Joy is a very friendly and social dog. She loves to give and receive affection, some might say she’s a bit of an overgrown lapdog. She has no history of biting or aggression. We are seeking a new loving home for her as we are unable to continue caring for her the way she deserves.

Story
This is our boy Archie. He is four years old. He’s always been a sweet loving boy but, has never been good with hectic surroundings. He is very selective on the dogs and people that he likes, but when he likes them, he really does. He tends to be reactive at times. I have a one and a half-year-old and have been trying for that long to get him used to her. He liked her until she started moving around and making noise. He has also attacked my cats many times, but only when they are being crazy. I noticed he’ll do well until there is hyperactivity I’ve tried to train him out of it myself, but it hasn’t worked. My daughter fell out of the highchair, and, in the middle of all the chaos, he ended up attacking my thigh. He has never bit before, and I think the chaos of the situation made him react that way. He growls at my daughter when she’s running up to him. He needs a kid free place, someone who can work with him on his issues. I love him so much but he is a danger to my child.

Story
Ophelia has had a really rough life. She came back to us malnourished and with a skin infection. She has been treated for these issues but is still pretty confused as to why she has been so neglected. It hasn't stopped her though from showing us her love for fetch and all the attention you can offer her! If you can look past this girl's sad past and show her that the world isn't so bad after all then call and make an appointment today!

Story
Wishbone is a friendly, fun loving, goofball. He would make the best hiking buddy, he is easy and obedient on a leash and LOVES exploring the world around him! He always has a smile on his face when he is with his favorite people, and I promise that smile is contagious. The one thing that Wishbone does not like are his favorite things (food, high value treats, certain toys) being messed with, so he will be happiest in a home that understands and respects his boundaries. If you are interested in helping him work out his quirks, give us a call and find out more! With the right care and guidance, he will be your best friend and make you laugh every day!

Pony

Hound (Unknown Type)

Male, Adult
Batavia, OH
Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
Spayed or Neutered,
Story
When Pony first came to us, he was absolutely emaciated. He looked like a skeleton, and had lots of scars and bald patches. It took him some time to heal up but he is now at a healthy weight with no baldness noted. He sure has come a long way since we first met him. Unfortunately due to his traumatic past, he does struggle with resource guarding. He is so afraid that each meal may be his last that he can't quite get out of that survival mindset. This is something that with training can be improved but may be a quirk that will be managed long term. Pony is also very intelligent, very handsome, and very affectionate. He loves to rub up against you for scritches like a cat would. He is very trainable and is truly excelling in his work with our trainer. He is a very good boy and would love to show you just how special he is. Come meet him today!
