Story
Hello! My name is OJ, and I sure am the coolest pup on the block! I am a young dog, so you will find that while I am friendly and playful, I mostly have a gentle and calm disposition. We will have so much fun just hanging out - especially if you have treats for me! Do you like to go for walks? I love to walk and I am great on a leash - I walk at a very nice pace. So that tells you I am smart! My forever family can be just one person or many more -I have been around kids, dogs and even ferrets. My good nature helps me to get along with people quite nicely. If you have kids and/or a dog at home, it is highly encouraged that you bring them along to the shelter to meet me and see if it`ll be a good fit! Please come and spend some time with me!

Story
She’s not loud. She’s not bold. She’s not going to run up and sell herself in 30 seconds. She’s the one watching from the corner… quietly trying to figure it all out.And lately? She’s starting to.In foster, Ferry is already showing us little glimpses:• Following her person from room to room• Eating like she’s been personally offended by hunger• Learning that outside = okay (still suspicious, but improving)• Picking her circle carefully… and once you’re in, you’re inShe doesn’t need chaos. She doesn’t need pressure. She needs someone who understands that trust isn’t instant—it’s earned.Because one day… this dog is going to look at her person like they hung the moon. And if you know… you know.Available for adoption from foster Best in a calm, patient homeNot for everyone—but everything to the right one! Story
Say hello to Dozer. This beautiful boy did not have the easiest start to life, having been rescued from a hoarding situation with multiple other dogs. Now that he is out of that situation, he is learning how to decompress and to trust again. One thing that has helped Dozer open up is being in playgroup with other dogs. He was nervous at first, but quickly realized that playgroup is a fun, safe space where he can exist and be himself in the company of other friendly dogs. He is still slow to open up to humans, but has made strides with our staff and volunteers as we show him kindness, patience, and consistency.Dozer needs a loving home to show him that having a family is not a scary thing- it`s the best thing a dog can ask for. If your home and heart have the space for a boy like him, come visit SPCA Cincinnati today.

Story
This dude is Able, and he`s a pretty chill guy! He knows how to dap you up if you ask, enjoys having a family to love on, and is good with kids. He`s pretty friendly and likes to meet new people, and is very patient around young kids 5 and older. Apparently, he thinks crawling babies are small dogs, and will try to play with them the way he does with puppies, so it`s best if he only interacts with humans that are upright on their feet. When it comes to other dogs, he needs time to see if they`re friendly first, and needs plenty of space to make his judgement. Ultimately, he prefers the company of people, and doesn`t care for other dogs.Able is a dog that enjoys being pet, rubbed all over, and loved on more than anything else. If he could be pet all day, he would. When he has to go to the bathroom, he will talk to you to let you know, though if you take too long, he might just let himself out; he is able to push open screen doors! He is a dog who needs a great, loving family that can spend plenty of time with him. If you have the perfect home for this fine fella, consider coming down to SPCA Cincinnati and paying him a visit!
