Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Lincoln – A True Survivor with a Joyful Spirit! Lincoln is a handsome lab mix male, born on 09/23/2021, and weighing a solid 56 pounds. His life began with immense challenges: he was part of a litter of six who sadly lost their mother at just one week old. Tragedy struck again when the entire litter contracted distemper, and Lincoln became the sole survivor of his brave siblings. Lincoln was adopted out and had a family for over a year.  He exceled in the home environment.  Unfortunately through no fault of his own he was brought back when his adopter had a living arrangement change.  Despite the difficult start, Lincoln is an incredibly happy and resilient pup. He does have some lasting after-effects of the distemper—he “grooves with the music like Ray Charles,” moving with a unique and endearing rhythm that only adds to his charm. This energetic boy loves life, spending his days happily playing with his canine friends and chewing enthusiastically on all his favorite toys. Lincoln is looking for an active person or family that can keep up with him! He needs an environment where he can get plenty of exercise, engage in training, and channel his lively energy in positive ways. If you are looking for a loyal, spirited companion who embodies the meaning of resilience, Lincoln is the dog for you. To schedule a meeting with this remarkable boy, please complete an application on our website: www.adoggie4you.org This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $250. We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 7, 2026, 1:30 pm
