Hi, I am Rosie and I am super shy. I am about 6 years old, have been with HART since June 2021 and am looking for a home to call my own. I came from a hoarding situation where over 150 doggies just like me were living together in a small house. My ideal space will either be with one of my friends (King is extra snuggly) or in a home with a dog about my size to hang around. I am a pretty easy going gal and am not territorial about my food, toys or treats. I don't mind cats but a doggie friend is a must for me. I am happiest if I get to roam around a yard with a fence as I have rarely been on a leash and just don't like it. I think I could learn to love humans and their attention but I will need time and patience as I am just learning what it is like to be loved. Think you might be the family for me? Do you want a small dog companion but NOT a lap dog? Do you want a dog who will run from you rather than towards you? Do you want a dog who prefers the company of other dogs over you? Well then I have got the perfect dog for you!! Please give a warm welcome to Clementine! In all seriousness, she is an adorable little girl. Clementine came to Hart in June 2021 and has been in the same foster home ever since. She with so many others was rescued from a hoarding situation in Tennessee. To this day, she still exhibits nervousness around people. For this reason, she is looking for a very special adopter. The adopter will need to be very patient with her and give her ample time to show her brand of affection. While she still runs from me if I try to approach her to pet her, she does make her way over to me at bedtime for lovings. She will even sleep in bed with me and give me some sweet kisses. But when it’s time to get up, she darts away again. I truly can’t explain it but I have learned to accept it. Clementine does great with her doggy friends. She is most comfortable with other dogs. The ideal adopter will have another dog in the home that will groom and “mother” her. She loves having a dog around that she can curl up with!! Also, since she is hard to catch, a fenced in yard would be best for her. Due to the fact that Clementine can be a challenge to catch and she does not come when called, any meet/greets will have to be done at the adopter’s home and only within 25 miles of the Northern Kentucky area. PS Guard your socks. She loves socks (haha)

Meet Trenton! This good boy is the whole package! He is a mixed breed, best guess English pointer/boxer mix, and no one breed is evident. He is 2-year-old medium sized (55 pound) love bug who is gentle and adores kids. He is house trained. It does not appear he has been taught basic commands, but he should be a quick learner as he learned the doggy door ropes in a single day. The crate is not his favorite. He will go in when bribed with delicious treats and sleep quietly through the night. He mimics the vibe of the house by playing when we are active and snuggling on couch when we are quiet. He also gets along with other dogs, playing or backing off at the appropriate times. As he has settled into his foster home, he has started wrestling with the alpha dog of the house. Trenton deserves someone who will shower him with attention, car rides and rounds of fetch. He is everyone’s best friend, can he be yours? Trenton is neutered and up to date on all vaccines, flea and heartworm medication.

Treats make my tail wag, and I'm a smart, gentle soul eager to please my new family. A certified conversationalist, I'll gaze into your eyes as we share our thoughts. Rescued with my brother Celery after a West Virginia tornado, my foster parents adored us. While they can only keep one of us due to some sibling logistics, I come with heaps of love, ready to capture your heart. I'm an 70lb Border Collie German Shepherd mix, currently living harmoniously with two fabulous female dogs. I'm open to meeting more furry friends, with a preference for females. Cats, however, aren't my cup of tea. Dreaming of a bustling home with kids and furry companions, a fenced-in yard or a sprawling farm would be ideal. Story

Gravy is a 3 year old great pyrenees/hound mix that weighs around 50 pounds. She is a bit reserved but loves her people and dogs once she is used to you. She gets along great with other dogs and has even spent some time at doggy daycare making some friends. Gravy does get scared easily with loud, unexpected noises so we think she would do best in a home without young children or with older children that can understand her boundaries. She has been tested around cats and they do not seem to bother her. Overall she is a very relaxed dog who just loves to hang out with you on the couch once she gets to know you. She loves giving kisses to you and other dogs in the house once she is comfortable. She is potty trained and crate trained but has also been tested out of the crate during quick trips away from home and she did great. She will just need someone who is willing to be patient and help her gain her confidence again. Hi! My name is Princess and I am a 5 year, possible catahoula/mountain curr mix and I weigh 49 pounds. My previous owners had to move and their new home didn't allow pets. I am a happy dog and I'm like a Walmart greeter - everyone is my friend. I know how to sit when told and shake. One of my favorite things to do is to go for walks. I try my best to behave but can tug on the leash here and there. And if I see a squirrel, I tug hard for a moment or two. I really want to chase them. I am a smart girl but with a bit of patience and training, I will be a well behaved dog. I currently live with another larger dog. We are good buddies. When I go to the dog park, I am cautious and curious around other dogs. When the leash is off, I love to run super fast.
