Story
Norm was brought into our lives at 9 weeks old from a shelter and has been a good boy for the last few years. He has an "eeyore" like personality, loves snuggles, his big red herding ball, swimming, fetch, and FOOD. Norm is extremely trainable and food motivated and can walk quite nicely on a slip lead figure 8 attached leash. We are heartbroken that we need to rehome Norm because he really only has one behavior issue - he has shown signs of resource guarding around our 13 month old child. He has not shown aggression, just warning communication through growl/snarled lip and we're playing it safe. We have done training and he comes with lifetime support from Dog Wizard. He's familiar with training that can redirect him from poor behavior. Norm should be in a home without children, with a fenced yard, and can be with other dogs, pending introduction. He should be in a relaxed home with predictable routine. He will make the most loyal companion to someone looking for a really good boy.

Story
Jimmy Durian was beat up and very shutdown when we met him - he was very sick and underweight, he had been in survival mode outside with his siblings before Animal Control Officers found them. Once in a foster home, Jimmy was crate trained and liked sleeping curled up in his own space. Jimmy is passive and got picked on frequently by bigger male dogs so he was paired up with happy female dogs to play and help him gain confidence. As Jimmy played and had outside time, he gained muscle and started to heal. He would love a dog friend to keep him company as a shy dog - eventually he realized cuddles by humans were just as desirable. Jimmy is overwhelmed by being in public space and lays down when put on a leash. Facebook Reel: https://www.facebook.com/share/r/1X9KpiuDR9/ Seeking a family to continue to socialize this sweet Boy. Now neutered, Up to Date on Vaccines, Microchipped, Testing Negative for Heartworms and on Preventions. His current weight is 65 lbs, he is tall and lean. Story
Luna was found wandering in Font Bend County (south of Houston) in a rural area with just a few homes. She was skinny and small, guessed to be aged between 18 months and 2 years old. A family found her and cared for her while looking for rescue connections to help her find a good family. Luna needed deworming, heartworm treatment and to be spayed - her ribs and hip bones were showing so probiotics and supplements were added to her diet. Luna remained active at her foster home, she warms up quickly to strangers and only barks when she wants to play. Crate trained, house trained and naps on pillows - Luna has grown taller and put on muscle - 46 lbs at her last vet appointment. Luna Lynn is now microchipped, spayed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm treated and on prevention. Story
Introducing Madeline!! This gorgeous little gal was added to the euthanasia list at a local shelter after only 2 days because she was so scared she wouldn't walk on a leash. Thankfully a wonderful family stepped up to foster her, saving her life with only minutes to spare. Now in a home Maddie is thriving and loving every minute of it. Maddy is a good girl with the softest fur. She is doing great with potty and kennel training and loves attention. She walks well on leash and rides nicely in the car ready for your next adventure. She likes all dogs and cats she has met with proper introductions and would love a friendly fur sibling in her forever home. Although she’s blossoming in a home environment, it’s clear Maddy hasn’t had the easiest start in life. Sadly, stray dogs are sometimes treated very poorly, and we suspect she may have experienced that kind of cruelty before she was rescued. She warms up quickly to adults and older kids, but around smaller children she becomes very frightened and will retreat to a corner shaking. With patience, kindness, and positive experiences, we hope she can continue to build confidence, but she will need a family committed to helping her work through those fears. Madeline is estimated to be about 9 months old and currently weighs 40 lbs. We expect she’ll grow into the perfect medium-large sized companion. She has so much love to give, and we can’t wait to find her the forever home she deserves, one that will continue to socialize her, provide training and exercise, and help her grow into the amazing dog she’s meant to be. She may have had a difficult start, but Madeline’s future is bright. Maddie is being fostered in Houston Texas but is available for adoption many places around the country. Her adoption fee of $600 includes the cost of transport. If you think Madeline is your next best friend apply today: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/DSTR/Dog

Story
Joey Dion is a no-nonsense kind of dude, if he wore jeans - they would be heavily starched. Just shy of 2 years-old an all natural red Doberman with a cautious side, he enjoys being part of a pack and playing hard. He pancakes in new situations outside of his foster home, Joey stays quiet -no growling, no barking- and stares at new things and people. When he warms up, he is bossy and vocal, barking for attention. Joey can be too rough with smaller dogs and too assertive for male dogs. He loves being outside, sniffing and running. Crate trained. Seeking a family to continue to socialize this Texas boy. Now neutered, Up to Date on Vaccines, Microchipped, Testing Negative for Heartworms and on Preventions. His current weight is 65 lbs, he is all and lean.
