Story
Denver is a 6-year-old Staffordshire/Lab/Boxer mix and a loyal, loving companion. This is an incredibly difficult decision, but after welcoming a newborn and raising an active 3-year-old, we’ve realized our home is no longer the right fit for him. Denver is crate trained, knows commands, has had extensive training, and is highly food motivated and eager to please. He bonds deeply with his people and thrives with structure, consistency, and an active lifestyle. He would do best in an adult home or one with older, respectful children. He can play rough with other dogs and needs proper introductions. No cats or small animals. He was born with a naturally short tail (not docked). Denver has so much love to give and deserves a home where he can thrive. Please reach out if you think you may be the right match.

Story
Norm was brought into our lives at 9 weeks old from a shelter and has been a good boy for the last few years. He has an "eeyore" like personality, loves snuggles, his big red herding ball, swimming, fetch, and FOOD. Norm is extremely trainable and food motivated and can walk quite nicely on a slip lead figure 8 attached leash. We are heartbroken that we need to rehome Norm because he really only has one behavior issue - he has shown signs of resource guarding around our 13 month old child. He has not shown aggression, just warning communication through growl/snarled lip and we're playing it safe. We have done training and he comes with lifetime support from Dog Wizard. He's familiar with training that can redirect him from poor behavior. Norm should be in a home without children, with a fenced yard, and can be with other dogs, pending introduction. He should be in a relaxed home with predictable routine. He will make the most loyal companion to someone looking for a really good boy.

Story
Luna 4 years old, and we have had her since she was about 10 weeks. She's about 60? Pretty small but a strong build. She came up from Tennessee on the love train, which is when the Huron Valley Humane Society brings up a van full of puppies from kill shelters.  She's a pitt-mix, has some herding, lab, and pitt in her. I have the doggy DNA test if interested. Our priority is to rehome her to a home that is ideal for her and the humans. After consulting with a trainer and from what we know about her, this would be a home that is on some land, maybe a dirt road or not a busy neighborhood, with a human who lives a quiet life (no kids) and one who probably wants to "train" her or help bring her anxiety down via environment or maybe additional medication. If a person is willing to work with her a lot, the not busy neighborhood would be less of an issue. We also have two credits to a dog trainer who can help with this.

Story
Chase is two years old and a bundle of fun. We are looking for a home with a yard fenced, no smokers in the home. Active, someone young enough for him to live his entire long life out with. He's active and friendly, busy, likes to play. We are looking for a home probably with another dog in it, no little kids. He does seem to have allergies so he needs food that will not set him off. He needs grooming every six weeks or so. He loves long walks. Needs to be brushed daily. For more information call or text me at 517 294 4514. Marlas2468@yahoo.com

Story
Hi Everyone, I need to rehome my six year-old coonhound, Tusk. His previous owner, a family member, could no longer take care of him. His previous owner agreed to give him to me. I am searching for a loving, stable home for him. He is a sweet, loyal companion. He is brimming with energy but loves a good long nap after a day in the woods. He is always curious. His favorite hobby is exploring the woodlands. He could stay out there all day if he could have his way :) He is eager to learn. When you have him by your side, everyday is an opportunity for fun and adventure. After a day of exploring, he loves to curl up in the evening for a nice long sleep throughout the night. He would thrive in a rural area with nature-minded people. Right now, he lives with me in a small apartment in Ypsilanti. I would be so happy if anyone who fits that description would like to adopt him. Thank you for your time and consideration.
