Story
Please, email rescue@fuse.net and request an application. Louie the Lover! Looks and acts like a YORKIE. The people who surrendered him said they were told he was a Yorkie/Maltese mix. He was a GIFT that they really didn't need! I only see YORKIE but maybe since he is only 6 pounds...maybe he gets the small Maltese size. But, the looks and the coat colors and growth are Yorkie for sure. Louie will require grooming! Our rescue took Louie in at the end of April. At that time Louie could not walk on 4 legs - only HOP on his back legs. Louie was in horrible shape...starving, 2 injured front legs and was one phone call away from a bullet on a farm. Since April 24, he has been a miracle boy. He eats Solid Gold kibble and loves 1/8 section of Fresh Pet chicken each day. He can run like the wind on all 4 legs and can even go up and down stairs. We are working on his housebreaking but he is not there yet. He sleeps in a canvas crate which can go with him. He sleeps in his crate without a diaper and sleeps a good 7-8 hours. During the day, he runs and plays and runs and plays. Louie is up to date on shots. We have not gotten him neutered yet because the vet felt the extra hormones are assisting the recovery of his front leg growth plates. Neuter with microchipping is included in the adoption fee. We have marked him neutered because that is not an option. He will be neutered when the vet says it is good for him. Louie is a typical 8 month puppy....full of energy and fun. He loves people and other dogs and cats. He seems to travel well and the groomer said he is a DELIGHT! We are looking for an experienced, small dog owner with a good vet history of dog ownership. If you think you are a good match for our Louie, please, email rescue@fuse.net and request an application. The foster mom will also be happy to answer any questions. Adoption fee will "help" us pay for his neuter and other expenses that we have incurred. Personality traits Affectionate, Friendly, Funny, Playful

Story
This is an amazing dog named Oliver or Ollie. He’s about 35% German shepherd, 20% Labrador and some other breeds mixed in as well. He is extremely smart and knows 8-9 commands. Very loyal and lovable. Will be an awesome addition to a loving home. I only need to rehome him due to personal circumstances. He doesn’t get along with my girlfriend’s dog. But, he gets along great with 99% of dogs. I take him to the dog park regularly with no issues. He’s smart as a whip and eager to please. Lots of love in this little dog. If you’re interested please reach me at (xxx) xxx-xxxx or email me at xxxx@xxxx.x

She’s treat motivated and eager to learn.     Home Recommendation: Gianna would do best in an active home. Gianna has a typical German Shepherd temperament with regards to new people…a little cautious.   At home however she is sweet, spunky and full of energy.  She loves her people with her whole heart and is completely devoted to them.    She loves to play fetch, will be your constant companion and will love you like no other dog has!   Gianna is absolutely amazing and will make a wonderful addition to her forever home.    If you’re interested in meeting this amazing pup, please fill out an application at www.pawprintsnky.com. Her listing will be removed as soon as he has an approved application Most importantly, please be honest!  We have many people tell us what they think we want to read, not what's truthful.  If there are discrepancies, your application will be denied.  It's important for us to place dogs in a home that's suitable.  You may be a stellar owner but possibly not a good fit for the dog you were first interested in adopting.  We're not trying to offend anyone, we're trying to set everyone up for success.    We're a best fit rescue and will verify your vet and personal references.  July 19, 2024, 12:13 am

Weight: 60 lbs Breed: Labrador Retriever/Husky (best guess Neutered: Yes Vaccinated: Yes Microchipped: Yes Adoption Fee: $100.00 (plus tax) Foster Location: N Ky. Applicants must live within 2 hours of Florence, KY, no exceptions. Home Recommendation: Single Family. Fenced yard. He enjoys spending time in a fenced yard.  Not too long as he'll get bored and was an escape artist in his previous home (foster mom hasn't had this issue with him but he's not left outdoors for extended periods of time). Kids: He loves everyone, but he's going to barrel through your kids...and they're going to cry.  We don't want to be responsible for the tears. Crate Trained: Yes! All you need to do is throw a few pieces of kibble or a treat in his crate and he can't get in there fast enough. Cats: He's fine with cats and largely ignores them, but their food would have to be somewhere that he absolutely cannot access. Potty Trained: Yes! Dogs: He's great with other dogs...until it comes to food.  If there's a dropped treat or a crumb falls off of your plate while you're eating, he becomes obsessed.  For this reason, we feel he'd be best as the only dog. Leash Manners: You'll be hanging on for dear life.  No one told him he's a senior and he's as strong as an ox.  Probably best to stick to yard time, unless absolutely necessary to take him somewhere. He's a sweet senior who came to us when his owners decided his latest escape would be his last.  Pip ended up in the shelter a few too many times and they'd had enough of his escapades.  We're assuming he was left outdoors for long periods of time because he hasn't tried to escape once in his foster home.   Pip is a sweet, older (not so) gentleman who will do anything for food, and we mean anything.  He'll climb where you're sure there's no possible way he can climb, open cabinets, rip bags...you name it and he'll find a way.  Food needs to be stored away out of sight and locked securely away from his sensitive nose. He desperately needs a home to live out his senior years.  He's the nicest dog, will you give him a chance? His listing will be removed as soon as he has an approved application Please be honest! We have many people tell us what they think we want to read, not what's truthful. If there are discrepancies, your application will be denied. M **PLEASE READ ENTIRE BIO! Any additional questions, not answered in the bio may be asked via email at: pawprintsnky@gmail.com. This is to ensure a prompt response, as inquiries anywhere else may be missed. ****   Bamm-Bamm Available:  Yes Gender: Male Age: Approx. 9 years Weight: 7 lbs Breed: Chihuahua mix Neutered: Yes Vaccinated: Yes Microchipped: Yes Adoption Fee: $250.00 (plus tax) Foster Location: N Ky.   Applicants must live within 100 miles of Florence, KY, no exceptions.   Home Recommendation: Single Family. Fenced yard.  He talks back like a teenager oozing attitude and tends to like to be vocal (he *is* a Chihuahua), so a home that has walls that are shared with a neighbor won't work.  He will scream and act like you're killing him if you try to leash him, so a fenced in yard is a must. Oh, and he doesn't like to be picked up either.   He loves to be near his people and be as close as he can.      Cats: Well, he lives with cats and hasn't injured any, but he can sometimes be a jerk to them.  He'll randomly "guard" water dishes and other items, and he'll chase the cats away, but no teeth are involved.   Kids: Due to his size, he's not recommended for a home with younger children or where children visit often.   Crate Trained: He is crate trained but his foster family usually just leaves him loose.   Potty Trained: He really needs to have puppy pads out for him to use because he won't try to hold it until the next trip outside.   Dogs: He's a bit bossy but is okay with small dogs.  He screams like he's been injured when he sees a large dog, so those are a no for him.   Leash Manners: Nope, not happening.  Unless you want to lose the tips of your fingers and listen to a dog screaming, it's a no. Bamm-Bamm thinks he's a Coon Hound whose job is to "tree" squirrels and is happy to do so for hours when the weather is nice.  He's a busy little guy who is always on the move and not one to spend time sitting on anyone's lap.     Adoption Process: Step 1:    Complete a "no obligation" application located on our website at pawprintsnky.com under the applications tab.
