Story
Luna is 4 years old, and we have had her since she was about 10 weeks. She's about 60-65lbs. Pretty small but a strong build. She's a pitt-mix, has some herding, lab, and pitt in her. She's very sweet with her humans. Our priority is for her to find a home that is ideal for her and her owners. After consulting with a trainer and what we know about her, this would be a home that is on some land, maybe a dirt road or not a busy neighborhood, with a humans who live a quiet life (no kids) and who want to "train" her and help bring her anxiety down via environment or maybe additional medication. Strengths: still young, can be left loose in the house, no bite history, good with dogs and lives with a cat, no firework or thunder phobia, used to an electric fence, no significant medical or health issues, 2 funded training lessonsNeeds: home without kids and frequent visitors (calm/quiet environment), continued training and med support, not eligible for daycare, fear of vet visits

Story
Norm was brought into our lives at 9 weeks old from a shelter and has been a good boy for the last few years. He has an "eeyore" like personality, loves snuggles, his big red herding ball, swimming, fetch, and FOOD. Norm is extremely trainable and food motivated and can walk quite nicely on a slip lead figure 8 attached leash. We are heartbroken that we need to rehome Norm because he really only has one behavior issue - he has shown signs of resource guarding around our 13 month old child. He has not shown aggression, just warning communication through growl/snarled lip and we're playing it safe. We have done training and he comes with lifetime support from Dog Wizard. He's familiar with training that can redirect him from poor behavior. Norm should be in a home without children, with a fenced yard, and can be with other dogs, pending introduction. He should be in a relaxed home with predictable routine. He will make the most loyal companion to someone looking for a really good boy.

Carly

American Pit Bull Terrier Boxer

Female, Adult
Ypsilanti, MI
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Carly joined our family in 2018 after we adopted her from a foster home, and she still has just as much energy and enthusiasm as she did the day we brought her home. She's a big, goofy sweetheart who loves playing fetch, wiggling with excitement, and making everyone around her smile. Carly has been an incredible companion, and this is a decision we've made purely because we love her. She deserves a home where she can have more time, attention, play, and companionship than we're able to give her right now. Our greatest hope is to find a family who will cherish her as much as we do and let her continue being the happy, playful dog she's always been.

Story
Dixie is a sweet, energetic dog who is about 7 years old. We adopted her at 4 months old in Miami, FL, and she has been a big part of our lives ever since. She loves to play, run outside (especially in the snow!), and also enjoys lounging on lazy days. Dixie is very alert and makes a great “alarm dog,” always letting you know when someone is nearby. She is affectionate, fun-loving, and loyal once she bonds with you.Rehoming Dixie is a very difficult decision, but as our family has grown we’ve learned she is good with babies and older kids but not as comfortable around toddlers who don’t always respect her space and cues. We now have two toddlers and an infant, and we want what’s best for everyone involved. With our increasingly busy lives, we haven’t been able to give her the time

Story
Nala was born June 18, 2014, and has been with me since I adopted her at about 3 months old. She is an incredibly sweet, gentle and quiet girl who loves attention, being petted and cuddling with her person. She rarely barks, but she has some hilarious exceptions! If she sees dogs or animals on TV, she'll run right up to the screen and bark at them. She also dislikes treadmills, and the vacuum cleaner is her arch nemesis—she seems convinced it's out to get me and will get between us, barking and trying to protect me from it!As Nala has entered her senior years, she has developed recurring stomach issues, that require more time, attention, veterinary care and financial resources than I’m struggling to continue to provide. Especially time and ongoing costs. After more than a decade together, rehoming her is incredibly difficult. I'm looking for a loving home with the time, patience and resources to give this sweet senior girl the care, comfort and affection she deserves. ❤️🐾

Story
Bella joined our family in 2020 from the same rescue as Carly and she has been nothing but love from the very beginning. Bella is the sweetest dog and simply wants to snuggle with anyone willing to give her attention. She has a gentle, affectionate personality and is happiest curled up beside her people. As much as we love her, our circumstances have changed, and we can no longer provide the time and attention she truly deserves. Our hope is to find Bella a home where she can be the center of someone's world, surrounded by the love, affection, and companionship that she so freely gives to everyone she meets.
