I'm still getting the hang of this potty training thing, so I might still have a few accidents in the house. But my foster mom says I'm getting better with it every day! I've already been spayed, vaccinated, dewormed and micro-chipped.   Adoption Process: Step 1:    Complete a "no obligation" application located on our website at pawprintsnky.com under the applications tab.
