Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Ginger.  This sweet girl is about seven years old.  She is a Beagle/Chihuahua mix with short hair that does not shed or need grooming. Ginger is spayed, up to date on her veterinary needs and weighs a trim 16 pounds. She is house trained and walks well on a leash but does not show the need to go outside often as she is very comfortable lounging in the house.  Ginger gets along very well with her other dog friends and does not mind cats,  She is good with children and very affectionate once she is familiar with people.  Her experience has made her quite resourceful and she will 'ask' for extra treats so she can hide them for a rainy day along with other treasures she may find.   Ginger would be a loyal and loving companion in a relatively calm environment with few people. As her foster, she has been a true pleasure to have and watch her blossom into a very happy furry friend.    Ginger does have a treatable condition called Polycythemia Vera.  This is a condition that causes too high of a red blood cell count.  The treatment is blood letting every 10 weeks.  With this simple treatment, Ginger will lead a normal happy life.  If Ginger's adopter continues to use our veterinarian, there is a grant set up to pay for the treatment of her condition.  She exhibits no symptoms from this condition.   Can you find it in your heart to help this good girl?  She will love you with her whole heart.Adoption Fee:  $200Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 5, 2025, 10:51 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Ramona! UPDATE May 2, 2025:Romona is now potty trained and is loving going outside and playing with her foster siblings!!  (When Ramona first came into rescue she was terrified of being outside and would only use potty pads indoors, so this is a huge step forward for Roamona!)This little one is really making progress.  She now enjoys individual attention.  Ramona has made a remarkable journey and will make a special person a wonderful pet.  You can read the earlier posts about her and see how far she has come.UPDATE Dec 17, 2024:   Ramona is really starting to open up and trust.  She is starting to let her foster parents pet her and even rub her belly!    She constantly follows her foster mom around and stays right by her side.  Initial post:This little cutie hasn’t had the best start in life but she’s ready to find her person and/or forever family.   Ramona came from a bad hoarding situation,  this sweet girl had never been outside until she came into foster care. She is ~ 22 months old, 12.6lbs, UTD on vaccines and spayed. Ramona needs a very patient person.  She is still very scared and takes a while to warm up to you.  She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and LOVES playing with toys and her foster siblings.  Ramona is still terrified to go outside but she is pee pad and kennel trained.  She will need a kennel of some sort, this is her safe space where she feels comfortable.  Ramona will not immediately warm up to you and will take time to get comfortable and trust you.  She has slowly started letting her foster parents touch her and take treats from their hands. She gets very excited and acts like she wants to be petted but just not quite sure yet.   Ramona will need a lot of patience, love, and understanding.  She has been through a lot but is healing and getting more trustful everyday.  She is a sweet pup who deserves to find a loving home. Are you that special person Ramona needs to live her best life?  Adoption fee $200Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 25, 2025, 5:44 pm

Story
Free! Roxy is a sweet, loyal mixed breed (Shar Pei/Beagle/Lab mix) who is about 8-9 years old. She’s been a beloved part of our family for the past two years, and this decision to rehome her comes with a very heavy heart. Roxy is incredibly affectionate and loves to be close to her people. She’s happiest curled up beside you or following you around the house. She bonds deeply and is the definition of loyal. She is house trained but does best when someone can supervise her potty breaks, as she sometimes struggles to go when she’s outside alone. Roxy has some separation anxiety and needs a calm, patient home that can help her feel safe and secure. She gets along with some other dogs after slow introductions but cannot live with cats. Because she’s sensitive and startles easily, she’d do best in a quieter home, ideally with older kids or adults only. Roxy would make a wonderful companion for someone who’s home often and wants a loyal, loving dog to share their days with.
