Story

Silas is a 5 month old American Bully / Catahoula mix! We got him from an accidental breeding when he was 8 weeks old. Very quickly we started to notice signs of aggression and reactivity, but we just passed it off as normal puppy behavior. He was particularly targeting my 4yr old niece. When I realized it was going to be a major problem, I sent him to a 2 week board and train, just for basic manors. It did a lot for us, but it didn’t help his problems. My trainer advised me to either keep him and put all of my time and money in, or I should rehome him as he was not safe to have around my niece and nephew. I decided to keep him and work through his problems. It was going very well and they were bonding, until he went to attack her 3 weeks ago. Although he was unsuccessful, we decided we could no longer keep him. It was unsafe. However we very strongly believe he will thrive in another home with someone who is more qualified for his reactivity. He is also reactive to strangers at first.

Hello everyone. We are looking to rehome our dog. Henry has been with us for 3 years. We adopted him from Providence he has been a great dog. He’s around 11 years old and is very calm. I don’t believe he can hear anymore. We recently had our second child and Henry is very unaware of his surroundings. So with our 1 year old baby he has ran into her a few times. Which is making it a danger situation in the house. We want him to have a good home no fee and whatever dog food we have with go with him. Thanks!

Story

Hussle was given to us by a family member when he was 6 months old. The reason why she couldn't keep him was because her daughter is severely allergic to dogs. We have had Hussle for a little over 6 years now and they have been an adventure. Our family’s schedule has changed, and we are no longer able to give Hussle the time and attention he deserves. He experiences separation anxiety and does best when he is not left alone for long periods. It's because of this he is on anxiety medication. After a lot of thought, we feel that finding him a home that better fits his needs is the best decision for him. Hussle is very loved, and this has not been an easy decision for our family. We want to make sure he is placed in a safe, loving home where he can receive the companionship and attention he needs.

Skylar had a rough past. She was kept in a cage the first two years of her life prior to adopting her at the SPCA. She is a very sweet and loving dog. She never barks and it’s good with cats and kids. Unfortunately we do not believe she is good with other dogs. She does have allergies that require medication for her ears.

Background/Parentage: He was born March 2026 into an accidental litter of 7 puppies and is the last of his siblings to depart. He comes from a 50-pound, 21-inch Goldendoodle mother and a 30-pound, 18-inch Irish Terrier father.Health: He is fully vaccinated, completely dewormed, and has no existing health concerns. At 6 months old, he is officially ready for his neuter surgery. He currently weighs 30 pounds and stands 18 inches tall.Temperament/Personality: He has a playful and very loving personality. He is a quiet dog who rarely barks outside of playing with his siblings, though he will give an alert bark if he hears strange noises outside.Socialization: Great with adults and children. He is friendly with outside dogs on walks and at the dog park, but because he has only lived with his immediate canine family, I cannot say how he would do living with unrelated dogs.Training: He is crate trained and mostly house-trained, but still has accidents. We are working on leash-pulling.

Sweet Heather came to us when a realtor reached out about a woman moving and needing to rehome their dog. When our volunteers went there, the woman was losing her house and it was a hoarding case. Heather was well cared for considering, on preventatives, fed good food, annual vet visits and her mom loved her and had her since she was a puppy. It took Heather a bit to settle in her foster home, to be expected. But she is quite happy now, with two other foster sibling dogs to lounge with. She loves her daily walks and loves snuggling with her foster mom at night. She is a shedder, but loves to be brushed. She literally smiles at you when you brush her and pet her. She loves attention, and will bop her head in and under your hand for attention. She is on arthritis medicine which has helped her tremendously. She actually runs inside when her foster mom calls her. Her medication will cost you about $60 monthly. Heather is spayed, up to date on her shots and ready for her forever home.
