Story
We got Penny from a shelter in Ohio about 1 year ago. She is about 5-6 years old now. I'm looking for a home for her that is quiet and steady. She is a very anxious dog and, although never lashes out or acts out, you can tell she gets scared easily. When our kids are loud or there is work being done in the house (ie carpentry etc) she will hide in a corner and shake. She is otherwise very quiet and reserved, but loving when shown love. And when she opens up she is very playful when she is asked to be. She is overall my perfect pet, but we had a second child a few months ago and since then she has been less of a priority - which is not fair to her.

Story
UPDATE: He's had a hernia surgery and a dental as two teeth had to be pulled. He also had his worst eye removed. Now he's actually getting around way better as that eye was remaining infected no matter how much we treated the eye. Sweet Baylen is in need of a new family who can attend to his needs. He's healthy now, however his family could no longer afford to have a pet that gets healthy food, vet care and exercise daily as they have young children to care for first and foremost. He has some vision issues but he does learn the lay out of the house quickly and he's acting as if he has vision but we know it's limited. He is a velcro dog so he stays close but is reluctant to walk in dark areas. He's such a love bug. He is such a great dog, really needs someone who is home most of the time or has another loving dog in the home to hang with. Wants to sleep with you. We are looking for these specific things for rehoming him. A home with a fenced back yard that does not use chemicals on their lawn. He loves to run around free and check out the smells, we'd like him to have a safe place to be off leash. A non-smoking home. A home with someone who is home the majority of the time. A home who can afford very healthy food, yearly vet care, dental cleanings every couple years and heartworm and flea care monthly, premium beef food. A person or persons who are very active and walk daily often and will make him a full family member. He is a young dog, so we want a younger adopter. He can live MANY more years, so we want an adopter who is younger than 62 but older than 25. We do not want to risk another rehoming during his life. He's been through so much already. We do age-appropriate adoptions always. Someone who would be able to afford to get pet insurance as the reason the family couldn't keep him is the rising costs of vet bills and appointments and care. If the previous family had insurance, they could have afforded to keep him. While he gets along with children we need a home for him without young children. He has not had the chance to be a, "come first" family member due to so many others in the home already and he's so sweet, he deserves a home with people who will focus on him for a change but he gets along GREAT with other low key dogs and cats so having another dog for him would be perfect. Or playful cat could work as well. For more information call or text me at 517 294 4514 or email your phone number to me at marlas2468@yahoo.com

Story
Ben is a 4-year-old Male. He is smart, loving and loves a good belly rub. Ben listens to commands (sit, lay, shake). Ben is a very protective dog, he is apprehensive around strangers. A home with small children is not recommended. Someone who can spend time with Ben is also recommended as he does have separation anxiety. Ben does get along with other dogs. A home with a fenced in yard would be ideal. He is also an excellent car passenger, he will curl up and sleep on car rides. We are happy to provide a full year of his food budget. Approximately $400.
