Denver

Staffordshire Bull Terrier Great Dane

Male, Adult
Milan, MI
Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
Not good with kids, Good with dogs, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Denver is a 6-year-old Staffordshire/Lab/Boxer mix and a loyal, loving companion. This is an incredibly difficult decision, but after welcoming a newborn and raising an active 3-year-old, we’ve realized our home is no longer the right fit for him. Denver is crate trained, knows commands, has had extensive training, and is highly food motivated and eager to please. He bonds deeply with his people and thrives with structure, consistency, and an active lifestyle. He would do best in an adult home or one with older, respectful children. He can play rough with other dogs and needs proper introductions. No cats or small animals. He was born with a naturally short tail (not docked). Denver has so much love to give and deserves a home where he can thrive. Please reach out if you think you may be the right match.

Story
Barkley is a happy, fit, and attentive 6-year-old Lab who loves to be by his person's side. He'll gladly join you for fetch, swimming, long runs, hikes, walks — you name it. He can also relax with you or be alone indoors. He's house-trained, doesn't destroy household items, and will snuggle with you on the couch while you watch a movie. Barkley completed boarding obedience school, follows basic commands, and is highly food-motivated, so he's easy to train and a pleasure to live with. He allows brushing and ear cleaning, his vaccines are current (Rabies, DHPP, Lepto, Lyme), and he is neutered and microchipped. Sadly, we are seeking to re-home him because he hasn't adjusted well to living with a young child. He is not suitable for a home with children or male dogs. Please reach out if you think Barkley might bring joy to your life, as he has ours.

Norm

Hound (Unknown Type) Labrador Retriever

Male, Adult
Ann Arbor, MI
Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
Not good with kids, Good with dogs, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Norm was brought into our lives at 9 weeks old from a shelter and has been a good boy for the last few years. He has an "eeyore" like personality, loves snuggles, his big red herding ball, swimming, fetch, and FOOD. Norm is extremely trainable and food motivated and can walk quite nicely on a slip lead figure 8 attached leash. We are heartbroken that we need to rehome Norm because he really only has one behavior issue - he has shown signs of resource guarding around our 13 month old child. He has not shown aggression, just warning communication through growl/snarled lip and we're playing it safe. We have done training and he comes with lifetime support from Dog Wizard. He's familiar with training that can redirect him from poor behavior. Norm should be in a home without children, with a fenced yard, and can be with other dogs, pending introduction. He should be in a relaxed home with predictable routine. He will make the most loyal companion to someone looking for a really good boy.

Jasper

St. Bernard Standard Poodle

Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details

Story
Jasper is a Portagese Water Dog and a July 4th birthday doggie, he's six years old and gets along with other dogs and kids. He is a amazing guard dog and is used to older people. He is very protective of his home and his people. He lives with two small dogs and is losing his home at no fault of his own. His owner is moving from MI to FL to be with her autistic grandson who doesn't understand boundaries and personal space. While Jasper is good with people he knows well, he is protective of the other dogs in his family and with this grandchild he will not understand he's autistic. Many dogs with autistic family members often do not understand the clues since autistic people don't understand social cues. Some dogs gravitate to them, other dogs are confused by the connection that is missing. Jasper is one of those dogs. He will not understand when he's grabs and pinched which is what this grand child does. We need to find Jasper a new, quiet home. A home where he can be the best of who his is. A protector of the home and his people. We are looking for a home with a fenced yard and a active person who can walk him and he can again live the life he's come to love. He loves to play, fetch and take long relaxing walks and play with other dogs. He is fixed, up to date on shots and is in desperate need of the love he's about to lose in losing his home. Story
Inu was adopted as a pup from a rescue. She was in a home with two other female labs and that really didn't work out long term very well. As she got older she became the alpha needing most of the attention. She is a great companion and a good family dog if she's the only dog in the home. She's in a big house now with a lot of property so we need a similar situation for her in that respect. A non smoking home with a active family. She'd be fine with pre teens or older. She's faithful, sweet and active. For more information call or text me at 517 294 4514 or email me at marlas2468!yahoo.com
