Story
Brooklyn aka Brookie. Perfect pocket pup. Loves to be held, likes dogs of all sizes and friendly with the cat. She is good with kids, men and women. She is quiet in her crate. She is working on potty training. Does not mess in her crate. She doesn't chew anything up, but does love to play with plushy toys. She's super easy going and just wants to be where everyone else is! Perfect for a family with a dog or no dog and will not pester the resident cat or kids! She's really cute and reminds me of Toto so someone help her click her red heals and find her place that's just like home.

Story
Muffy has been raised around other dogs and he does ok with one other dog. We have a Pomeranian and they are best friends but when my kids bring their dogs over he doesn’t get along with them. He just tries to protect the Pomeranian. He usually hides from younger children as my grandsons are a bit wild. But he can fall usually head over heels in love with his owner (usually females).

Story
Everyone meet Goldie! She’s a 5 year old doodle. Full transparency she will be a flight risk until she earns your trust. She spent 8 1/2 weeks on the run and had to be trapped after getting away from a new person. Shes been back with her foster and is a completely different dog after being back she snuggles, seeks being beside you, jumping on the bed to sleep, even approaching new people that come in the house. Once she earns your trust I do not think she will ever leave your side or be a risk of running but she has to have time to earn your trust. This may take months for her but I know the right person is out there. She requires a patient adopter, fenced yard, and another dog that is welcoming and willing to show her the ropes. She is crate trained, hasn’t had any accidents, and doing well on leash walks with another dog. I know her perfect family is out there. You will never have a dog that loves you as much as she will.

Story
Dolly is the cutest, sweetest pup that needs a home with no young kids. We aren’t sure of her past as she was a stray and not reclaimed from the shelter. She is a nervous girl that deserves a loving family. She follows foster dad all over, and comes and gets him when she wants to sit in the recliner with him or have him hold her 24/7. She even tries talking to him in her adorable way. We are working on potty training. We feel it won't take long to get on a schedule and should be easy to get her 100%. She's very smart and needs a quieter home, so if you have love and can work with a scared baby, she will be the best girl ever. She is fully vetted and microchipped.

Weight: 60 lbs Breed: Labrador Retriever/Husky (best guess Neutered: Yes Vaccinated: Yes Microchipped: Yes Adoption Fee: $100.00 (plus tax) Foster Location: N Ky. Applicants must live within 2 hours of Florence, KY, no exceptions. Home Recommendation: Single Family. Fenced yard. He enjoys spending time in a fenced yard.  Not too long as he'll get bored and was an escape artist in his previous home (foster mom hasn't had this issue with him but he's not left outdoors for extended periods of time). Kids: He loves everyone, but he's going to barrel through your kids...and they're going to cry.  We don't want to be responsible for the tears. Crate Trained: Yes! All you need to do is throw a few pieces of kibble or a treat in his crate and he can't get in there fast enough. Cats: He's fine with cats and largely ignores them, but their food would have to be somewhere that he absolutely cannot access. Potty Trained: Yes! Dogs: He's great with other dogs...until it comes to food.  If there's a dropped treat or a crumb falls off of your plate while you're eating, he becomes obsessed.  For this reason, we feel he'd be best as the only dog. Leash Manners: You'll be hanging on for dear life.  No one told him he's a senior and he's as strong as an ox.  Probably best to stick to yard time, unless absolutely necessary to take him somewhere. He's a sweet senior who came to us when his owners decided his latest escape would be his last.  Pip ended up in the shelter a few too many times and they'd had enough of his escapades.  We're assuming he was left outdoors for long periods of time because he hasn't tried to escape once in his foster home.   Pip is a sweet, older (not so) gentleman who will do anything for food, and we mean anything.  He'll climb where you're sure there's no possible way he can climb, open cabinets, rip bags...you name it and he'll find a way.  Food needs to be stored away out of sight and locked securely away from his sensitive nose. He desperately needs a home to live out his senior years.  He's the nicest dog, will you give him a chance? His listing will be removed as soon as he has an approved application Please be honest! We have many people tell us what they think we want to read, not what's truthful. If there are discrepancies, your application will be denied. It's important for us to place dogs in a home that's suitable. You may be a stellar owner but possibly not a good fit for the dog you were first interested in adopting. We're not trying to offend anyone, we're trying to set everyone up for success. We're a best fit rescue and will verify your vet and personal references.      October 12, 2024, 12:11 pm
