Story
Shadow isn’t just a dog — he’s the full package: outdoorsy enough to conquer a weekend camping trip, mellow enough to nap through a thunderstorm, and loyal enough to follow your every move (hence the name). He just spent a week roughing it with his foster family and proved he’s a total catch — smart, funny, affectionate, and perfectly content just being wherever his people are. He’s been working hard on clicker training and confidence building, and he’s absolutely thriving with structure, love, and a soft spot to land.Shadow would do best in a calm home with someone (who will continue his training) who appreciates a good balance of adventure and relaxation — bonus points if you’ve got great snack options and a comfy couch. He’s available through his foster home, so meet-and-greets are by appointment only.To set one up, contact:Lauri Ann (LA) – 513-687-7598Shadow’s ready to leave “foster dog” in the rearview mirror and finally become somebody’s “best boy.”

Story
Say hello to Brownie! This adorable, CHUNKY 5-year-old Shepherd mix has just arrived at the SPCA, and he’s already become a staff favorite. With his cute round cheeks, wagging tail, and irresistible charm, Brownie is the definition of a sweet treat.Brownie is a gentle guy with a big heart (and an even bigger belly!), and he’s settling in beautifully as he gets to know his new surroundings. Since he’s still new to us, we’re not yet sure how he feels about other dogs or children, but we’re learning more about him every day. What we do know is that Brownie loves attention, enjoys a good stroll, and is always ready for a snack or two. He’s the perfect companion for someone looking for a calm, affectionate, and slightly goofy buddy to share their home — and their couch!Brownie is ready to start his next chapter, and he can’t wait to find a family who will love him just as he is. Come meet this sweet, chunky boy and let him melt your heart.

Story
Meet Arnie! At just over a year old, this boy is an extroverted, energetic lovebug who is eager to start a new adventure with his forever family. Arnie is very energetic and loves to explore and run, especially outside! He would love to have a large yard to call his own, or an active family that wants to take him on hikes and jogs as much as his heart desires. Arnie is a sweetheart who loves everyone he meets, greeting you with an excited tail wag and kisses. He loves to get pets and just wants to be engaged with whatever his people are doing.Arnie does really well with children! He also has experience with other dogs, and has done well. We do not know if he does well with cats. Interestingly enough, Arnie also has experience with livestock animals- his previous owner said he would visit the neighbor`s pigs and try to play with them! In his previous home, Arnie was house-trained and crate-trained, but there may be an adjustment period when he goes home with his new family. Arnie also knows the commands `sit` and `paw`! He is treat-motivated and eager to perform his tricks for a yummy snack. At his age and energy level, Arnie would really benefit from ongoing training and lots of enrichment to keep his active mind stimulated. If this handsome guy sounds like the perfect way to bring some positive energy into your life, come visit him at SPCA Cincinnati today!
